  1. The club and the forum are completely separate entities. The club is an organisation of people with a constitution that is run according to trade practices legislation. The forum is privately owned by PranK. I am the democratically elected President of the club but I am also a moderator of some areas of the forum. These are two separate positions. The club uses the forum as a method of communication with it's members. The club runs events like the Show 'n' Shine and track days, drift days, bbq/observation cruises, Texikhanas and so on. The club also organises discounts for it's members at various businesses. The forum as an official entity runs nothing other than the forum. Any events organised through it are organised by individuals or groups of people using the forum as a method of communication only. Hope that clears things up a little.
  2. I think the Treasurer might have something to say about that.
  3. I think I will ditch this. Got 2 tix for sale now. Albert - reply coming shortly.
  4. And you guys didn't even bend my bits!
  5. Yay for me! Thanks Greg, and everyone else. I hope to provide lots of interesting and varied events over the coming year. I hope you patronise them well and enjoy them too. Of course I wouldn't be able to do this without my team. Ps, I know Greg is just buttering me up so I don't abscond without giving him that beer I owe him.
  6. Well at least you got the right colour, and you got the lighter car too.
  7. That's what I reckon so that' why I made it that way.
  8. I've got 2 tickets but I'm not 100% sure if I'm going at the moment. I just looked on ebay today and they are going for $150 each! Crazy scalpers.
  9. Are you old and Indian? What's Funky Munky's dad driving these days. He had the Cefiro last time I knew. Ahh, I thought I recognised you but just wasn't sure at all. Yes I remember you letting me in there. Everytime I looked over you were looking the other way though. I think your mrs likes my car man. Watch out! hehe j/k.
  10. 85mm outside diamter, 70mm inside, 2mm thick. As I said, mine are thick. Much like myself.
  11. Posts updated. I suspect that I can get other discounts as a group buy once we have the numbers up so feel free to post up questions on any other parts you might want coated. He's got some pretty lurid colours available too. Personally I'm looking at the black graphite coating I think it is that transfers the heat out rather than holding it in. This is used on the inlet side of the engine, eg compressor covers and inlet manifolds. Better than paint for that RB26 plenum if yours is peeling.
  12. Hey guys. I have spoken to SK and told him about this thread. He is extremely busy atm and whiteline themselves are behind too. I have spoken with one of the directors of Whiteline a couple of times recently so I know this is true. SK is still innundated with pm's every day but he does eventually get to them all. I agree that the delays are not very business-like but that's for SK to sort out. For now I'm just posting here to tell you that he hasn't absconded with anyones money.
  13. So what have you got? GTR diff, housing, and different tail shaft? Nismo half shafts and GTST drive shafts?
  14. They look like pineapple rings but metal and can be any thickness. Mine are about 3 or 4 mm thick and I'm told they were unusually thick.
  15. Looks dirty and has really crap wheels.
  16. If it's just the seals then $700. You can't rebuild it yourself.
  17. Are you putting out heaps of power? If not I'd get an R32 box as they are cheap.
  18. I think it just moved after park was engaged but before the handbrake. Seems normal.
  19. Need to measure the wheelbase. Should be easy for you to find an R33 coupe to measure! In the R34 the wheelbase, and therefore the tailshaft, are the same.
  20. Noted. We are getting close to full now guys. About 5 spots left.
  21. No official timing but I'm sure we can get a few people with mobiles timing on the wall. We will probably have a bit of a crowd so just ask someone.
  22. Actually it's niether. It's the polished ceramic coating and looks like this. I'm trying to get a stock manifold with coating pic. The black coating is much more expensive as not only is the raw material 4 times the cost of the polished ceramic, but it is actually applied over the top of it. So you have two layers. Stuart at Pro Coat has told me that the black coating is more used in full racing situations. It's called TurboX. He can do this coating for us at a similar discount but may cost around an additional 80% on the above quoted prices. If there is demand for this I will get solid prices. Here's a pic of the black coating. Now you might like the polished look and get your bits coated for asthetic reasons but it's actually there to hold the heat in. Basically you get two benefits: 1. By maintaining heat in the exhaust gases you maintain the velocity. As the heat dissipates it loses velocity. In a turbo car you want that exhaust exiting as fast as possible. 2. Reduced engine bay temperatures.
