    SK! Do you know anything about the turbo GCG are offering thats " somewhere inbetween" the 450 & 500hp units?

    230rwkw is no slouch Robo.. When I was enquiring about turbo upgrades for the R33 SK advised me that the 500hp GCG unit would be more suitable for an RB30 application and that the 450hp would suit the Rb25 alot more so therefore I chose that turbo soley on SK's recommendation..

    Yeah dont be bullied into going external gate.. If 30kw is really that important to you then go for it, or if you plan on building your car further then go for it if funds permit.

    Excedy/daiken 5 button heavy duty.. Will be upgrading to twin plate when this clutch dies..

    Bigcarl, perhaps an aftermarket ecu such as an apexi power fc could help your car get more out of your current setup? Link ecu's just dont cut it for me..

    No, im running standard compression. I have 3 inch exhaust from turbo back, 3 inch highflow cat, custom front mount intercooler, Haltec coil pack, electronic boost control from the haltec ecu.. btw, everycar will react slighty different from similar mods. Your setup might max out at 240 - 250kw, where someone else may acheive 260 - 270kw... Will get you dyno sheet ASAP mate..

    BTW, the turbo GCG 450hp is at its limit at that power (265kw), we ran it at 25psi and it didnt make anymore power then it did at 20psi so we left at that..

    My car has just had a full engine rebuild.. But was making the same power about before I had the rebuild.. Power is really nice, Have got a tomei adjustable exhaust cam gear as well and full boost is acheived at 3400rpms.

    Hi carl, I have ecu, fuel pressure reg, 600hp fuel pump, gcg 450hp turbo, runs 20psi all the time..

    Not everyone has the money to throw around on a new manifold and external gate.. Thats why I chose the rebuild option... 250RWKW and above is plenty for the street..

    I got a GCG 450hp turbo and it makes around 265kw at wheels.. Not sure on Hp, I think its about 360 or so.. Looks standard but hauls arse over the standard turbo.. But then again its around 2k for the rebuild so you have to weigh up what you want the car to be for before selecting your turbo setup ect..

    hmm if you should shop around you could locate an LS Integra 89/91 model for your 5K budget.. Might not be in tip top condition though, Keep an eye out for a swift GTI...

    So does the turbo bolt right up to a R33 manifold? And just requires a wastegate? What size gate would suit..?

    Skylines are good value for the money, I remember seeing an old magazine about UAS and R33 GTST.. It was about 1998 and the price for an R33 GTST 96 model was over 40K...
