Any place can do an illegal tint on the car for you. YOu just wont receive any warranty or receipt for the work. If your car is a coupe get the driver and passenger window a legal limit, Then you can get every other window (rear quarter windows and rear window) as dark as you want legally. Thats how i had it on my r33 and you still atleast have a warranty and no excuse for the insurance company not to pay you out if you have an accident. Stupid as it sounds they can refuse to pay up if your window tint is too dark :|

your right they do check over the whole car. But think about this. I passed with a HKS GT2540 turbo, Exhuast, Tein Adjustable suspension. I hid my turbo timer under the dash. Not a problem.
