Ive taken off my bov once before to see what the fuss was all about. I did make my car sound like that only when the turbo chokes itself on 17 pounds of boost. The noise hurts because you can feel it eating your turbo lol. It does sound like shit on the stock turbo at stock boost.

Wouldnt recommend taking it off. Guess Nissan did put the blow off valve there for a reason. Blocking it or taking it off will cause you to run rich, as in popping almost every gear change, and cause your car to frequently stall. As for the life of a stock turbo, the wheel is ceramic. People's ceramic turbo's fail with blow off valves, so imagine without :|

Dont quote me here but i think the reason they dont put blow off valves on it is so that it has quick off-on throttle response. Think about it, its HKS... do they care if their turbo dies?

Well after 3 years of ownership the skyline is sold! Was sold to a guy on these forums and i hope he has as much fun as i did! Just want to thank everyone who helped me out in the past! From little things like Brake Pads to more indept talk about modyfying her! Will be sad to see her get driven away tomorrow Hopefully one day ill be in a skyline seat again (probably a model that hasnt been designed yet lol) And yes ill still continue whoring these forums lol Oh and if you want your car to be the next RBDET! Well if you are running everything stock and chucking on a fmic dont think you need to tune anything. You will need a powerfc or get your ecu chipped to make it tunable. I dont hear any mention on a powerfc or anything tunable so i think that comment is a bit useless

To the people complainin as you see this thread was made over 1 year ago! Thats how much these phones cost back then! Give the guy a break, i think he obviously knows that its not worth that much anymore, and i cant see any posts made by him that are newer that June 2005 :|

lol dezz, why have any backlight in the first place then lol. Wouldnt reverse EL Dials suit your gauges more + Be brighter and you would be able to see everything?

I would consider doing all this if there was a way we show the whole legnth of the needles. Anyone actually get everything perfect? As in equal light spread and no dark spots on the needle?
