  1. Amazingly fast is the only way to describe this immaculately presented Nissan Skyline GTR. With a long list of modifications including: - Nismo N1 Turbos, - Trust Intercooler, - Nismo N1 High Fuel Pump, - 600cc Injectors, - Blitz airpods, - Aftermarket High flow Exhaust, - Greddy Electronic Boost Controller, - Trust Front Piping and a; - Mines tuned Computer, this highly modified GTR goes like a rocket. In addition to the extensive list of power modifications the vehicles handling has been upgraded and includes the following modifications: - Tein coilover suspension, - 17 inch Sparco Racing Alloys and - Braided Brake Lines which makes this beautifully presented vehicle the complete package with both performance and handling. This vehicle has been well maintained and comes with long registration. If you are a serious car enthusiast who appreciates supreme performance and enjoys taking your pride and joy to track days do not miss this opportunity to own one of the quickest road registered cars around. Priced at only $23500 with approximately $20000 worth of modifications, you will not find a better valued sports car for this price anywhere. No tire kickers. 0413284707 [email protected]
  2. GTR gearbox R32 - $300. No transfer case or gearstick. Good working order.
  3. After running my R32 GTR in diagnostic mode the Hicas light flashes four times quickly and then the fifth flash is a long one. The Hicas light turns off for a couple of seconds before repeating the above sequence. I have read the Hicas diagnostic codes above but I am unsure how to interpret them. Any help would be appreciated.
  4. I am experiencing exactly what you are experiencing Drift Squad except the Hicas subframe has been removed on my R32 GTR i.e. no more Hicas. The ECU has also been reprogrammed/chipped. The hoses were also plumbed back from where the Hicas was removed. The car has power steering for the first few minutes and then reasonably quickly the steering becomes heavy at which time the Hicas light comes on until the car is turned off. When it is started again the above symptoms are repeated. Any ideas?
  5. Do you have the two rear seat belt buckles. I am happy to give you $20 for both rear side passenger buckles. Please either call me on 0413284707 or email me on [email protected]. Cheers Nick
  6. BP Ultimate is my fuel of choice! I have heard of people having serious engine problems with Optimax. One guy in particular was going to take Shell to court because he had proof that the Optimax he got from Braddon caused his engine to fail on his Lancer GSR. Personally I ran Optimax in my R33 for a couple of years without any problems. I guess when you find something that works, stick with it!
  7. It seems I was worrying about nothing. I ended up getting the Key King in Woden to cut it. Bunnings is good for general things but they didn't have the right blank key and they didn't have a machine screw a needed.
  8. Thanks guys. I will give Watch World a go.
  9. I went down to Bunnings to get a spare key cut for my GTR and surprise surprise they didn't have the right blank. Can anyone tell me where I can get a GTR key cut in Canberra? Cheers
  10. Had a good time. Good to catch up with Ewen and Nick. Strilo if you are free tomorrow drop me a line and I will come around. It has been 5 days since my car was registered and I still can't get the smile off my face
  11. The cars registered so I might be able to make it. I will know for sure a little later.
  12. Speaking from experience (last Thursday). I tried to take my lightly modified GTR over the pits at Dickson and those pricks bent me right over and jammed the biggest thing they could find right up my arse The left low beam head light didn't work, fair enough. But they also got me for not having child restraint clips (the brackets are installed) and the one that completely pissed me off was they failed me for not having an owners manual. The car is very clean. No major mods and they still screwed me. The funny thing is that I have registered several imports in the past and this was the worst experience I have had with Dickson. If you think that NSW rego will be straight forward my suggestion is to register it in NSW. Dickson inspectors are complete Wankers!!! My 2 cents
  13. I am in my house at Gordon. You should come over some time.
  14. If my GTR is registered count me in.
  15. He is clearing his shop out but I think that my blue GTR will still be there. After blowing my engine with my previous GTR you are right Stirlo, it has been a long time coming.
  16. Hey Stirlo, If you are still in the valley you can come by my place and borrow mine. Let me know if you are interested.
  17. I hopefully will have my Grey GTR with the white Volks registered tomorrow. Hanging big time to take it for a drive.
  18. Thanks for that Nik. Remind me not to go up against your beast. Ed's partner Anthony was estimating close to 350kw's @ the wheels after your last round of work. Very impressive
  19. Hey blackdoggette. The grey and blue GTR's are mine. I am keeping the Grey one and selling the blue one. If anyone wants a nice R32 GTR it will be one of the best priced GTR's around. I also have a very clean R32 GTST if anyone is interested. Nik, when I was at Integra at lunch today Ed was just taking your car for its tune up It has been with Ed for a while, I imagine you would be hanging to get it back.
  20. My brother registered his 15 year old RX7 today and he didn't have a compliance plate or an engineers certificate. All he had to do was get a road worthy certificate. Hopefully this clarifies the compliance plate issue.
  21. As for those who are sceptical and even negative about people who purchase 15 year old GTR’s, I wish to express my first hand experience with my 1989 GTR. I purchase a slightly modified 1989 GTR and imported it in February. As some of you may be aware, I experienced serious problems with my car as it basically failed while driving it home from Sydney to Canberra. It was confirmed by Skyline Performance Imports that the problems were because I was unknowingly driving the car a full boost (close to 30psi) and not at all because of the condition or age of the car. A very expensive lesson to have to learn. The owner of Skyline Performance Imports said that the car was in better condition than a lot of his friends 92-94 GTR’s which are obviously considerably newer… He was so impressed with the car that he has actually offered to buy it off of me for more than I paid for it with a healthy engine. I also know of 3 other people who are driving 1989 GTR’s around without any problems at all. I find it hard to believe that people out there have a negative perception about an 89 GTR. These people should be fully aware of the pedigree of the GTR as I have on many occasions heard how they are built with a bullet proof engine and drive chain. If my parent’s piece of shit 1987 Saab turbo is still going strong with well over 400000Km’s on the clock, I would expect that a GTR should be able to travel similar distances. It is obvious that a lot of the people out there that feel badly about 15 year old GTR’s are more concerned about the personal position i.e. they are GTR owners who are about to loose a lot of money because as more GTR’s are imported into Australia, supply of GTR’s to the market increases and thus prices decrease to match the demand, simple economics. My advice to anyone considering a GTR is to buy yourself a nice clean 1989 GTR before it is too late because you will not get a better car for the money.
  22. OK It has been confirmed that the car requires a full engine rebuild (around $8K) I was unknowingly driving the car on full boost (close to 30psi) which resulted in the damaging of the rings and pistons. A very very expensive lesson to have to learn...
  23. I am pretty sure that you don't require an Engineers certificate to register the car. I have spoken to the motor registry and they indicated that to register car all that was necessary is a regular car registration inspection. I would imagine that they would check then for side intrusion bars, stop lights and child restrainsts?
