  1. Dunno' mate? It'll depend on how well the house purchase & investments go. I doubt it'll be within the next 12mths.
  2. Thanks Andy Naaa mate my involvement won't totally cease, it's just that in order for me to enjoy myself "I" would NEED to have a decent car. I'll go nuts if I see all these awesome cars around me & I no longer have one myself I can see myself getting new bodyboarding gear (a few new boards & wetties) & a return to my other great passion. For a while anyway. I'll still aim for a quick 1/4 time upon the cars return. Once that's achieved it'll probably be up for sale.
  3. Well they are. It just depends on how long you want it to last My next car will be another Skyline (R33-R34 GT-R) or a MKIV Supra TT. Won't be for a looong time though. House & investments first, then comes the next expensive car.
  4. Hip, Take one RB25DET with a few kays on it (I doubt the odo is legit - 57k). Wind up the wick, without doing internal mod's. And it's only a matter of time before something lets go (usually ring lands in the RB25DET). ~3yrs with 200+rwkw (~15000k) isn't too bad considering the recent power & drag strip potential. No I didn't drive it much. I looked after it bloody well (ALL oils/filters changed every 2k or so!) Those who've seen my car would probably agree it has been well well looked after. But it doesn't make the engine any less likely to fail if asked to do too much. Under NO circumstances will my car have parts removed for sale! It goes as a complete car or not at all!
  5. Well it was bound to happen sooner or later, yep the whatsisname mobile is in for a rebuild. Forgies, o'ring the block, 8.0:1 comp ratio & all the other bits that a rebuild entails. As per most RB25DET failures there was zero power loss, nil detonation detected (probably inaudible whilst givin it heaps?) Basically all was going well until a morning drive to RPM (for minor power making tweaks ) & I noticed blue/white smoke as if I was driving a clapped out worn rings Astron powered Sigma A comp' test/leak down test will follow shortly, to confirm which cylinder/s, as per usual. It goes without saying that I won't be running at the drag day In fact I'd go so far as to say that once fixed the car will be sold not long after. That's the way things go when a wife has had enough. Shit happens Edit: As the car will be going I'll probably wind back on forum involvement (not much fun when I don't have a decent car) so someone else might like to take over as forum moderator (& join Joel). Cheers all, Matt
  6. Clint, Goodluck mate, hope the diff arrives. Yeah the people on the list that have paid are it so far, to the best of my knowledge? Ivan PM's me as people pay & I update the list. I guess everyone is waiting till the last wk? Henry, Thanks mate.
  7. Clint, The people who have paid are in the entry list at the start of this thread mate. I've put a PAID next to those that have. There's plenty of people still to pay (myself included - paying tommorrow). You just need to get the dollars to Ivan (RPM) by Friday or Monday next week. Cheers mate, Matt
  8. Yep guys Tan is well Not as mobile as she'd like atm but getting there. The lastest round of mods & dyno runs are being done at RPM. I'll be spending the day getting my hands dirty too (polishing stuff mostly). It would be nice to see a dyno run on the Morpowa dyno to use as a comparison, Martin would be the man to see for this Graham, Hope your wife is doing well mate.
  9. Very well said Greg (grepin). To be honest I didn't have any reason to do another dyno run 'just yet', but "was" intending to go to support SAU involvement. A recovering wife would've become ex-wife if I did. It's workshops like RPM, Morpowa, Tilbrooks etc that are instrumental in helping the import scene grow in SA. We, South Australians, are very lucky to have the number of decent import specialist workshops that we have, given our relatively small population/size. Talking of dyno runs, I will be hitting the dyno next Wednesday. Got a new custom dump pipe being made & the dump/front fitted with heat wrap. Add to that a few other exhaust system changes & tune tweaks. Should be a touch louder if nothing else
  10. All I can say is, *sorry to Martin & the guys at Morpowa* I hope those that do attend have a good day. R33 GTST 4Door, Yep mate, bring her down.
  11. Stickers? Ok you've sprung me guys. Here's my plan for Autosalon re stickers - I was thinking of putting some of those easily removable babies room decorating stickers on my 33, you know like some Winnie the poo kinda stuff. Would that be fully sik mate or what!? In fact you could be fully sik on them & it'd wipe right off no prob's Hip, You be watchin' me dude? I do indeed scope the Trust sticker action @ Autobarn. Although I've found Car Toys have a better selection of Trust stickers. I like to think of myself as a Trust sticker connoisseur Andy, The tough 33 GTS25t you're thinking of belongs to 'Spoolin' (Lee). 282rwkw on the Tilbrook dyno day. His car still has an RB25DET but with RB26 internals. Dunno' where he is these days? MattR/John, Why do you guys wanna' go up into the hills to get computer parts? :D
  12. It's a bit of a bummer, we're dropping out hand over fist Oh well, these things happen. Thanks for letting us know in advance guys.
  13. Rob, I wonder if your oxy sensor has shat itself? A fresh set of plugs (or a clean if they're big $ plugs) is on the cards, as they'd be fouled for sure. I'm sure Martin & the Morpowa guys will rectify the problem.
  14. Thanks Erica. It's all cool though, nothing serious
  15. Thanks for the kind words John. To be totally honest I really don't think my car is all that flash. It's getting there though, bit by bit. Interior is the next point of focus, oh yeah.... & a 12sec 1/4 Slumming in a 34 GT-R, you poor bugger. Hey I can lend you my Sigma if you like, & I'll put up with the 34
  16. Thanks mate. It's not too serious so things "should" be all ok.
  17. Yep mate I sure do. 1 x wife & 1 x 8mth old baby girl
  18. My apologies to all, as I will no longer be able to attend the dyno day A family hospitalisation is occurring at the same time. I hope the day is a good one & everyone enjoys themselves I was looking forward to the BBQ too! See you all on the drag day. I won't be missing that one! Cheers, Matt
  19. Sounds like you talking about the VCT solenoid.
  20. Fastest rice car, yeah I'd give that award a ago. Friday night, naaa wasn't me mate. Do you remember the plate no? Pretty easy to tell if it's me via my plate.
  21. All sounds good to me mate. I'll add the CTR to the list.
  22. Hmmm, yeah I'd be in that.
  23. Yeah I think my quote of "very powerful" was a tad OTT. Mick mentioned it'd run 122mph TS on the 1/4, so I figured that was a fair bit of grunt to spin the rears? 300+rwkw? I agree mate, doesn't make sense to thrash the car/motor for a few minutes of fun?
