R33 Standard Computer - whats it look like?
Mr_G replied to BLK R33 GTST's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You can identify this by removing the kick panel on the front LHS of the car, just in front of the door edge at the bottom. Remove the panel and see if its stock/aftermarket -

When you do the clutch, get yourself a light weight fly wheel.. Spool up quicker -
Your best bet is to search car audio australia... You can find some really good buys on there for audio. I recently bought 2 rockford fosgate amps through CAA and both were bought at pretty good prices. Just find out the OHMS of each sub, and go from there... You wont go wrong with a big block 2 channel, or mono-block, however as everyone has told you, STAY AWAY FROM BOSS, it will only give you dramas. Ive had about 4 rockford fosgate amps all up, and im very happy with them... Those cerwin vegas should give you enough DOOF DOOF, as I have a home theatre Cerwin wth 150watts RMS which goes pretty hard!!!

What next, FMIC & bOOsT Control or Front+dump in one?
Mr_G replied to Mr_G's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Im ordering one made by Cypher Industries, which is the same design as CES, has anyone tried the cypher out??? Also do these gain more performance over the ones that dont have the seperate piping for the wastegate gases ? Just wanna see how my car would perform against my mates who has same cat back as me, however hes just got 3 inch piping normally done with thermo tape and hi-flow cat. Does it also sound alot beefier with the Cypher or CES split dump n front? -
Plates were black and white JAS.25T. I was the driver of z3n2k, hope too see you round again mate... Also spotted red R33 with 400R front and cooler on Menai @ Bangor round 11am

Sounds good, let me know what they say, and ill pair up with you or something.. We can have our Sau Skyline koo for fat pizza, hehe

When they replied to the email after I sent them pics, they said they were screening from Nov 04 - April 05, so im guessing anywhere in that period, they will call you up... Let us know if your going, cause ill only go if my mate goes or another SAU member goes

Awesome, once you got it all fitted up, let us know how it goes... Im looking at ordering most likely the CES one within the next 2 weeks, and probably get the Shielded box for my POD from UAS whilst im at it... -

Interesting, so looks like the FRONT+DUMP in one is the next mod to do along with my cat and CAI at the same time... Are you running the CES type Front n dump Ben or another type??? The one im actually interested in is the one made by Cypher industries located in perth which is the same design as the CES one where the turbulance is reduce because of the seperate piping for wastegate, but are they both the same at the end of the day? Or has anyone actually used the Cypher one? Cheers Jason -
Im thinking about it, ill go if at least another SAU member goes so im not too nigelated in my Skyline cause my mate still hasnt got back to me...

Beleive it or not, I sent pics of my car to that email address and they wanted to take me and my mate aboard... Here is the pic I sent. So should I or shouldnt i?

Hi Guys, Its time to start power modding. My current car (R33 GTST 95) has the following: *Standard solenoid mod grounded for 7psi below 4.5k RPM *Apexi Power intake, No CAI but coming soon *3.5 inch cat back system (Jasma) *lowered and 17x8, 17x9 wheels (235 fronts, 255 rears) Everything else on the car is stock, ie turbo, internals etc I was deciding what I should do next in modding. Would it be best to add a bigger cooler such as the generic hybrid ones and boost controller so I can safely run higher boost? Or complete the rest of my exhaust system? Each way is going to cost me at least $1,000 as im going for the CES split dump & hi-flow cat. I would be doing both mods in the end, but which would you go for first and why?

I found mine was catching on the TACO round 5000rpm and jutters all the way to 6.5-7k, then jutters back as I let off the accelerator... Pulled the dash out again and wiggled the taco needle up abit and spun it a fair few times and tried pushing down the EL dial more... Seems to have worked
-
The owner of that use to work at power play. Hes a guy I knew who went to the same college as me...
-
Definately count me in... Just PM me or put up some information about where I can make a deposit... I will require postage to Sydney.. Cheers

Hi guys, just installed mine, and works awesome!!! Here are a few little tips and tricks I did along the way: Fed most of my wires through that gap on the RHS of the instrument cluster next to the taco. Saves taking connectors off and putting them back on... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=24826 Cut the wire for the EL Speedo, fuel and temp and fed the wire through the gap on the Top LH corner where the black wire on the back sits, then soldered the connector back on. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=24827 Rule number one!!! BE PATIENT and careful when installing the EL dials over the current dials, the Speedo/fuel/temp is the hardest one to do.... I found it was best to point the needles all at around an angle of 60 degrees For wiring the power to the controller box, i tapped into my negative wire for my turbo timer... For postive, I ran it straight to the cigarette lighter. BE SURE TO TAP INTO THE SMALL CONNECTOR for positive http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...tid=24831&stc=1 I stuck my controller box next to my fuse board using double sided tape, makes things neater... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=24829 As someone else stated on here, you can select the colour you want, and then unplug the controller and leave it somewhere else. The controller is too ugly for my liking so I actually left the controller wire hanging out of the fuse board cover, sits nicely and you can plug up anytime and is sought of in a secret hideaway position... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...achmentid=24828 And the finished product: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/at...tid=24830&stc=1
