  1. i wouldn't mind some varrstoen's...
  2. Not sure about autos, so I don't really have an answer to your main question. Wouldn't be DRASTICALLY different from manuals though, I wouldn't think... much more dependant upon your right foot imo. The consensus around here is to go 2.25-2.5" for the catback though, 3" is probably bit too big. Loud as balls too. Not firsthand experience, but I'd daresay NA supra will have similar fuel efficiency to the NA skylines, 9-13L/100km or so? So average it out as 11? Haha.
  3. [AKMTSU] (or something similar to this) kitted white 34 on springvale rd, then we both turned into glenny makes me want a kit!
  4. "Ladies, you'd better be working hard - you weren't hired for your looks. Actually you were. ...Not you." /crappy american pie quote
  5. don't remember the thread date though, so maybe worth a call before driving all the way down! and if they've got an nz distributor, shouldn't be too much to vic? not sure.
  6. (Y), usually love black cars, but like Birds said, I do quite like the s2k in silver. liking the vossens also. did a quick google, found a thread where "a bit hard to find in aus. when i contact vossen in usa, they directed me to a distributor in nz. luckily i found tyrepower in hawthorn who stock vossens (and work, rays, etc). nice guys who are more like car geeks than people running a business". so where there's a will, there's a way?
  7. Sexy colour on the S2k's. Hopefully will spot it sideways around bwd hwy from now on I've only really heard good things about the s2k's - only possible downside is they do need to be rev'd to get places (but hey, half the fun? DAT REVRANGE ). Never driven one myself, or even been in one before though, unfortunately. Regardless, I love the bonnet on those things, looks like it'll be a fun ride
  8. @Spark, nice yellow 34! Is that the 'DIY Lip' I see used all round, even on the skirts?? Was wondering what they'd look like on the skirts if it really is so haha. On another note, too many GTR's in this thread... ... making me jealous!
  9. Have been seeing those rims pop up a fair bit in pics lately haha. Are they the ones all the rage in the US that cost like $10K?
  10. Awesome ! I think (recalling some posts in the spotted thread) you live around where I do, I'll keep an eye out Colour?
  11. awake lankans represent? LOLOL no class til 4 tomorrow, excellent.
  12. Never saw this problem coming or myself. Googling I have found it is possibly possible that there is a 'silicon coating' and etc. I don't even know. I see on some tint forums this problem too maybe, people suggesting 00 steel wool or something. Ahhh Ceebs, why couldn't it just be tinted 2ez xD.
  13. Dropped car off in the morning to get some tint done. Was all excite but just got a call saying due to demisters extending too much or something the tint won't stick to the rear window so it can't be tinted? . Said he hadn't seen this before . Taken pics so I can see when I go and pick her up, but yeah Anyone else encountered this before?
  14. +1 for weather, drains it indeed!
  15. Haha thanks for all that info mate, will keep it in mind! Already picked one up along with my sub/amp (well ordered, waiting for those from another store) earlier today xD. Yeah, I was looking at some perhaps lower-end (comparatively) units (basically same, just sans BT). But I figured screw it, I'll just get this one and see how I go. Although they had that joystick control, which looks better than this control (which looks a bit cheap like you said... had a play with it on the display but meh) though... Currently got a double din that was in the car from Japan, has dvd, satnav, tv etc which would be wonderful if it worked here xD. So anything's an upgrade really (goodbye fm transmitter ). You mean the antenna itself pops up? R34 so no probs there
  16. Hey mate, so I take it you recommend the DEH6450BT? I was actually about to go out and buy one . Currently $223 at jb (30% off car audio). As for the rest, sorry I don't really have recommendations as I'm in same boat as you, need to figure out some decent speakers too! (I'm going to grab a sub and amp though, already chosen ).
  17. Spotted [HERR33] on Wellington Rd around 9:15pm, flashed my highbeams as I turned off into Springvale Rd. I was black r34.
  18. I wish I was better at poker Must learn the math.
  19. Seems JB will have 30% off car audio (I think all, judging from website) starting tomorrow. I think it's time I get... everything LOL. Speakers, sub, amp, head unit, wiring. Any suggestions? Not after the best; some decent sound will be more than suffice (considering half my speakers currently don't work ). Budget probably ~$700 or so. Could go up or down if needed, I guess .
  20. indeed. felt weird returning to aus dollars! but at least it fits in my wallet now
  21. Use some yen if you want it to be more JDM, even. Plus, the notes are bigger. More surface area brahs.
  22. Nah don't think it's misfired yet (or if it has, not too badly? Or I haven't noticed in any case). But light will come on usually a bit after driving (although if I've been driving, sometimes quite soon after turning on), and then I do feel some vibrations and engine sounds a bit off? Also car is currently 96xxx... Seems about right for coilpacks bahaha.
  23. Can't edit first post; so typing this. I'm an idiot! Of course it will clear the error code; however when the same problem occurs it will return the same error code once again as nothing has been fixed -__-. Admins feel free to close LOL. Also used my mates scanner instead; got error code 21; looks like my coilpacks are on the way out indeed.
  24. Hey guys, need to run the self diagnostic on my R34, as I suspect my coilpacks are on the way out. As far as I am aware, the steps; 1. Turn ignition to ON 2. Connect the IGN and CHK terminals of the little box (e.g. with a paper clip) for 2sec 3. Check engine light (MIL?) should flash corresponding to whatever error code I have. 21 for ignition signal circuit I believe. 4. Repeat step 2 in order to "erase self-diagnostic results" My query is about the 4th step. Essentially, does this actually clear the error code? Or just stop the self-diagnostic mode, so the MIL won't just continue flashing. I.e. if I were to do the process again, would it still return the same error code as before (assuming nothing has been changed). Just wanted to know in case I "clear" it but then want to run it again to double check the error code before doing anything. Cheers for any input guys.
