  1. Cheers, Ryan The old rims are 18x8.5 with skyline offset originally bought them for the Stagea. (that's the Koya RG Tec's the gun metal grey ones...... the white Work Meisters are already sold) Rims are for sale if your keen, 1 has trailer rash and needs to be repaired/painted They have rubber on them but suggest replacing as they are 2 years old and have done 6 track days...... just using them to store the car on atm though
  2. and finally a few pic's from SMSP GP Circuit on the weekend entered the Super Sprint. had a great time, had to relearn the car, and learning the circuit was very happy with my time of 1:51. wish i had a bit more clean air but got put in the newbie group so was fighting a bit of traffic. overall was very happy with the car it ran great, have a few tyre rubbing issues to sort out. ( probably lift the rear 5-10mm and have to get the front wheels milled down 3-5mm and cut the lip off the front guards) only other concern is oil temps were about 120* full pelt but as soon as you backed off it cooled down rappidly. then when you get back to the pits the water rises from 80 up to 100* and stay's there for a while. will make a thermo fan override switch so i don't have to keep the RED's on. was talking to nulon and changed from penrite mineral oil to they're synthetic so might have to send them and email and get a sample tested and we might be able to adapt it a bit more for rotary use or change viscosity again got recommended a 15w-50 so will make sure it's suitable for the 35 degree day we just had. waiting on track/action shot's
  3. wheel alignment pic's, then had to do a bunch of grinding to make the front wheels fit LOL
  4. all buffed and ready to get front tires on saturday (18th Feb)
  5. hhhmmm over due for an update: (12th Feb) got it cleaned up and etch primed, then painted and assembly has started. also prepping new front guard's (Feed 25mm wide to fit over the new wheels) Bare metal and masked up ready to go Etch primed then painted in chaste white assembly begins
  6. well picked up the car today very happy with the job, was a pita to get the seats and cage all in that small cabin space but it worked out well. big thanks to Tully from SDR Motorsport Fabrication for doing the CAMS spec 6 point state level roll cage!!!
  7. hhmmm last update was texi......... ah well there's a lot being done atm, going backwards at this stage but hey its still getting done unfortunately it's all weight at this stage power mod's will have to wait till next year. shouldn't have even opened the can of worms with flares (wanted to get ride of the tyre scrubbing) but ah well whats done is done then it snow balled got new rims, didn't like the front so bought some guards instead. so ended up that the rear flare sat 50mm wider and was going to use spacers then decided against it and bought new rims 18x9.5 +22 (275's) and 18x10.5 +22's (315's) hoping to sell my old rims quickly!!! then i bought the feed front guards +25mm wide to make it look right. and now its getting the cage, seats and harness's installed. hoping to get it back by the weekend so i can get started on finishing it ready for the first track day in March, although I'm still waiting on front tyres heaps to be done as the entire interior is stripped, have to do some rewiring again as well. At this stage i don't know how i'm going to afford to put rego on the Stagea next month ROFL #racecarlyf

  10. February 20, 2016 – In a first for the ARDC and SMSP, we will introduce the ARDC TWILIGHT SUPERSPRINT SERIES in 2016. These events will be held on the Gardner Circuit (GP) and will go from 5.30pm until 8.30pm on a Saturday night: – JANUARY 30TH – FEBRUARY 20TH – APRIL 2ND – OCTOBER 22ND – DECEMBER 10TH ARDC Competitor Members are given preferential treatment regarding entry to the event – they are given two weeks to enter before it is opened up to other CAMS sporting car club Members. The overall numbers able to enter these events will not be nearly the same as a full day event, so it is not quite so overwhelming. These rounds, along with the three CAMS SUPERSPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP rounds held by the ARDC, also make up the club’s annual Supersprint Championship. Competitors please note: All information on this event as it comes to hand will be available on the COMPETITORS PAGE. Registered competitors will also receive all updated information for ARDC Events via email. WHAT IS A SUPERSPRINT? A supersprint is a speed event where cars are sent out onto the circuit in pairs to set their fastest single lap. The pairings are sent out at 10 second intervals, with the fastest pair at the front to minimise overtaking. It is not a race – in fact, anyone found to be “racing” is sent straight to the stewards. Cars are divided into seven “types”. – Type 1 is for standard registered road cars. – Type 2 is for modified registered road cars. – Type 3 is for touring cars and production sports cars which can be modified as per the Improved Production regulations. – Type 4 is for sports sedans. – Type 5 is for open wheelers, sports/racing cars and clubman sports cars. – Type 6 is for time attack cars. – Type SV (Special Vehicles) is for road registered kit cars, modified road registered cars and other cars running on slicks. All types have classes within them loosely based on engine size. The whole field (usually about 100 cars) is split into colour groups based on potential performance. This ensures that fast cars share the track with other fast cars, and slower with the same. A run is eight minutes on the track, and each competitor will get about five or six runs. At the end of the day, each competitor’s fastest individual lap is compared with every other driver to get an outright result and with every other driver in the class to get a class result.

  17. Thanks to all who organized, helped out etc. I had a great day, car hated it kept fouling the spark plugs (Bloody Rotor's) HAHAAA very out of touch with RWD, manual and skids!!! was still very fun, bit disappointed I didn't wreck a pair of tyres, every time I went to grab second it would either bog down or hit the boost to hard and spin me there was no inbetween a different diff ratio would probably help but no point as Texi was 1 off just for a bit of fun Unfortunately the RX7 won't come back to Texi but if I can prevent the Stagea from blowing a P/S pump I'll definitely bring that back!!! didn't get many photo's, still suck at getting a decent action photo HAHA........ its about time I do some proper research on the capabilities of my DSLR
