  1. Give them a buzz man. I buy my tyres through them, usually good prices, resally good service and nice guys to boot
  2. They seem quite reasonable, but it depends what you want I guess. He's going to show me some designs, and I'll let ya know. I'm hoping to get down there this weekend. Check the rollcage thread, Troy's cost around the same as your quote, but that's installed. Was your quote installed by them?
  3. Yeah, they look it, and Troy's happy with his. They were also very helpful in the email I sent
  4. Some big offs there boys! That's the first time I've seen the vid of yours Troy, geez you were lucky mate... I remember seeing the incar vid of yours Russ, scary stuff. Well, my car is making a bit more progress, so hopefully not too long now. I just got my new plenum, fuel rail, throttle body, injectors and FPR, as well as my rocker cover back with new fittings added to it. Also had the bay seam welded and painted. Now I just need to get my manifold sorted and we can put the last pieces back together. Can't wait to get back in the thing, it's been way too long!
  5. Nah, I'm looking to buy one at the moment. I'm probably going to go with Brown Davis here in Vic, which is who Troy had his cage made through. Just have to go and discuss plans with him and get a quote. I spoke with Bond on the phone a few months back, and I wasn't too happy with the price, considering I needed to have it put together here, and there is still some modification required. I also didn't like his attitude too much, but was just curious to see what prices you got.
  6. Steve, are you getting a Bond cage?
  7. Screamin: Love the car, and the fact that you rally it! Rally is my favourite form of motorsport, but I've never looked into it too much as I have always thought it would be massively expensive. Do you have any details of the events you do in NZ? What kind of costs are involved for a year, if you don't mind me asking? Cheers Dane
  8. Sorry Steve, should have been a bit clearer. I use RE55's, and I wouldn't want to pay for, say, RT615's just for one event when I wouldn't use them again.
  9. True Jack, but then you've just spent $1500 on an inferior tyre that's not going to be good for anything else. I thought the same thing mate, but it's not worth it. I'd rather race in open class and have my arse handed to me (I probably would in Clubman anyway ), but have some fun and not blow money on tyres I don't want.
  10. I'm looking at de-registering it too, so just want to cover myself
  11. No cat, stripped, semi slicks Nathan It'd be easy to put the trim and cat back in, but I want to run on R comps. Steve: Sounds good!
  12. Agreed! Worst case we have our own 23 year old battle... SR22 vs RB25/30's
  13. Mine is much the same mate, and is financed by a 23 year old I'll be entering open class. I'd have a zero chance of winning, but hey, it'll be fun!
  14. Awesome, thanks guys! I just spoke with RPM and the quote is very reasonable I think, so I'll go with them. Cheers Dane
  15. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone knows of some decently priced courier companies that can pick up from an address, and delover door to door? I'm looking at having a roll cage transported, so it's relatively heavy and I'd like it done as cheap as possible Any help would be much appreciated. Dane
  16. Thanks Richard, seems to be the same here. Hopefully Jap cages will be ok for this one...
  17. Thanks Nathan. From what I've seen down here, most scruitneers let them through as long as they look safe, but some confirmation when you get it would be great. Cheers
  18. I'll fight you both for it Nathan, are jap cages allowed in this event? I didn't see anything specifying they weren't in the regulations. Dane
  19. Hey Nathan, in the open class, does it have to be a fire retardant race suit, or just neck to ankle clothing? Very keen on this Cheers Dane
  20. Hey all, selling my Recaro SPG copy. Comes with universal mounts and rails as seen in the pics below. Pics attached (it's the black one). Brand new, never installed. SOLD Melb pick up, or send a courier to my door. PM or reply here Cheers Dane
  21. Doubt it man, that's SA rego.
  22. Yeah, I wouldn't think they'd let you mount it on a suction cup, but we'll find out I guess Thanks for that man. I wanna grab one while the dollar is doing so well.
