  3. well been a while since i updated basically took the covers off the rb25 to look at the internals and cams were scored, pretty bad so then decided id get a reco head, im going to be pushing 300+ kw and dont want to have shitty internals. Bought a recod 25 head, with oil feed tapped in for 25/30 build, contemplated it but yeah didnt. anyway, later on that day we took the head off completly and well.... pistons scored, piston walls not good nic either. I was pretty pissed at this stage, anyway then i was like well bottom end rebuild was on the cards, got some figures and it wasnt feesable ( just lost my job @ start of new year ) anyway, had some money still cause im an amazing saver, and i saw a built rb25 come up for sale, with tomei 264 cams, valves and what not had been done in top end. New MLS headgasket and studs and had only done 2 track days and made 300kw. went and saw it running, was mint. so i bought it. pulling the 25 block out, and new motor in background with my bolt ons and heres the 25 with my garret 3076r on a 6boost manifold. Ive now decided im going to paint the car and bay and tidy it all up, Bay will be pink and car will be black. Got alot of shit to do, but slowly getting there! pick up my new daily, sold the s13 and f**king done with sr's oh my god dont get me started. buying a r31 will pig it for a daily.
  4. Nah man the head has a small feed tapped in just below the vct solenoid port all that needs to be done is place a small bolt into the tapped hole to seal the hole.
  5. RB25 head S2: brand new reco head, new valves, valve stems seals, port job on inside of valves, new springs from crow cams and cams have been reground to mach head work all acid dipped decked. It was made for 25/30 so has oil feed tapped in, so can just plug it up for 25. $1000 firm RB25/RB20 ARP head studs brand new $200 firm RB25 cometic MLS 1.3m head gasket brand new $200 firm
  6. Havent pulled it apart yet, its still sitting there. Has scored pistons, and piston walls have wear. Not to mention i bought a reco head cause cams had groves and marks on them, and the front of the block didn't seem to have much oil, due to when i bought it serviced it and had about 500ml of oil. i figure since ive gone all out, i might aswell have a decent bottom end, id hate for it to go pop on the dyno. 300kw is enough for me, its a street/track car, anymore, not after massive figures
  7. Ive never had to get a rebuild done before, just wondering would it be better off getting aftermarket bearings, pistons, etc or just a stock 25 bottom end, or maybe just bearings? I'm getting prices tomorrow, but just after what would be the better option. Ive got a full reco head, and will be running 400+hp on e85. any info/imput would be appreciated, thanks!
  8. Does the a31 roll cage fit c33 laurel? I thought the c33 cabin was different dimensions etc cause its pillarless and a31 isnt Any help be good, dont want to buy a a31 cage and it doesnt fit Cheers
  9. been ages sold my old 17x9.5 +24 vskfs cause they were shitty shadow chrome and bought these bad boys, man sized. 18x10+16, would of hone 18x9.5 -20 but didnt want to pay 1300 + shipping lol. got guards done by a mate heaps of room and low to go. got together with the boys, as the project takes its major overhaul and yeah first night in, iain getting sexual 6boost and garrett 3076r sitting there, snapped a stud on exhuast manifold, well already was snapped prior to us but yeah now its stuck. My new daily, picked it up cheap as f**k NA sr20de auto two tone s13 its now manual, been through a clutch and box already, stupid kents selling f**ked shit. Now has a decent box and 5 puk button clutch which is amazing for an NA quick as S13 but yeah got it mint price. plan is to have all cooler piping and exhaust done by Christmas then feb have it all tuned and making 300+ KW and then bring on track days and squids!
  10. Hey SAU, I'm after opinions, do i need to do valve springs/retainers etc before my cars get to be tuned? Reason being it'll be smashing out 17 PSI all day, most days and obviously a low tune setup too. I'm thinking just hopefully the tuner is awesome and it doesn't go pop for a while, but i haven't done a compression test to see how it is anyway. So basically is it safe to go 300kw + E85 on 17psi unopened? yes i can see the sticky thread about people doing it above, i'm just after those people who have and how has it gone? Did it go bang? Did you do springs etc? Cheers guys!
  11. so this weekend, measured up how much room roughly i have to fit turbo, where piping will have to go, and all that jazz! 9 Also got my lines for my turbo setup, all braided lines, with heat wrap and genuine speedflow fittings! Since my cars been hesitating since day one, we had alook at the fuel pump in the tank and found a majority of the problem! They cut the hardline to fit a bigger pump and the rubber line wasn't meant for fuel and just had seen better days, so went down to repco got free fuel line LOL and off we went! Its semi fixed now, cant still fully hit boost but hopefully be sorted this weekend, got new plugs, O2 sensor and can also borrow another S2 ECU see how it goes, as we want it 100% fixed before the overhaul. also had to custom cut the rear to fit S2 lights, and they look baller! the pained the sections that had been cut with anti rush paint. a picture with me and my mate jack in his nearly bought streetkarnage a31 ceffiro, cleanest ceff i've ever seen and is nice to drive too.

  13. Hey I currently have 850cc sards, will these be enough due to the increased flow rate needed to run e85? Running Garrett 3076r .82 on about 15-18 psi max cheers
  14. Yeah maybe so, but i've got everything i need now, just help from mates. Once we get turbo setup on, and intake side done, Fabulous fabrication will come do me a dump pipe and all cooler piping + new system and then i'll just get ECU and tuning done should be only 3 months hopefully haha. Only doing it as it will save me over a thousand dollars instead of paying someone haha, but yeah ill miss streeting
  15. Got new seats last night! Recaro SR3 fakes, f**k genuine seats ima get defected anyway haha. Suede and comfy as hell! In 2 weeks or so roughly, car will be taken off road to under go mass overhaul, so keen!
