  1. Meet, drive lunch in ADELAIDE hills. Sunday morning
  2. Seems like a good lad, pretty handy on the tools and a pragmatic approach to car engineering for a young guy, I was somewhat surprised to find he was a drifter, I thought more of him
  3. Wanted R32 skyline (coupe) Rear bar – Silver R32 skyline (coupe) rear bar support R32 skyline tail-light surrounds (silver) These bits will allow me to make it out for SAU nationals, after overcooking it at Legend of the Lakes finals on Sunday
  4. WANTED: Skyline R32 Indicator Stalk (my high beam switch is stuck on???)
  5. Gents, Ricky represents a party, he is one of 20 regular people who showed the courage to step up. We are all from different backgrounds to achieve some balance, for example I'm a skyline owner, which in the general publics eyes puts me on the same rung as the a commodore with stockies described above, whoever that is. If there are people in the SA community that want to contribute, contact me and tell me what you have to offer. At the end of the day, we are trying to support a broad range of automotive interests along with an $11bn aftermarket industry. If not, carry on as you are. . .
  6. For too long, Motoring Enthusiasts have not had a voice, legislation is brought in without any consultation with our community, and our rights are slowly being eroded. Well no more… We can no longer sit back and hope everything is going to be okay. We need to take control of our future, and we need to do it now. There is a movement that has been happening across Australia over the past seven months, spreading the word for the need to unite… to come together so we can present a strong, united front with Government. Forming our own political party was the next step… It is about unity… It is about coming together and sharing our knowledge, resources and experience. It is about putting aside our differences, and appreciating each others passion. It is about sending a strong message to Government that our Community must be respected and considered.
  7. group voting ticket shares preferences amongst other likeminded lifestyle parties, key is to preference other small parties to maximise chance of staying in the game. Major parties are a fair way down the list to prevent giving either a clear lead in the senate. Greens funnily enough are down the bottom. I’m assuming everyone understands that this is for the Senate, not the house of representatives.
  8. Wow, what a great idea - cruise to multiple polling locations Do as you will, just remember vote 1 Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party in the senate, very rare chance to have a voice.
  9. Election day cruise Attention Motoring Enthusiasts, who is keen for a morning cruise/breakfast or lunch on election day? Be proud of your ride, catch up with mates and demonstrate the unity between motoring enthusiasts on Election day. Catch up with a few mates on election day and head to your local polling booth in convoy, cast your vote and enjoy the rest of your day... Who is keen?
  10. C'mon people, there is little time until election day, show your support - this is all about supporting those with modified cars. Anyone here? The party are looking for enthusiastic people who can distribute how to vote cards on election day - TIME IS RUNNING OUT
  11. Who is interested in joining a sa chapter of Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party? Looking holding a meeting in next couple of weeks to establish a committee. Whilst the federal election is nigh, there is still plenty to be done beyond the 7th Express your interest via website http://www.australianmotoringenthusiastparty.org.au/get_involved and we will update everyone as soon details are firmed up. Keep an eye on the Facebook page for updates https://www.facebook.com/AustralianMotoringEnthusiastParty
  12. Anyone here nominated for targa Adelaide this year? Seems they are trying to make it more accessible with "rookie rally" in addition to the traditional tour and regularity packages. Hope the first night at the show grounds is a big as last year, that was awesome
  13. Ive had the plain silver 32 GTR, was parked up with the scooby doo club near the toilets most of the weekend Love how steep it is, holds the gears for ages (highlighting my lack of grunt) Great event, just dont have the balls f steel that some ppl do Well done to Jenkies, first time out also... that car has the grunt to contend with the big boys based on first split tiems and speed, just need aome avons and a couple more sighting runs
  14. Had a great first outing at first mt alma run, amazed at how steep it is! Anyone know what happened to the black 35? Seems like it put a leg out of bed, a bit fragile?
  15. I think they're all the same
  16. After some 2nd hand rear rotors for my r32 gtr. Any condition, just less cracked than mine, just to see me through mt alma
  17. My fuel pump stopped on me, shortened the day. Noticed fairly high attrition rate in the day licence group too
  18. National rally is still a weetbix licence anyway, I just paid up and did the online quiz in about 15 minutes. Cams ppl were very helpful
  19. As everyone says, keep an eye on your pads, if they're low then source something spares locally. Running old stock stuff ya probably won't put that much load on the car anyway, which OS good, just don't be suprised if your pedal goes to the floor In the medium term I wouldn't get too precious about your rotors, you'll soon be throwing them in the bin. I still run sporty street crap and they crack after a few good session. Works out economical for me to replace every 4 track days when the pads are low, they're cheaper than pads! As for pads, I've been using pmu club racers and love them. (if ya run out of pads I've usually carry old spares anyway) Motul fluid seems to be a popular choice, been using the 660, but running 600 now as it's easier to source when ya need it. Ps: garages used to be $30 payable to the dude on the pushbike.
  20. As others have said, give everything a once over, make sure you've got enough brakes, etc. I wouldn't stress too much about dodger last minute mods like an oil cooler, cos if you spring a leak your day will be over. Just drive to your car. Ya won't be putting too much stress on things running street rubber and pads. You need wrist to ankle coverage like most events, helmet of course Mallala run practice days are usually self scruitineered, so you just sign to say it's all ok. I usually rock up by 9, complete documentation (plus a briefing for first timers). Then unload ( I simply empty my boot) then check everything is cool and stand around talking shit till your session starts. Run at your own pace. You will be in the day licence group which will have a mixed bag of cars and experience, so keep an eye out for the other cars, can be very unpredictable. Each session is 15 minutes and you will be out every hour. After a couple of sessions you will get used to what the others are like and get into a groove. Be ready to uncover issues you found before such as boost leaks and brake fade. Most importantly have fun ! Will probably see you around
