This is more a community for JDM rather than a community for skylines specifically (as far as I've seen). I'm very keen on the JZX80/90 but I like the people here, so I stay here. As far as what you should do.. Go for whatever your heart desires. I'd personally jump straight into the turbo man S13, but that's me.
