  1. I highly doubt it there are spots, but you can call up the kart club and ask.. 500 seems steep, but could be right, a race meet a fair amount of stuff goes on, i was told tyres would last about 5 or so practise sessions, there about 200 bucks a set i think.. and a pratise day at cameron park is under 100 i think... still think it would end up being the cheapest competitive circuit style racing you could do?... those rally hatches are converted to 4wd though im pretty sure?... like focus, puegot citron etc.. and got heaps better enigine in them..
  2. Nah havent had cash to play with, got an accepted offer on a house too so wont be for awhile i would say. But i put my name down for the come and try day and got the call a few weeks ago saying i was in, put my name down like 5 months ago ha, but they only run them every 3 months from memory, so i will get a taste before investing in the future
  3. I will find out if i like go karts next weekend on the come and try day, you should come with jarrad, and find out what there actually about instead of being so against them..
  4. broken relay in the fuel pump wiring, but was an alarm relay not a factory one, good to know my factory wiring isnt failing ha.
  5. My car is now going so im in..
  6. just take the tiida, or the bike ha
  7. ^Yea i would probably be keen mate, need to get the car going first... could maybe do some group shots?
  8. yea i dont know of many in the area. i grew up there, but only rarely take mine up there, mainly for servicing at my brothers work ha.
  9. had another look at my issue this morning, and it appears that im not getting power to the relay or the fuel pump. has anyone had these issues before? from research and looking at wiring diagrams etc it appears the fuel pump control module could be broken. may have to look at hard wiring the pump direct to the battery to fix this? does anyone know an easy way to test if that is 100% the problem, or would be the fact that the pump isnt getting power proof? here is the wiring diagram i found for reference.
  10. Working onit either this arvo or on sunday, first going to pull the pump out and check power etc.. will look to get a pump next weekend and install on sat or something, so if your free the extra help would be great!
  11. Looks good, better get the car sorted by then!
  12. Yea your right, but i was more talking about a too larger rolling dia for scrubbing with a wide tyre etc... i had to sacrifice a little rolling dia to fit 295s, worth it imo.. not sure if anyone has tried 285/30 on 19s?.. if they fit that would obviously be the pick.
  13. i had the same dramas deciding tyres on my 19s.. i went with nitto NT05 275/30s.. i had on before that 275/35 and they rubbed.. i believe 285 30 would probably still rub, but i could be wrong there, as the rolling dia is to large i believe... i now have 18s and run 295 30 with no issues.
  14. Thanks mate, i will look into doing this on the weekend and go from there. Cheers,
  15. can anyone please confirm the blue relay on the left in the pic is the fuel pump relay? tested this yesterday and was getting abit over 11 volts.
  16. Hey mate, Anything else i should check after doing the above test? what should i check if it is? or if its not etc? thanks
  17. ah yea that can happen with light colour cars where the paint on the metal and plastic bits is slightly different.
  18. Awesome shots there, martins ones turned out fantastic!
  19. yea ok, sounds good will give that a go whilst im there tomorrow. greatly appreciated and will post results, cheers!
  20. thanks for the tip mate, was wondering where they are. im pretty hopeless when it comes to fixing things but will give that a shot tomorrow. just under the internal boot side wall carpet? or further?
  21. bringing up an old thread, went to start the car this morning and it cranked fine but wouldnt kick in... after abit of investifating we believe its probably the fuel pump as i was not getting any sound prior to cranking (power not getting to the pump??) checked kick panel, front and rear fuse boxes, all looked good. tried unconnecting the battery and restarting with no luck.. i have a haltech platnium pro plug in that and i will take the laptop down tomorrow and try and see if anything pops up on the logging, and maybe rebooting the ecu (not sure if disconnecting the battery would do this anyways?)... anyone have any ideas or tips, advice to solve the issues that seem very similar to the above. any help will be greatly apppreciated. Cheers, Anthony
  22. wish i could have made this...
