I've opened the box and threw it away just to realize that I needed older style Splitfire packs to match my loom clip. This is for R33 series 2 GTR and up. 2. Tks gents! Yes I have to get the DiS-001's not about to blow up a Djetro APEXi!
  3. i bought S2's for sure.. i checked the part # so now they will not work.. as I have S1.. classic!!
  4. Hi Gents, so figured out that i have R33 S1 coilpacks and loom and ended up buying splitfires S2 coilpacks which dont fit. Question that I have now is if I get S2 loom will that work with R33 GTR S1 igniter? I heard someplace that S2 has igniters built into coilpacks? Or, should i simply repin my S1 loom and modify plugs slightly to fit on these S2 splitfires? Will that even work?? Please help!!!!! car is down and can get it started without this!
  5. Or maybe I have Series 1 loom?? And series 2 coil packs is what i bought??
  6. Thank you mark!! So it appears I'm running r32 coils and igniter on my r33 motor, darn Japan junkyards!! Since I don't have any OEM r33 gtr coil packs, are IB, + G factory markings?? Hence Splitfire using the same marks on their product? Thank you again!
  7. Hi gents, here is the prob.. Bought new r33 gtr coil packs for my motor which is about ready to fire but came to find plug doesn't fit on harness. Closer look reveals I may running r32 loom, coils and igniter. I threw splitfire box but don't remember seeing the Pinout! I can make plugs fit by shaving the coilpack receiving end just a bit but will need to repin plugs on my loom. On my packs from left to right, - + signal On splitfire, IB, G + Can't afford to fry $600 worth of plugs. Please HELP!!! Tks to all in advance
  8. I guess I wouldn't need, them there is nothing legal about this car so eliminating them I have no objections. However, I was curious what is the most common method here being used? Do most people just splice one O2 into the other allowing them to use just one sensor? I just bought a splitter harness for Apexi D-Jetro which plugs into maps it seems all plug and play no additional questions there :-)
  9. Hello, Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I'm about to finish the single turbo conversion on my R33 GTR motor, but not sure what to do with the two O2 sensors? When going single do you splice all wires into one sensor? Also what about MAF's? I picked up a PFC D-Jetro, and previous owner used two MAP's? I still need to pick up a MAP harness from Apexi but i'm curious does the harness plug into MAF wiring or gets spliced at another location? Many tks!
  10. I'm gonna give it a shot on mine, everything is changed except pistons and rods (new headgasket, arp headstuds, bearings, rings, etc. etc..).. tune/fuel/oil/cooling will be spot on so we shall see.. i'm aiming for 500whp max.. I had sr20's running 350whp daily with zero problems.. I dont see why this bad boy wouldn't hold more..
  11. Normal fuel, however at race track likely race gas.. so i'll tune the car for both.
  12. Tks to all for their feedback, its greatly appreciated! Where can i obtain this Kando Dynamics 10cm rear housing? Just out of curiosity, what turbo would you guys suggest to make 550whp but have a potential of 600whp+ on an R33 RB26 with best response? haha, if there is such a thing! I'm sure you have to give up something, either power or lag.. Tks gents!
  13. thanks! thats some major power! i guess i'm gonna try it with .63 for sure.. as response with 82 sucks.. full boost isnt there till after 4500++
  14. he is running 11.1 c.r. on e85 pretty insane.. (S54 motor) but at 10psi his gtx3582r with .82 rear made some 630whp.. insane.. response is stupid to say at least.. S54 also revs to 8k just like the GTR of course downside on GTR is half liter displacement less and all that compression.. Of course i'll have to push more boost to get to 500whp which is fine but mainly curious if I can achieve 500whp on that .63.. looking at his set up once that S54 motor is built this season it should make 750whp like nothing! (keep in mind motor is bone stock, never been opened) so debate remains, do i buy that .82 housing or stick to .63 (looking at his and mine specs) no way I can achieve the same results, hence the reason i'm leaning towards smaller housing..
  15. I still have an option to buy a .82 housing.. its only 300 bucks.. and will save at least 600+ on the dyno!! I'm just wondering how laggy it will be with .82 in comparison to .63.. i will settle with less power for more response.. again its in a small light rwd application so I want it to be fun to drive.. obviously my friend is making tons of power due to larger displacement and high C.R. and response is insane.. i'm sure me running the exact turbo .82 with half liter less and nearly 2.5 points of C.R. less will not feel anywhere near his set up.. Tks mates!
  16. turbo is already on order since I have a .63 housing for free sitting around thought id give it a shot... with smaller exhaust housing wouldnt it only help spool that turbo a bit quicker in comparison to .82? my aim is 500whp.. thats it.. bottom had been rebuilt but stock pistons and rods are there.. everything else was redone.. including the head.. even when googled this topic, I couldn't find any GTR guys running this turbo.. I got a very good deal on the unit so I couldn't pass it up.. a good friend of mine is running this turbo on his S54 (3.2L) high c.r. making 600whp on an .82 at 10lbs! I'll share the results once this baby gets on the dyno
  17. Wanted to get some feedback.. R33 GTR motor, freshly built, stock compression, tomei cams, sprockets, coilpacks, + all standard bolt on performance goodies, will run a GTX3582R with .63 housing.. any power ideas on power I can expect to see? I also have an .82 housing i will turn the car on as well so i can switch to it if I like it better.. however the idea is less boost lag.. keep in mind this motor is in an s13 chassis which weights some 2800lbs. tks!
  18. As the title says, I have up for sale an Apexi Power FC for R32/R33 L-Jetro (MAFS) with hand controller in excellent working condition. Already tuned for basic performance upgrades on stock twins with stock MAF's!! $675, I will also ship FREE !!! Please email me at [email protected] with interest.
