  1. I got a crash i my old man's car. was going in the right lane and wanted to overtake to the left one (remember we drive opposite to you guys) looked in my rear view mirror and side mirror...no one was there, as i started to overtake a Range Rover came out of a U-turn (i was only 200 meters before teh u-turn when i started to overtake). so here i am in the middle of 2 lanes with a pickup on my right, a Range that's almost 1/3 of my left lane, and just enough space to squeaze between the 2. So i give it full throttle, but too late, BANG the Rover went right into my rear right wheel and the car was drifting towards a light pole!!!! Anyway as soon as i heard bang i knew he hit my car, so i stepped on the brake as hard as i could and held the steering wheel like a monster.......end result.. car is over the pavement and 60cm away from the light pole. all this happend at a speed of 70 km/h only!!! yet it felt like at 0.000001km/h . everything was going in slow motion. I came out unharmed, the rear wheel was cracked and air was coming outta the tire, after changing the tire we found the suspension was bent too. who was wrong? well i did NOT use my turn signal when i overtook, neither did i honk the horn to stop the guy from driving into me (i never used it) but to my surprise the policeman said that the guy in the Range was wrong! I think the fact that he was on the phone didnt help him avoid me..... car went to the insurance, they did a shitty job of repairing it, recevied it like they changed all the suspension parts, but after I drove the car for 500Meters the camber was like that of a drifts car, it still is till today (they want about u$2000 to fic it properly) and at 80kp/h feels like driving on a sword....real scary. not been driving a lot since then, really hate to drive in the city. i still feel bad about it till today, like I am the one who was wrong. rant.........
  2. It was very easy knowing its a toyota from the door handles, its the mid nineties style handle. I though it was a 1995 Camry with european specs, kinda like those that were sold in singapore. And for the guy who thought it had chrysler headlight, i think the disortion would let you think that they are from 2 different cars, thought the same here too.
  3. funkymonkey: you can always use one of those to take the dents outta your car  seriously , my freind uses it to take a big dent at the rear. it looks ok for a few hours or so, but then goes back to normal. and Evo_Lee: you'r better off with a EVO, the older ones.
  4. Evo_Lee: i haven't seen any auction sites with the 1-10 system, almost all use the 1-5. and its not my fault Acer puts the "A" so close to the "S", hence the new name "suction" weired thing is that i could not edit the topic???
  5. The Real Car Simulator R Nissan Edition.zip used this edonkey/emule link, hope thats not illegal to post here. tell us if it good (dosent look so thought) there is another game all about skylines for the PS1 its called "Skyline Memorial" which is based on the need for speed by electronic arts, you may want to dig that too.
  6. Thanks a lot Rezz, excatly what i was looking for. but how come you got all that info from a 2 min google search, i kept looking there for some time but all the time i got the car auction sites with no information like that? :headspin: Arigato.
  7. hi all, I'd like to ask about the auction rating system in Japan, a lot of the time it is said that the car is 4.0 or 3.5 . what do those figure mean and what are they looking for when stating that. also what are those H13, S55.....etc rating, they seem to have something to do with the cars age , but i couldnt find any logic to it. sorry for asking here, but babelfish and the others are banned by my isp, no way to figure out what is written there for the time being.
  8. Starlet Gt, most are around U$1300. some are auto , pretty fast too
  9. I have to warn you, the monkys guys seem to have a few cars from king-buyer on them, even the pics are taked directly from them and just look at the price difference here http://www.kaizousha.com/index3.php?p=5 or http://www.king-buyer.co.jp/index3.php?p=3 and http://monkys.jp/e/ucar/1996R33_02.htm the difference is about half a million yen...for a gtst?!?
  10. i found the engine belts on my car were labeled "mitsubOshi" ...any relation. its 25 years old BTW
  11. Once you convert the steering wheel position of a car it never feels the same. nuff said
  12. So that means i'll have to take my jacket with me when I go to Osaka, thanks for the warning Rezz. BTW 100% humidity is nothing...hehe
  13. is it me or is the current one looking better??? hell even the F355 looked better . .. ... ..... ....... ......... ............ ................ ..................... Ferrari are sure going downhill!!
  14. Forgot to say this but the only turbo that seems to be popular around here is the Trust T-88 (they call it greddy here...how pitiful) reason is most cars that come already modified (japan or thailand) have this turbo. and its cheap (for the power) and not very difficult to repair . i dont think its a very good turbo given the spool up time necessary. i think a single 3037s will suit your application, but then again i could be wrong. remember if you take care of your turbo it will last a long time, regardless of what everyone say. (unless you get that t51z<<
  15. JiMiH: man you wouldnt want to live here, its too hot these days and the heat kills turbo engines......Skylines included. OMRAN: nice ride you have there, i think i saw it for sale a while ago for 100k DHS, looks great . anyway i dont care what turbo you are trying to use, but make sure that the engine is well cooled before you start anything, trust me those big turbos get HOT. I've heard of people busting RB26's only because of the heat issue. too bad about that RHD law though, i was hoping that i'd get something RHD soon, but it seems like my dreams have evaporated. is this applicable for all the emirates? even UAQ. man i'd really like to get something good outta japan. Any idea why the law's been calcelled? sorry too many questions. in the meantime enjoy your ride.
  16. The stuff by MOVE (the super Eurobeat you'r talking about) seems the second best thing out of japan i've ever heard, I think they're really good and i was a fan even before i ever heard of initial d . The BEST music is definelty anything SUPER ROBOTS related; ie: Mazinger z's Ichiro Mizuki, Grendizer's Isao Sasaki and even the new generation like Hironobu kageyama (well know for his songs in Shin Getter robo). also i like some of JAM's music , but not all. only the ones that dont have the two girls in them (dont like them and dont know their names). any more super robot fans here????
  17. Yeah it looks a bit ricy, also has the Honda badge and with the steering wheel on the left, leaves me confused..... good try, seen better at kappa119, an almost stock looking NSX that had all the panels replaced with Carbon Fibre, now thats something to drool on....
  18. WALD kits are the best, not ricy, just good looking check them out
  19. Its a long process but it depends really on who does it. we have a iraqi guy who is really experienced with toyota crowns and can convet a pre 1995 one in 3 days with his buddies (5 in total) most of the people who do RHD to LHD (opposite to you guys) complete it in 2 weeks, unless if the car has very complicated electronicd (celcsior for example) its very risky, specially for beginner mechanics, but i wouldnt doubt the work of an expereinced mechanic. best way to convert is by getting a half cut of the car you want and remove all the stuff (fire wall, loom, steering rack...etc) and weld them to your RHD car. other than that they will need to cut 2 circular holes in the firewall, and swap them over from right to left, the steering rack is cut and welded too, and the loom extended to the other side. there are companies that do LHD to RHD conversions for ford mustangs and explorers in Australia. also most mechanics would never touch an exotic to convert (viper, ferrari, lambo...etc) just way too risky to screw up. we had a guy who conveted a Mark II to LHD, and the steering wasnt welded properly, result: he found that he couldnt steer the car at 80KM/h and ended meeting a new ligh pole...... a lesson to be learned.
  20. It looks more and more of a toy, give my my EVO IV NOW!
  21. If i remember correctly they were a direct fit, but the smoked ones look so nice, why change them. I know i'd change the V35 4door rear lights though for the ones from the 2 door though.
  22. I think he is changing too slow, maybe he's used to drive a manual Bluebird sylphy
  23. guys from the UAE having fun in qatar??? hehe , thanks god i'm not sitting with them in the car. the real pros drive on the drivers side on 2 wheels, crazy shit. waiting for your sand rail tires eh, well all cars look stupid with them on, leave 'em for the dune buggy (are they still big in the us?)
  24. the 2 wheel driving pictures definetly are not in dubai, and quite possible not in the uae. most people who drive on 2 wheels are from Qatar and Saudi. the link you posted is for an annual event at one of the highest hill climbs in the world (as they put it) its government sponsored btw.
  25. thats the reason a lot of the dogboxes here get wasted i dont think any GT-R's can get to the 8 sec yet, there is a Z that made it to the 9 sec, but i didnt see any faster. One of the problem is that the tarmac at the drag strip is you average road tarmac, the cars lose a lot of time in the 60ft . also it is usually very dusty there, you can actually see the dust coming of the track as the cars move on, hehe.
