  3. Hi mate, Where in Sydney are you located? Cheers.
  4. Thanks mate. In regards to a jap rego sticker, just a thought - if you found a high resolution image of one online, a sticker shop may be able to print it for you. Hope this helps.
  5. Hi All, Not sure what its called, but im looking for a replacement of the hose / pipe I have circled in the below picture to suit an RB26DETT. Must be in excellent condition. Will pick up if in Sydney or will pay for postage if interstate. If you have one, please shoot me a PM with your phone number and asking price - we'll go from there. Cheers.
  6. Hey mate, was actually just thinking this is something you may be able to help with. Thanks heaps in advance.
  7. Thanks mate, thats what was confusing me. I thought it was the actual flywheel that was causing the rattle (as i dont believe its dual mass). Appreciate your help and response once again.
  8. Hello, Whats your budget? I may have a kenwood one. Cheers.
  9. No longer required, purchased a brand new one direct from Nissan. Cheers.
  10. Hi Everyone, Previous owner decided to remove all of the factory stickers from my GTR. This morning, I bent over and purchased brand new genuine rear quarter window 'security' and 'UV cut' stickers direct from Nissan. I was hoping that someone that has the sticker set on their R34 GTR, could do the weird and wonderful job of measuring for me - exactly how far across and how far up the stickers go on the rear quarter windows. (Or if you have a picture too - would be of assistance). Rediculous, I know. I am probably one of the most anal people you will ever meet, and i'll be the first to admit it too. Cheers in advance for your assistance.
  11. Thanks mate, makes sense. See they were talking about replacing the actual clutch and reusing the existing flywheel. Interesting stuff. Really appreciate the response.
  12. Hi All, Have seen another mechanic about the rattle. I have been advised that a replacement Exedy heavy duty clutch will stop the rattles and the existing flywheel in there can be reused. But as the car most likely has a replacement flywheel in it - and the dual mass has been removed, i've heard its the actual flywheel that normally causes the rattle? However other mechanics have advised that the current clutch in there can be kept and its the flywheel that needs to be replaced? Or is it the case that both need to be replaced? Bit confused. I know its hard to tell without ripping it apart to confirm whats inside, but any suggestions are appreciated. Trying to get my head around all this, so cheers for the patience and wisdom in advance.
  13. Thanks mate. Yes it happens without pushing any of the pedals. Have taken it to 2 mechanics and 1 gearbox specialist. They all said it seems like normal noise for a 34 GTR with a bad ass heavy clutch in it, however its not normally this pronounced. I was a bit worried intially thinking it may have been a larger issue with the gear box, wanted to get it sorted as ive only had the car for a week, only driven around 100km in it and its under warranty. Have also done some research - found same info as below on various websites. Thanks everyone for your help, will post results with what I decide to do.
  14. Im getting a rattling with my Nismo clutch in R34 GTR on idle, its quite pronounced. Goes away when you put your foot in the clutch. I think you can just hear it more though because my car still has the stock exhaust.
  15. Thanks mate, still got to get you those pictures. (She's locked up at my other house, havent had the chance to get any good ones yet). Thanks for the insight, im not sure about the flywheel being interchangable either - will need to see.
  16. Last bump, still looking.
  17. Hi everyone, I have recently purchased a R34 GTR. I've been advised the car has had a Nismo clutch recently installed. Been doing some research, i have found online that when the nismo clutch was installed - the dual mass flywheel would have been removed, hence why on idle there is a random rattle coming from the gearbox. As expected, the rattle does go away when you press your foot down on the clutch. The car is completely stock, down to the original air box and exhaust. I will not be tracking the car and intend on leaving it in original condition (famous last words, i know). I am looking for advice on how to remove the rattle. I am thinking about getting a standard dual mass flywheel refitted (i have a mate which has one with < 10,000KM in his work shop). Dont know if this is a good idea, as i've also heard that getrags on idle are just noisy in general - even with the dual mass flywheel? Is this true? And would it be the same noise, as mine is quite pronounced. My car is pretty quiet aswell, having the original exhaust - hence why you can hear everything. Cheers.
  18. Hi mate, thanks for the reply. I've taken another picture of my centre column to compare it to one without the extra nav unit above it. The facia on the air con unit is slightly smaller than one without the nav unit, main question is whether the whole air con unit has to be changed for a new one, or whether there is another genuine nissan plastic facia which snaps on to the front of the air con unit to make it the same as the bigger one (as all the controls - etc look the same). Cheers. Mine - Without the nav unit -
