  1. roy is right there is some sort of x-ray they use it doesn't matter how smooth you grind it will come up with marks to show it may or may not of been grinded and if they think it's sus they impound your car and if they have to rip out your engine to get a better look they will and that's in SA
  2. well there you go that's the difference i just never bothered to look it up lol
  3. 8cm on the 20
  4. go td06-20g and you would be up around the 250-270kw mark with stock internals and pretty much full boost by 4K but i think theres a tdo6L2-20g which is suppose to be a bit more responsive don't know how much by though
  5. surely you did something now??
  6. c'mon everyone knows BOV's don't get women naked, screw the bov go block it off and run a metal intake pipe and go tu tu tu... doseing gets chics naked lol
  7. yeah it's the bov i did that to mine for little while before i put on the ssqv did all the exact same things but the car does eventually adjust to it. mine did and stopped stalling
  8. it all fits fine use the 34 front, the three bolt flange to dump is the same for 20 and 25
  9. well if your going to forge and headwork and all that you may as well go RB24 only a little extra machining hehe and go GT3071 and go better
  10. looks awesome glad it's finally coming together for you any estimated power figures??
  11. if your gonna track it have you thought about sump?? baffles, doors etc
  12. also check your crank i did a bearing in my 20 and kept driving cause i had to get home and was in the middle of no where to expensive for a tow especially at 11pm and when i pulled it apart it had spat little pieces of bearing everywhere and had a 20thou bend in the crank check out spool imports website this is a rebuild kit for a 20....personally i wouldn't bother forging a 20 there generally good for around 280kw standard internals just do what you said stick a set of bearings and pump in it TD06 and a good tune and it will be plenty reliable providing you treat it well This Rebuild Kit includes the following quality parts: SPOOL Forged H Beam Conrods CP or Ross Forged Pistons (Rings, Pins and Locks Included) Cometic MLS Head Gasket ACL Race Series Main Bearings - STD & 0.25mm ACL Race Series Big End Bearings - STD & 0.25mm With Ross Pistons - $1990 With CP Pistons - $2090

  23. i'll only be assembling the engine myself all the head work and machining will be done by professionals some of dad's old mates from when he drag raced and i've got a couple of heads and yeah was gonna try with both and see what happens and how much of a difference it makes..
