  1. Having said that a large majority of the stuff we filmed (about 90 percent) wasnt illegal and we still got hassled. Go figure Red17
  2. Myself and a few friends have been using industrial area's to film stuff for a fair while now, weve got the technique down pat. If you wanna go out and do a drift/burnout session, go with 1 or 2 cars max. Take yourself and 1 passenger (to film or help push if something goes wrong). Spend as little time as possible in one area, any more than 5 minutes and your pushing your luck. We learnt the hard way lads, security told us to move on, we told em to get f.ucked. Within 5 minutes we had 6 units onto us including a justice of the peace. Instantly we stashed cameras a plenty in the bush and wandered around innocently. Long and short of it was 4 yellow stickers, 6 cars searched and a bunch of guys trying to do the right thing with an even bigger reason to hate cops. Never mind we got em back slightly by putting footage of a cop car swooping across 3 lanes without indicating and nearly killing a young girl in an echo. The first Driftworks video was relatively carnage free, one broken radius rod in over 3 months of filming. The next one will be commencing soon with more crazy s.hit and less docco style. Just dont do that stuff in groups, its asking for trouble. Red17 Driftworks Ideas Man
  3. Great night at the drags last night. 14.6 second pass in the GTSt and zero compression on cylinder 6.... oh make that an expensive night. Look out at speedworks tomorrow for a grey 32 gtst with the driver mumbling something about "****ing nissan tractor motors". Further condition reports to come Red17
  4. Ever since i bought my GTSt ive wondered about my injectors. To me they just dont look standard (dont ask me how this can be, it just doesnt look right). Anyway, can a couple of you fellow R32 GTSt owners tell me: 1. Are you injectors RED in colour? 2. Are they stamped with "2Z 04" on the visible side as well as "Made in Japan" written on it? If someone could spare the time to go look, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thanks Red17
  5. Insurance is interesting. Silvia's and 180SX's are on the blacklist at the moment because A: theres so many of them and B: alot of the owners are in their first turbo rwd and tend to drift into things easily. Now ive stated that, ill explain my case. I had a Pulsar SSS, which i managed to crash twice. My insurance went from 600 a year to 1100 in 18 months. Since then it had dropped for about 800... but with those two accidents still on my record. I phoned up for insurance on the 32 thinking id be getting reamed for it and was pleasantly surprised when the guy said "1200 dollars". Because A: theres very few R32's around B: they cant be high risk if they havent had anyone crash many before and C: they didnt know what the hell it was... guy kept telling me it was a 2.5 litre. "Errr we dont have a market value or anything on a 2 litre turbo skyline, do they even exsist?" So lesson is. If your gonna buy an import, buy something nobody else has. Insurance is cheaper.... even with my dodgy record Guy told me that if i wanted a Silvia id be up for $2200! Anyway, this was QBE.... they dont do imports unless you already have business with them. 6. GOT BOOST, that sounds pretty good for the mods you have. Ive got a grey R32 GTSt with 3inch from the cast dump to the tip, high flow 3 inch cat. Ive got a HKS EVC boost controller (currently not installed) and a Blitz Access computer which likes to dump fuel down the zorst resulting in satisfying faint *Booms* out the back end when you gas it up and back off. Im guessing when i get the boost controller back in and up the boost a little the Blitz will come into action a bit more. So, if you got 14 flat out of yours id be stoked just to get a mid 14 outta mine. After driving my brothers fairly well modded 180 on the weekend I was almost depressed hopping back into the 32 this morning! Just doesnt seem to get up and go the same Anyhow if you see another 32 around rocko, its probably me Red17
  7. Its the bit thats not painted on most GTR front bumpers on the R32. Its just matt black plastic and attaches as a separate section to the rest of the painted upper bumper. Somewhere in Oz sells replacement ones, but i cant find the web link Red17
  8. Turns out i didnt need it. The engineer has approved the intake and the pits cant refuse me registration for a stock standard part thats working correctly (BOV). So they had no choice but to rubber stamp it and gimme some plates. Now all i have to do is chop the ends off em to fit proper like Red17
  9. Radium, ive got the same issue right now with mine. Stock BOV venting into the intake which has a HKS pod attached. Damn thing is loud! I kept looking for one that had been placed down near the intercooler (my brothers 180SX was like this, stupid place for a BOV). Anyway, turns out the stock one is still fitted and ill just have to live with it being noisy. I just hope they dont have a go at me tomorrow when i try to register the bloody thing. Ill be back on here asking you lot for an R32 stock airbox! Red17
  10. Hi, Im pretty new to this forum and what im about to ask has probably been answered many times before. Anyway... Anyone know where you can get replacement front skirts for GTR 32 bumpers? Mines ruted to say the least. I remember seeing a company somewhere in SA i think that did it but have since lost the link. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Red17
  11. Better add another line to the list of Rockingham ones. My R32 Gun Grey GTSt, currently sporting dealer plates until tomorrow. Fresh off the boat Its a bit of a step up in power from my old Pulsar SSS, enjoying every minute of it! Red17
