26 next week Everyone should have to pay their dues in a crappy/slow car when they get their licence. I did 2 years hard time in a Daihatsu. Then 3 years minimum security in an N14 As for BoostedRB26's mums car: being a nissan, and a mums car, im guessin it starts with M, ends in A, and has ICR in the middle Red17

http://insaniac.trdpower.com/sketchys-nissans2.htm First of all, each to their own, and i dont mean to criticise other peoples cars, but this car has simply crossed the line. Take the CA18DE out for sure, but dont put an RB30E back in! It doesnt even fit, check out the bonnet mods! Excuse me while i go throw up. Red17

Ahh, timing is an unknown at the moment. I'll take it down to speedworks during the week and get it checked. Thanks for the tip. Red17

Oh that was on standard boost btw Havent dyno'ed it yet on higher boost. Red17

Its been on the dyno, 184hp at the treads. Anything youd like to know? Ive even had a full Lambda print out to determine if theres any fuel issues. Its handy having a mate who owns a Dynapack Dyno...free dyno runs! Red17

Its running Blitz Access ECU, always runs Ultimate 98 in ze tank.

Just a quick question, has anyone used or had experience with the Supra cores on a Skyline. Im referring to the 7M-GTE version with the outlets on the same side. Handy for RB20 owners with both pipes on the same side It seems to me like theyd be a pretty good size for an RB20DET, however ive heard about them being generally inefficent. I believe the measurements are about 500 x 280 x 75. In terms of scope of development of my engine, im really only looking to run 0.8-0.9 bar safely... which at the moment is proving dangerous on the stock core (already broke 2 exhaust valves due to detonation and lunching a spark plug). The future may hold an RB25DET, so im not too fussed about spending heaps on the 20. Red17

Ive spent a couple of hours looking around this site for performance parts. Its obviously all in japanese but with the use of Altavista Translation you can read it.... well sort of... heres some of the great translations ive had this morning: "Because we cannot answer concerning corresponding model as this one, model designation, corresponding model in order in regard to verification, bid, prayer, is to call is done may from the NISMO." Prayer? Pray they will send it to you? "Bu Ritz electronic type boost gage warning lamp attachment and 60 pies, white panel + peak hold" 60 pies? "It is 1993 system genuine V-spec. It is the travelling kilometer 83000km. To vehicle inspection H16.2. It is not system satisfactory and trouble spot! It executes maintenance. At the parking zone, it applies and is due to escaping, only the front bumper has exchanged one time. There are no other restorations history. It is present car verification large welcome." I wish my car could execute maintenance... i could sit on my arse while it did an oil change "The HKS EVC Pro (the electronic type boost controller) is. Atmospheric pressure revision and boost oppression and so on, it has the function plus colorful efficiency of the usual EVC. " OPRESS YOUR BOOST WITH COLORFUL EFFICENCY TODAY! Apart from the amusing translations theres some interesting stuff on there. I found a very large HKS turbine and a HKS dog box for an RX7. Red17

Car covers are great, however, i would never put one on a car thats even mildly dirty/dusty. The cover rubbing against the paint and the dirt in between causes scratches, swirl marks etc... Im not sure what the really good ones are like, but most I have experienced have this common problem. Unless youve just cleaned the car, you stand a chance of damaging your paint more than your protecting it. However for grepin's application eg: wash the car and then leave it covered for a month, it shouldnt be a problem. Red17

I bought mine because the standard one was leaking, plus it was amazingly noisy (even with recirc)... I bought a vent to atmosphere BOV and its alot quieter, and less sensitive to throttle variations too. R32 GTSt standard BOV's suck arse. Rice Value: Nil Practical Value: Heaps Red17

http://www.turboxs.com Ive got their Type H BOV on my 32 with mounting kit. Very well priced ($365 with mounting kit). Looks pretty nice, sounds good. They do a louder one than the Type H tho, might wanna check that out. Red17

Ahhh... im a season ticket holder so im there every game. Middle of the shed is where its at :uh-huh: Red17

My 32 GTSt also starts badly when cold. Can usually get it to go first try now, but sometimes 2. Ive just got mine back from having 2 exhaust valves done so its got all new plugs in it, theres NO internal issues with the motor. Still starts badly Ive been told this is a common thing with cars that have had remapped ECU's or aftermarket ones. Many have cold start features removed. Mine is a Blitz Access ECU. After doing 2 exhaust valves in cylinder 6 and ingesting an electrode, my advice to anyone out there wanting to run 1 bar with a stock intercooler is, DONT. Red17

PVA, you go to the match yesterday? What part of the ground you watch from? Red17

Im looking at installing an APEXi guage i got cheap off a friend. Its missing the sensor that normally comes with it (possibly due to it being left on a car it was previously installed in). Anyway, i want to run this guage off the standard sensor, but dont know where it is! I havent really looked for it yet, just figured someone here ought to know Also picked up a matching boost guage, all for the price of a small website job... score! Red17

Its all black. Might wanna check what model HKS you have, the opening for unit measures approx 29mm x 115mm. I think HKS made them in smaller cases after the first models. Also it might be made for a GTR as it doesnt fit as well as the standard shroud does. Red17

Im looking for 2 parts for my R32 GTSt. Firstly i currently have an aftermarket shroud over the top of my steering column that suits a HKS EVC boost controller. However i dont like where its placed and want to get a standard shroud for the top of the column. Im willing to swap if anyone fancies this HKS one (think of something resembling a letterbox sized hole in the middle of the steering wheel and your on the right track). Secondly i have a genuine GTR front bar on my car which is a 2 piece. The top section is painted while the bottom section is standard black plastic. Generally this bottom section cops most of the hits on kerbs etc.. So its pretty wrecked. I can get one from Nissan australia because they come on the aussie released GTR's. But the price is "bend over and take it up the arse" kind of territory. Surely someone custom makes just the lower section? If anyone could help with either of these, id be very grateful. Thanks Red17

Ive just bought a TurboXs Type H BOV for my R32 GTSt and i must say its a massive improvement on the stock one (which sounds simply AWFUL when recircing through the air filter, a common problem on 32's). TurboXs do mounting kits for most common imports including my 32 so install is about a 10 minute job. As far as sound goes, i wasnt looking for anything loud (the stock one is in fact noisier than the TurboXs which vents to atmosphere), its a good noise, quite loud when driven hard, very understated when you want it to be. Adjustment is made via washers placed behind the spring (agricultural to say the least but effective). Cost me $365 from Speedworks with the mounting kit ($65) so not bad value. Looks the part too. Probably the best of the locally made products. Red17

Bwahahah, try taking yours off sometime and putting a straight piece of pipe in... i'll be betting you wont wanna put the cat back on again My bro's 180SX goes like s.hit off a shiny shovel without a cat. At the end of the day even a high flow cat converter is a MASSIVE restriction on just a piece of pipe. But... it IS illegal, if your willing to put up with the risk and the additional noise associated with it, go for it..... easiest mod you'll ever make Red17

Ive been told the turbo timer illegality is about having something wired into your ignition. As far as boost controllers go, apparently they arent illegal but your not meant to have it within reach of the driver. eg: you have to stop the car to change the boost because its in the glove box or something. As for cat converters, its highly illegal not to have one, and the fine can be as high as 10k. Doesnt seem to stop alot of people because the sheer difference it makes not having one is incredible. The R32 to R33 debate can rage on all it likes. At the end of the day we ALL want to own R34's It just comes down to preference of styling in my opinion. Many R32 gtst owners are willing to put up with slightly less performance from the RB20 simply to have a skyline that they like the look of, and is less common. Of course then you can put an RB25/6 into it, and have the best of both worlds. Radium, finally got my car back after 6 weeks at speedworks! (remember i broke it after doing 14.6 at the plex?) I completely f.ucked 1 exhaust valve and mildly f.ucked the other. But shes pullin like a train again! Red17

Im with Western QBE who will only do imports if you have current business with them. Ideal thing to do is ring up and get some contents insurance for your house or sumthin. Then call up 2 weeks later saying you want a policy for your Skyline. Bingo, done. I had my old Pulsar with them anyway and their ruling is you must have "2 concurrent policies running at the same time". However ive been told that you can cancel the other policy immediately if you wish and you will still be offered a renewal next year. Insurance is a highly competitive market, they never like losing business. I pay 1300 a year with a very bad record on my name, ive had 2 accidents (1 major) and been charged with Driving without Due Care. Next year it drops to 900 which is even more reasonable. However they have NO idea what an R32 GTST is... they dont even have a market value or any info in the system for the 2 litre turbo model. Guy tried to tell me it didnt exsist! Red17
