noise

Hi guys, I am having issues at high revs 4-5grand +, with my car spluttering and poping and losing power. We dont think its the timing or the knock sensors after running a diagnostic computer. A few people have said it could be the coil packs, how do i check the them? It would cost a lot to replace them and if there isnt a problem with them that could be a real waste of money. also another person mentioned the air flow meter.. sound like it could be the problem? *tear* cheers

I went and bought front splits, amp and sub. So I rang and organised an install and they basically have said there is no point going to the effort of fitting the 6" x 9"'s as the stock 4-5 inches will be fine in the back and the splits will be the main speakers. I have spoken to a few other people and they agree that in a coupe you don’t want 6" x 9"'s as well. So I have these 3 month old TS-D690R 6" x 9"' for sale, I paid $220 for both two days ago and will sell them for the same price. You really need to use common sense when dealing with things of value and cash online! You wouldn’t buy a $2000 watch of some guy on the street or you wouldn’t buy anything off a eBay seller with no feedback, so why would you buy something of a substantial value from some random person on a forum? You can’t do random deals with strangers involving large sums of money... You will get ripped off half the time... What’s the point? There are so many safe ways to do business, like buying local or buying from a reputable dealer or store. Good luck anyway mate

You dont need permits for a lot of mods these days. The best pits is whelshpool.

for my exhaust system I have settled on ordering the cat and dump from sydney and will get the muffler custom made or will find something local or internerstate possibly... not sure on that yet. I need something soon. It cant be to loud, but it has to sound a bit meaty. about a 3-4 inch outlet and inlet that can connect to my high flow cat. local in perth would be a bonus but will to ship if it doesnt take long. any suggestions?

we went out on friday night i think it was driving around with the computer plugged in, and of course it didnt do the thing we were trying to test for. again tonight I drove it and it didnt do it at all, yet it did it today. I have a feeling its not doing it in the much colder winter night air. any ideas? will have to take it for another spin during the day with the computer... just hard to find the time.

Are there any problems aligning wheels with a skyline that has hicas? Or Just like any other car?

Hey guys, when my 2k GTT came in off the boat it was not firing on 4th cyl, so i replaced the plugs with some iridiums which seemed to fix any problems. Sometimes but not very often when I hit 5 grand in second gear, maybe other times too, it seems to lose power. It kind of feels like its not getting enough fuel to the engine or something. Someone has suggested fuel pump an other the air flow sensor? any ideas?

lol I know the feeling, part of my house got broken into last weekend and some things of considerable worth taken. I have alarm which wasnt on and I have a safe which wasnt installed. But I can tell you I now use the safe and alarm

Yeah I might just ring around and get quotes from local shops for the full job. Might end up paying a little more but atleast it will be done quicklly and all at once.

gtt looks better and will feel newer gtr will go faster with less mods
