  1. You realise that the worst thing the person can do is own up to buying the engine? If they do then the cops will give it back to you and the person who bought it will never ever ever get their money back. lol stuff that
  2. I think a black GTT with no wing would look dope. I love the no wing look, but i think you need a good bodykit.
  3. not sure what type of red ..but i like it ..cant wait for it to actually arrive in australia.... sigh @ importing
  4. EBay has the highest rate of fraud out of all internet sites.
  5. It is called a post office, they have staff that answer questions like this
  6. was the shipping on the car pre paid? I dont see how you can get a car on a ship months before I can from the same port unless it has shipping already booked before you bought it.
  7. Check out this thread has some information about not using an australian broker and saving $1k http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...97&page=1&pp=25
  8. I have had a good experience using geoff and a bad one. Now that I have a little experience importing I would not use a broker again, simply a waste of money. Are you not insulted at how much money guys like him make for doing not very much at all?
  9. p.s. I haven’t named my broker because I have imported two cars through them and the first was fairly painless, It’s only the second one pissing me off. So I am giving them a break and not publicly dissing them
  10. Man I wish I started this thread before I imported my second skyline and not after being to far through it The truth is I never thought about what the broker actually did until I had problems and guess what he couldnt do anything because .. he doesnt actually do anything except make a pretty website. I guess if i ever import again I will know how to save $1k+.
  11. www.carsales.com.au worked well for me... cheap to
  12. check out this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=62997
  13. You can source cars by joining auction mailing lists, that as far as i know have nothing to do with Australian brokers. What else is a broker going to do for you apart from give you a standard procedure email?
  14. I think we have to all realise that the Australian broker does absolutely nothing important in the import process apart from make a phone call asking the Japan buyer to buy a car. The Japan buyer is the one doing everything, and when the car gets here it’s YOU, not the broker who does all the ground work to get your car on the road. Someone mentioned that it’s good to have someone local to blame? The thing is blaming the broker does nothing because he can’t do anything anyway. I have just found this out recently The broker will just blame other people while he spends your fee on a new ivory backscratcher lols That said I can imagine the task of doing it yourself to be a little daunting first go. If I ever import a third car myself, I will avoid using a broker for sure. How hard can it be?
  15. was the shipping on the car pre paid? as in did it have a spot already before you bought it? and do you live in perth?
  16. Why do we all use brokers to import cars? Is it really that hard to do it all yourself? I am currently using a broker for the second time and am totally pissed at how little they really do for you for the amount they get. Has anyone done the whole process themselves? Any info or stories?
  17. On further thought I only paid FOB not shipping costs.. my mistake. It still doesnt change how I feel about waiting this long with no idea on shipping time 3 months later.
  18. Has anyone in perth bought a car from japan a similar time to me and got it on a ship already?
  19. I confirmed my 97 gts-t on the 30th of October and paid for it shortly. I have just been advised that the car won’t be on the ship leaving at the end of January, so the soonest it can leave is the end of February. That is four full months my car is sitting out in the open getting trashed by the elements. Has anyone else had to wait this long? I am looking at 6 months from payment to driving it. I am really pissed I wasn’t given the option of my own container for a little more shipping. This is a quote from the email I was given before I made payment.. "Your vehicle will be shipped by car carrying ship from Nagoya to Fremantle on the next available vessel. Shipping space is currently very limited, and the Nagoya wharf actually closed all last week as they were full, with no space available for second-hand cars on the current vessel to Fremantle. Nov departure is likely for a Dec arrival, although please be aware that it is possible that shipping could be delayed with an arrival in early January. The supplier will book your vehicle for shipping as soon as possible; the rest will depend on available space." I don’t see anywhere where it says march arrival????? What a ****ing joke!
  20. it doesnt really matter what broker you use... the supplier in japan is the guy who matters.
  21. apparently my car got the last spot the supplier had on the january ship... I bought the car at the end of October.. its not even 100% confirmed in the spot it got... seriously what a F***ing joke!

    Magz

Hey guys, Does anyone know a site where I can browse pictures of cars (r33) with different mag wheels? I need to buy some for my car coming in. It is really hard to tell if they look good unless you see them on a similar car. Also whats a good place to get them from if i live in perth?
