I just bought these

Well not a lot has happened recently. Due to getting rear ended back in december and injuring my back. Bad enough for me to have lost my job for being off work for so long. I was finally cleared to work on my own car as therapy, so started doing bits and pieces whilst trying to not hurt my back. Eventually as of saturday just gone I got the engine together and ready to test fire. Primed the fuel pump, and this is where it went to shit haha. Literally as soon as I started to prime the pump luke started yelling at me to turn it off. That's when I noticed my top feed fuel rail has decided that fuel is better off on the outside. So with that in mind Alan, Luke and myself just tidied up the engine bay a bit, put the bonnet back on and other little bits. Currently I just need a longer throttle cable and a battery and then technically the engine bay is done. I will be ordering a GKTECH fan as soon as I'm back at work, as well as the GKTECH abs removal kit. I decided to swap my pair of recaro reclinable seats and rails for a velo gp90 and cash my way. with some random mounts and brackets. I severely regret this decision. But I did want to go to a pair of fixed backs anyway. It doesn't fit very well with the mounts I was given with it, so I'm going to have to make something up myself it seems. This is how it currently looks.

ah ok cool, yeah i thought they were a bit cheap for genuine haha. i've been thinking about going down this path for a while, as im sure the 25 afm is gonna hit its limit pretty much as soon as it gets tuned....

Hmm. Are they genuine nissan? Is there an order delay or do you have them in stock?

Im not fussed about street hassles. Ive not driven it on the street in nearly a year.

exactly why i want a fixed back. the sr3 recaros i have are amazing seats for street use. but even on a spirited hills run you could feel them allowing you to slide around a bit. im sure once i have the harnesses in itll be not as bad.

i would but this is basically gonna be driven on the street maybe a couple times a year, and after spending this year in the passenger seat of my mates 180 track car. i really want a pair of sparco seats. i still found that on the track with the recaros i was having to brace myself on the centre console/door. admittedly I haven't installed my harness yet, but I figure someone else might as well put the road legal recaros to good use.

so im thinking about selling my recaro seats and upgrading to fixed backs. either velo or sparco. anyone keen on some recaros on genuine bride rails? $800 or swaps

id also like to know what throttle cable people are using in ceffy/laurel with rb25 and greddy plenums...

im only running stock arms at the moment, thats probably got a fair bit to do with it id imagine. haha its not actually hitting the inner well at the moment. i havent got tyres fitted to the XXRs yet. we just mounted one of them to see what i was likely to hit, will be getting tyres fitted in the new year. at the moment im not even allowed to touch a car because of the bloody crash.

I have a recon rb25det head for sale. valves have been reseated, valve stem seals replaced. its been faced and crack tested. comes with factory cams, and all cam caps and retainers. only selling because I bought it before I pulled my old 25 apart assuming it was just a stuffed head, then I found a recon long block and bought that also. so now I just have this head taking up space. its been sitting wrapped in plastic since it was recon. asking $500 ono I payed $600 for it a couple months ago. just want it gone. pm or text me on 0420907228 can get pics is need be, but everything is wrapped in plastic.

.... havent got lock stops on my arms. currently hits the castor rod and the inner well at the back. haha. and arms are binding.\ turns out the knuckles ive bought are freakin insane also, they actually run reverse ackerman by the looks of it.. and are extremely quick. should be interesting. i predict a shit load of spins happening. haha

yeah i did. turns out i shouldnt own r31s. have written three off in not at fault accidents. a mate came round yesturday and test fitted my modded knuckles for me. gonna have to spend a bit of money gettin everythin to clear now. hits everywhere haha.

oh and they actually rocked up yesturday. unfortunately its gonna be a while before i can get them fitted up as i was in a car accident on saturday just gone and my daily driver was written off. so all my spare money i had aside for the laurel has gone to buy a new daily. not happy. but hopefully the insurance company of the guy that hit me wont take to long to pay me.

Why wouldn't I? I like them, they were the sizes I wanted, I could get a matched set of 6 and most importantly its my car....

so i found a set of modded knuckles for sale... and couldnt say no to them $250 for s14 knuckles. lock increase and ackerman adjusted. also ordered my wheels tonight. and according to the website ill have them in 5 days! from the usa!

haha yeah ive already bashed it up. destroyed a few tires before i saw it there.

interesting... any clearance issues on the inside? and exactly how far out the gaurds are the rears. oh and whats your camber settings front and rear?

ah true. i have a trawl through import monster every few weeks but haven't seen them on there. only ones for c35 and a32 ceffy. what are the specs on them vskf's btw?
