LHD conversions - who does them
dairyboy replied to KamikazeR33's topic in General Automotive Discussion
In NSW, cars that are over 30 years old are exempt from being modded LHD to RHD but anything else will needed to be RHD.. -

Would you be able to tell me the name of the company? PM me thanks as it might be against the rules to mention things like that in public. There's this common occurance of dodgy middleman and off the back of my head there's 2 of them in Melbourne.. -

Tips against Cars being stolen?
dairyboy replied to Viscount's topic in General Automotive Discussion
They _do_ study your moves for a couple of days before they will do anything. They aren't gonna take a chance are they? If you've got some form of tracking and can remote disable the car, possibly buy a small phone and turn it off then hide it in your socks or something? That way, give the car to the ***ers, call Quiktrak or whoever your tracker is and let the cops deal with it. -
Tips against Cars being stolen?

In regards to pulling fuse or even ECU out, people over in Hong Kong have done that before but the thieves caught up with this and they, wait for it, bring their own fuse and ECU so it becomes useless once again. One way I can think of is getting a custom ECU installation and don't tell anyone about what sorta ECU you're using. That way, the loom shouldn't be standard and they wouldn't have a clue what ECU you're using. Hide your keys well is probably a better idea and stop buying those Nismo/GTR keys - you think those thieves are dumb? Right now, I am using some cheapass key that looks like it's for my work car. In fact, all the car keys I've got at home are hidden in a safe. I know it's a bitch to get the keys out every morning but sure as hell they won't be able to get my keys no matter what! -

There's not much you can do besides a good alarm and/or tracking. Fit a kill switch and hide it well? Those wheel clamps at Autobarn? I was thinking to get one myself except...my tyres are too wide -
I nearly lost the car in 90deg corner yesterday - everything's right except I floored it too soon and too much so it started to fishtail big time..it doesn't help when all I did was flooring the clutch and the brake so it was a handful to catch it. I even forgot the semi-slicks are still cold and hard.. Maybe I've got too used to driving WRX and the GTi-R.

Pics to [email protected] thanks. -
Who ain't copies of J-Spec and Prestige? I mean, there's little differentiation between all of these mobs...same clients, same suppliers and offer the same service. It's bound to happen anyways.

R33 GTR wanders everywhere..
dairyboy replied to dairyboy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
jlnewton: just a question, when you mean "replaced nearly everything there is to replace" do you really mean every single tid bit of the suspension or just a selected few? I'm sorta looking at the Whiteline handling pack to go with my Arogosta (sp?) coilovers with the Eibach springs. -
R33 GTR wanders everywhere..

Hmm....looks like I gotta spend some money Ah well, this tramlining thing is driving me nuts particularly the roads I travel on daily are bumpy as a kid's face full of acne's! -
Howdy folks, Got the engine fiasco sorted but now it's the suspension. The ride is fine but occasionally when there's couple of bumps, it upsets the suspension a bit and it wanders left and right. It feels as if it doesn't want to hold itself still. Another problem I am having right now is I need to point towards the left in order to go straight. Is this simply an alignment issue or it's deeper than that? (afterall, the coilovers were swapped out during compliance then put it back on so alignment settings may have moved..)

Sony CLIE NR70V PDA Read more about it here: http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/sony-nr70v-review.html Basically as new and comes with everything (manuals, CD's etc.) as well as the PDA itself what I got from it when I bought it is here. Reason for sale - upgraded to the latest UX50. Asking $220 or near offer. Pioneer AVX-P7300DVD Read more about it here: http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/pna/prod...3_37628,00.html Bought it brand new and never installed. With all the cables, remote and documentations. Reason for sale - I got this as a gift but my entire system is Alpine so I'll need to go back to an Alpine AV unit to match my MD player and CD stacker. Worth $2999 at Ryda, looking at $1300 or near offer. Obviously if you're in Sydney we can meet up but if you're interstate I am fine with COD so long you can pay me a deposit just in case you won't pick it up from the post office. Only sensible offers will be entertained.

Reason for sale - upgrading to a 6230. Nokia 6100 - comes with phone itself, charger, manual, CD, handsfree (non-genuine though). Used for about a year and have a couple of small scratches. Chasing $200 or offer. Nokia 8910 - this is what I had before the 6100, bought it for 2 months then the good old 6100 arrives. It's been sitting here since I got the 6100. It's almost brand new in terms of look and functions well. Comes with charger only. $300 or offer. Nokia 8910i - this is what I am using currently. Bought it about 6 months ago and does have some scratches but nothing major and it's mainly on the back where it can't be seen normally. Comes with charger and the phone itself only. Asking $450. PM me with offers thanks I'm in Sydney, will either meet up or COD it to you at your expense. Photos available on request.

maybe a rich kid that don't give a *** about money? look at the red P..

But it's been running like a dog even with the Z32 AFM... Sounds like there's not much I can do besides running the ECU diagnostic mode and see what error it reads.

Ok... Parts needed - plugs, battery and possiby O2 sensor and inlet gasket Need to look at - plugs, inlet gasket and O2 sensor Anything else to that list? Troubleshooting this mofo makes me pull all my hair out
-
Another problem just come to mind - been reading the ECu resetting threads and it seems like my ECU should be reset already. My car battery doesn't hold any charge whatsoever and is usually left there for 2 or more days. Do I still need to short certain wires of the wiring loom just to turn it into diagnostic mode then let it reset itself that way?
-
Ok thanks for that. What plugs did you change to? Just something cheap and will last 10k km or the Iridium/platinum ones?
