  2. Well I can tell you that gt2560R garretts are definitely laggy & not the same as the hks items from what I have been informed... I assumed that you were running hks turbos. This is where your setup differs. Marko
  3. Tommy k, This is the 1st negative feedback i've heard from crd's tuning...you need to remember that the gtrs turbo application is top end power. gtss is better for mid range. Just so you know - I have the same turbo setup on my r32 along with the typical mods i.e. pfc, cams etc. I can honestly say that crd are the most reputable gtr tuners in nsw & possibly aust - my results were amazing Marko.
  4. dont know bout these 'so called' european performance cars... FIAT stands for: Fix It Again Toniii
  5. Gtr would never crack that time - absolutely impossible! its the other way around - i.e. the bike is slower thru cnrs & under braking due to the tyre surface patch BUT a bike will make up for it on the straights
  6. no picker noser's in my car - i can imagine the nuggets u would leave behind like droppings! LOL right on the topic here of gtss's huh!?
  7. Interesting, i ran my r1 with my gtr (im on the bike, g'friend driving the gtr) - they actually accelerate identical to 1 another although as soon as i change gear i pull about 1/2 a car length on the bike... my g'friend tends to change quite slow & gentle (not being sexest here ok) so i think with me behind the gtr wheel it would be very equal with the faster gear changing this was done on the m5 in sydney here with a no. of runs varying from 80-120 all the way to 240! shhhh
  8. guys, I may need to pull out my R1 - you can't beat the power/weight ratio of a 2 wheeler Todays street 'superbikes' carry 185hp & weigh in @ 170kg!!! No modification needed unless you want to launch into orbit (my best time @ Eastern Creek 1:39 on street tyres)
  9. Nick, I did the good old bathurst run for the 1st time (via berry/penrith etc...) & i clocked up 800km in 1 day - plenty of gear changing with hill climbs etc... Hows ur car? I spoke to Jim & saw ur 33 (btw its tidy) When will it be ready for you to pick up? Marko.
  10. ive clocked almost 2000km so dyno tune will be next week with crd! there are definitely many other key factors in running a great time like pauls - my point was that u need over 400awkw to run these times
  11. Ben, I totally agree that the gtr was purpose built for the circuit BUT to crack a high 10 pass i believe u would need at least 350awkw - i remember jim @ crd telling me about one of his customers r34 gtr with 350awkw pulled a 10.8 1/4 mile. For Paul to get a 10.3 u would need 450awkw minimum Marko.
  12. Hi Ben, Do i know this guy with the GTRS setup? Marko
  13. Ben, Congrats on your result! Jim @ CRD knows his GTR tuning. My car is going in early next week for a health check before I run my previous boost (finally ran it in with 1600km) BTW - I am in for the track day, Nick (blitz) & Ben, keep me in the loop! Marko
  14. Hi Nick, The exhaust will fit an r32 gts-t although the front pipes are twin for the twin turbo setup whereas the gtst would use a single front pipe...other than that its fine mate Marko
  15. Hi guys, I am looking for an alloy radiator for my r32 gtr. Such as PWR, Greddy etc...thick core! Regards, Marko 0404 884 876 [email protected]
  16. bump - these parts are now starting to annoy me - it makes my garage look untidy! any offers? Marko (Sydney) 0404 884 876
  17. Ben, CRD recommends 1500km whereas Dart recommends 1000km i may do 1250km I hear you may be moving to Adelaide for good!? Marko
  18. ben, why aren't u speaking to jim @ dart? he recommends arias because of the ring quality (eqiuvalent of nismo rings) at the end of the day its like asking the question of holden & ford? it is personal opinion & they both have 4 wheels... marko
  19. for sure - that setup is state of the art!
  20. thats a great result, mine on that run was around 12.8psi when i was running 23psi it was just short of 800nm of torque - this running in period really sucks...
  21. Nick, Have u dropped ur car off with dart as yet? I now have 300km on the clock - another 1200km before I can boost it again for REAL power Marko.
  22. dart automotive is rebuilding it for me. nick, dart has sourced for me arp rod bolts car will be ready this fri
  23. what turbos u running on your car? jim @ crd is a great tuner, he knows his gtr's! marko
  24. Hi Paul & Stace, for the moment my car will be street driven with the vision of 'maybe' running it on race fuel (only once or twice) just to see what it is capable of...other than that it will be guzzling pump fuel!
  25. I have been advised ringland damage. It was breathing extremely heavy via the catch can. I am more than happy to build the bottom end that way I can rest easy & not worry about it when i blast it! What is the general consensus on these options considering the power I am running: - standard rods with arp bolts - forged rods - billet rods i guess if i do want to run race fuel i will need aftermarket rods, if i keep it on the street though with over 350awkw standard will be ok, thoughts???
