  1. i just ordered a set for my r32 gtr...18 x 9.5 +25offset! +15 offset will stick out too much, look like a 4x4!
  2. yes ive made the decision to go with gaitors - thanks all
  3. this sounds great, is gaiter the supplier? if so is it the same cost with the GTR emblem on the boots?
  4. here it is as per image! not sure if i should go with the GTR emblem or plain black leather...also comtemplating on black stitching or red stitching, thoughts?
  5. i think i found gaiters - is this it? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NISSAN-SKYLINE-GTS-...bayphotohosting
  6. that ebay link is dead - can u pls resend?
  7. (i have added the same post under 'general maintenance') i am looking for replacement boots for my handbrake & gear shifter - preferable leather OR if not leather then i'd be happy to change just the handbrake boot in the factory vinyl so it matches the gear shifter. where can i source this? i have searched all over the forum regards,

  9. this is an old thread but i am looking for leather replacement boots for my r32gtr (both handbrake & gear shifter) are they still available? if not can someone tell me where i can find this? thanks
  10. i am interested in this for my r32 gtr - did they come out from factory with black stitching? i want mine to look standard... also, how does it fit around the hand brake lever? i.e. does it have a velcro strap with a button like factory? regards,
  11. it is now running off the fuel regulator which seems to be fine - i know the unit next to the brake booster u are talking about, is that the stock map sensor?
  12. hi guys, what is the best place to use vacuum on an r32gtr for a boost controller, its a blitz sdbc! my previous avcr was using vacuum from my sard fuel regulator, the vacuum line that runs from the top of the regulator. regards,
  13. nice wheels - pm sent
  14. i think the answer is to replace the avcr with another controller - im looking at the hks evc6, they use a stepping motor which is supposed to be much more accurate than a generic solenoid as used on other boost controllers not keen on spending $1000 but then again it includes installation & tuning on the dyno
  15. perfect - thanks
  16. hi guys, i have had the blitz id-3 in the past which i was very happy with, now have the apexi avcr which i dont like...my mechanic recommends the 'latest' hks evc 6 because of its spinning motor actuator valve rather than the generic 'ticking' solenoid (much faster response). anyway, i am deciding between the blitz or hks...also, does the hks evc 5 use the same actuator as the evc 6? regards,
  17. the map sensor has 3 wires which are pink/grey/white. the only green wire in the avcr loom is the 1 that goes to the ecu loom which is an earth wire that splices into the black ground wire which green wire are u referring to? it might be easier if u send me your mobile number so that i can call u - this thing has got me stumped!
  18. how long did it take for the delivery from nengun? if u have the same boost controller can u pls do me a favour...unplug the wiring for the map sensor with the ignition on only (engine not running) & let me know what your boost reads on the display? mine is @ -760 (vacuum) but apparently it should be 0, if u can let me know then i can confirm whether its the map sensor or the actual unit itself. thanks, marko.
  19. i am looking for a good quality ebc - ive heard that the new hks evc is good & the blitz id-3 is also my preference. if i cannot source a 2nd hand unit any suggestion as to where i can buy a new unit would be appreciated! thanks,
  20. i unplugged the map sensor @ idle & it reads -760, does this mean that the unit is faulty or the sensor? my mechanic thinks that i need to replace the entire unit it as it should read 0 when the map sensor wiring is unplugged
  21. i have checked the pressure sensor, here are the results: 1. ignition on (engine not running): the reading fluctuates between -100 to -200 2. engine idle: shows -400 to -500 then sometimes sits on -760 (max reading) not steady at all! i then tried with the engine on idle & i unplugged the pressure sensor loom & left the vacuum line intact: sits on a max. reading of -760 i will check the 2 wires that run from the pressure sensor to make sure they are secure - it seems to me that the issue is the presssure & not the solenoid, if the wiring & vac. lines are intact where can i get a pressure sensor? i live in sydney
  22. hi guys, my Apexi AVCR is tuned for 1.35bar - over the past few weeks the controller has been good...now when the car is on idle the boost vacuum displays at a max. of -760, then sometimes it drops to approx -500 on idle. i am sure that previous to this when the car was on idle the vacuum was @ -300 to -400, is this the range where the vacuum should be at? then at other times it will go to -760 & the no's do not move at all...what could it be??? (i should mention here when it is stuck on -760 the controller will not allow the boost controller to enter '+boost' hence no power from the car regardless of revs/engine loading) my mechanic thinks that the solenoid valve is maybe faulty although it could be the boost sensor if it is not holding the correct vacuum on idle. sometimes the solenoid goes nuts on idle as well - you can hear it ticking away like it is monitoring high boost - im lost!!! any thoughts guys? whose brain can i pick...
  23. i am looking for a blitz boost controller - dual solenoid type R! if i cannot source a 2nd hand unit any suggestion as to where i can buy a new unit would be appreciated! thanks,
  24. dominic is a good mate of mine - he will look after you, you're in good hands @ autostyle!
  25. i think i'll give louie @ smithfield a call as well - ive never used his services but he sounds good. does anyone know what he charges for a full respray? i'll keep my car the same colour but if im going to paint some bits i might as well get the entire car done
