  1. ive had a black gtr & it was an absolute nightmare to keep clean BUT they look magic when clean, that above gtr is pure eeeeevil
  2. It would be a good idea to also see how much they have their ADMs insured for? I'm happy to share what my agreed value is
  3. you can't beat a clean r32 gtr steering. Very rare these days...I got a price on a clean wheel from justjap - u ready for it? $900!!!
  4. awesome photoshop skills & wow, what an improvement but that is just my opinion
  5. I agree with you. Its debut in group a racing is where it marked its Godzilla footprint
  6. A mate of minr is running enkei rpf1s on his mspec r34 gtr and IMO they look fantastic and are very well priced
  7. Here goes. The PM from Alex (no_gtr_yet) explains that my GTR was procured by Stan at Warren Von Bibra with about 15000 km on the clock, he only had it for 18 odd months getting it serviced at Warwick Motors Hobart? (I have confirmed this is correct as per my logbook) before it had to be sold due to a divorce settlement. the car was still an expensive thing at that point maybe 3 - 3.5 years into its life. The Scuderia that Ross had (same as my brothers GTR) was lightly modified and did some Targa events from memory, with inhouse sponsorship from his company Leisure Inn Hotels as well as some of the early octagon Targa circuit events. Ross together with Ralph Firman Snr. (sp?) started the Van Dieman formula car company. Alex has only ever seen one other one advertised which he has in one of his Datsuns I will never own files from a unique cars circa 1995. There was an article somewhere too but he does not know where unfortunately............ Alex is my best friend ATM
  8. Got it alex. You are a true legend and thank you for this. If anyone is interested I am happy to share it here...
  9. The pic with the 4 gtrs displays a great comparison and to me the r32 rear end looks very bubbly and aggressive and the r34 looks quite sharp and square...the r35 is a mammoth beast and I luv it.
  10. Lol that is a joke. Could buy 3 r35s for that.
  11. Let me realign my response. I would never buy one, however, my wife would be all over it like a rash. Ideal for our two kids I'd get my r35
  12. Hi Alex, All I can say is WOW! I am shocked yet delighted to hear that you know my car as well as my brothers...I will explain: When you mentioned Stan Barnes, I immediately checked my logbook. Looks like I own Warren Von Bibra's GTR. Did Stan sell this on behalf of Warrens divorce settlement? Also, do you know either of these guys personally? Second to this, you are the first person I've come across that knows & has heard of another Scuderia GTR as there were only 6 produced. My brother owns no. 001 & has owned it for about 15 years. He bought it off Paul Whitmarsh who you may have heard of (owns Australian Wharf in Sydney & actively competes in the Porsche cup). Here are some pics which I posted in the 'rare skyline register': http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/127783-rare-skyline-register/page__view__findpost__p__5747695 Regards Marko
  13. Don't remind me...the dramas I've had with the electric windows aaaaargh!!!
  14. Slopey rover it is haha It has less than 80,000km on it....uncle bought it, worked it, hardly drove it. In the 80s it was considered advanced with its electronics and features- it made my dads torana ss look like a dinosaur hehe
  15. way off topic, sorry guys...here is a pic. for me, it has sooo much sentimental value - i plan to drop a monster engine in it, not sure if i'll go twin turbo on the current setup OR a big block to shake the earth
  16. Then again, u don't really many gtrs blowing cvs or diffs
  17. Holy crap! How about the engine (2jz?)...are they strong? Someone was telling me they're forged? Much better design oil pump drive with a spline drive off the crank and not the silly collars we have...
  18. I should add that this was the previous owner so I'm not sure what the owner is like. In the scheme of things, I should have told the guy that I have an ADM as well and that the owner of CRD (Jim) commented when he first saw my car that it was the cleanest example he has seen to date. Just to put him in his place. Whilst I am bragging, when I first bought my car I picked up a part from SSS Automotive and the owner walked outside, asked me to pop the bonnet and he spent about 5min looking at the undercarriage etc, then propositioned with me if I'd sell the car and I said no. He then said he has a friend who will come down to the shop will pay 60k for it! I said thank you for the offer but its not for sale and I simply drove off.
  19. Hi bob, I would like to get granular with this list, however, will prove to be a major challenge with some people. For example, I was looking at the black ADM gtr with JUN plates at CRD a while ago and the owner was quick to make it known that nobody looks at his car. It went to the extent that one of the mechanics whispered in my ear not to look at his car and he even had a smirk on his face because it was ridiculous. I looked at the owner and just laughed at him. I do agree with you as well mate that we have double ups or even triple ups...
  20. What a good looking car...I've always rated supra's as apparently have very strong driveline and gearbox. How much power can they take before u start breaking things?
  21. This car is beautifully ugly- awesome mongey beast!
  22. Spewing I can't open the link to this supra...is there any other info or link on this monster?
  23. I do on my laptop. I'll post it tomorrow for u
  24. OK, u got me there I inherited the rover from my uncle, if u saw it u would like it...he forged the engine, lowered it and fitted 16inch rims which were colour coded to the car (in fact runs the same rims as the texaco touring car) back in 80s. Besides, i thought u liked 80s cars haha
