  1. Johnbarry88- Nah sorry mate need the cash to put a bigger turbo on. Salad- It made 180rwkw on 19psi on my G180 (1800cc SOHC) but i have since discovered my cam was an atmo grind and was harming the response and power production, to what extent i will never know now. Cant remember what results the guy i bought it from had but i am pretty sure he was from this forum. Pauly33GTS-t- I guess you are running an RB25 how much power does it make and when does it hit full boost? Fordy- was that vip-r31 or vip_r31? cheers
  2. For sale: Garrett GT30 turbocharger $1100 *SOLD* Part number: XTRGTSB005A (AKA 3037R) (rated @ 450hp by GCG) Compressor: 2.17/3.00 .7AR housing Turbine: 2.11/2.22 .63 int gate housing (RB25) This turbo is a garrett GT30 fitted with an internal gate exhaust housing from a RB25 by GCG and the internal gate has been bored out and a larger hat has been fitted for more wastegate flow by ATS in Adelaide. I have used the turbo for 1100km’s on a Gemini (G180) and the previous owner claimed 2000km’s of use on a RB30 so the turbo is still fresh and shows no signs of wear on the compressor or freeplay in the shaft. The RB25 exhaust housing makes this an easy upgrade for any RB25 or RB20 powered car and it also features a polished compressor cover. I previously had a HKS2540R on my car and this turbo is alot more responsive and only made 16rwkw less with 2 psi less boost. I am located in Adelaide but am willing to post interstate at buyers expense. PM or e-mail me if you are interested or have any further questions. Cheers *SOLD* 0408842125 or [email protected] the turbo will be sold not with the HKS actuator or water and oil lines as pictured but it will have a new garrett actuator off my new turbo.
  3. Hi peeps, just wondering if someone has either a wiring diagram for the HKS DLI CDI or used one. I would like to know if it is possible to retrofit it to my Rb30 which has a 6 coil setup/microtech, using maybe a modified Rb26 loom kit. Where does the plug in kit wire into to?, is it like a conventional CDI with power/earth/ then wired between the coils and computer output. Any help would be of help:) cheers darren
  4. jay ran on full slicks, race fuel, no exhaust, bloody good time for a manual!!, i think they are going back for 9's soon. jake went 10.3 at 136mph with one pass then blew the trans, that will be easily in the 9's in a couple of weeks aswell! I personally have no interest in race fuels,no exhaust etc, i want to know how fast my car runs how i always drive/drove it, and it makes it interesting, anyone can tune a car on race fuel, it's full proof, wind the compressor till it noses over, set timing for peak torque, walla, no balancing act. the car would easily go upper 140mph traps with those mods and well into the 9's setup I had 1 pass on fullboost, if the motor lasted it would have pissed in a better time..but shit happens:) next time:) cheers darren
  5. R31 silhoutte 60ft:1.68 10.21 at 140.89mph pump fuel, full exhaust, 25psi, footbrake(transbrake not working), et street bias plys Rb30 SOHC, 850hp gt4294, powerglide, 3500rpm stall, 3.45 diff gears.
  6. cross ply et street, i haven't much faith in the radials, as my set for the street in 17's are are joke and they wear quicker, 4 nights with just roll ons, no wheelies and they were bald, not good value at $640. The block/rods etc are all fine, sounds like i broke a ringland on one piston, still starts first go and drives, just not on all cylinders:)" cheers darren
  7. Finally got to the drags this weekend, unfortunately it didn't go all to plan, the car had a massive boost leak, first run on 19psi(with the boost controller set to 26psi) the car went 10.67 at 132.94 with a 1.77 60 ft, we coudn't fix the boost leak so turned up the boost controller to 25psi manually(so the turbo was probally pumping out around 35psi to make 25 in the motor), then the transbrake woudn't work. So i stalled it on the brake pedal, rolled out for a 1.68 60 ft and ran 10.21 at 140.9mph, all on pump fuel/ full exhaust and at least 20rwkw less than i usually drive it on the street with. Car didn't use a full slick either , just a m/t street grooved slick that i have been driving round on. So CTIFLY record has FINALLY been broken. There a lot more left in this combo, if the transbrake worked it would have gone 9 something on that pass and theres another 50rwkw left in the tune on pump fuel and 26psi still, unfortunately the stcck bottom end finally went bang..the alternator failed and the voltage dropped to 7volts, killing the fuel pumps and altering the injector pulse width....time for a decent forged motor cheers darren video -
  8. That's awesome, it would hammer hard as with 4WD, be very hard to beat on the street:) well done cheers darren
  9. http://www.ausrotary.com/viewtopic.php?t=3...water+injection http://www.aquamist.co.uk/phpBB2/index.php
  10. No, its shit, it just makes 850hpGt42 turbos flow more than 1000hp and keeps stock bottom end motors in one peice. cheers darren
  11. Totally the oposite, you car is crying out for pre-turbo water injection, add a CDI ignition, inject 15 percent water of total fuel used and watch that compressor come back to life and it shoots back from the right hand side of the compressor map back to the middle! The ULTIMATE way to build a stomping street car with mass of bottom end with strong as top end Water- holds of detonation and lower combustion pressures the most- engine lasts the longest. water/methanol- makes more power, but is easier to detonate. Methanol- has to have so much injected its not funny, look at american supras, does nothing to hold of detonation from lower combustion , all the powers made from more octane. Boost referncing is not going to stop the compressor wearing out, using the correct atomiser will you can get water atomisers- they wear compressors, or water/air atomisers, they shoudn't. cheers darren
  12. Rb30, stock rebuilt bottom end 378rwkw/510hp at the wheels for a year has 471rwkw at the wheels now for the last month aswell It's auto aswell. cheers darren
  13. 4 inch dump, 3 inch exhaust full length of the car, 1 big muffler and a little muffler at the back, i have no intention on ever using no exhaust and race fuel..its a street car, and a challenge. first pull was 460, then 1 or 2 degrees of timing 471, was there a 450? can't remember cheers darren
  14. yep what a day, worked out in the end Full boost before was at 4250rpm, think it is the same still , don't know to busy watching the road:) I can get 20+psi on just a footbrake if i want, no point though, anymore than 3200rpm and 3 psi and it digs a hole on mt drag radials
  15. AS of 3 weeks ago 471rwkw at 6700rpm on 26psi/780nm of torque PUMP FUEL, through a loose converter and powerglide boostworx dyno RB30 single cam powah!! still has casties and stock rods, ha,ha. cheers darren
