  1. 5 people have died already from police pursuits in Vic. There was a head on collision in Vic where someone coming the other way was hit head on. Why don't the police just get the number plate and pay them a visit..... rather than chasing them and putting everyone at risk when there are other cars around? Lots of motorists drive like twats...but there must be other means than chasing them when that has the potential to FURTHER endanger peoples lives.
  2. Perhaps he was a regular who got harassed by the police and was trying to avoid getting defect?
  3. He would of got home safely if the police hadn't of chased him. Poor guy... R.I.P.
  4. Where the phuck has the front end gone? Its no where to be seen? Maybe he was a regular getting harassed by police which is why he run this time and paniced. who knows.
  5. Basically I ended up in a ditch.... The radiator is pushed back, and the radiator support pushed back. Cause car is basically in a ditch so yeah. Due to the angle.
  6. Defari...the engine wouldnt start. I think I ripped out the radiator when it slid on the ground. and Stig Mick...I went to hospital at night (this happend around 11:30pm). I took photos the morning after....didn't ring cops on the night. They said I would of been charged if I did that night so glad I went to hospital. Maybe was just scare tactics though. Got my mate to drive me there and didnt call ambulance.
  7. The key was jammed in the ignition Defari, hence why I wound the windows up after the crash....I didn't exactly want to leave them open when I was going to hospital and leaving the car abandoned
  8. Yeah definately a selling factor for the car. Owning a car without an Airbag is much better (steering wheel doesn't feel as heavy or vague) and you can change over steering wheels to a Nardi without worrying about a defect. Turbo one should have a lot more power down low and be more "Streetable". Going to get the turbo one then aim for approx 300rwhp and a feature in performance imports. I am on $15 an hour and $240 a week so I am going to do my best to save up. Knowing my luck the one I import when put up on the jig will probably have destroyed chassis rails. I will make the SAU community proud. (my other car would of been featured in performance imports if I had of done turbo engine conversion and modded it up like I planned, now just going to have to wait longer).
  9. Never mind, just was told it would be the price of an S15. Looks like I'll be importing another S13 from Japan. The saying rings true....money cant buy happiness (unless of course I find another mint s13 that was minter than the one i had already, oh and turbo/manual). =)
  10. How much would all this damage cost to fix? Summoning panel beaters.
  11. I had a look but will most likely wait till something mint comes along. Going to wait for around a year....and if I cant find anything I'll move on. My best bet is for a mint non turbo auto Q's s13 to come up...although even those seem scarce now.
  12. ^^ Exactly. LOL. But the s13 silvia is the definition of a "tuner" car....basically a perfect sports car. The only problem inherent in the chassis is a non progressive build up to oversteer. And Stig Mick, mine was going to be converted to a 5 speed SR20DET. Was planning to modify it tastefully and extract 300rwhp. Sigh. In all seriousness, even though it was a freak accident....its taught me a good lesson in that things can happen when you least expect. I consider myself to be a good driver "Relative" to the experience I have, the external car that was coming up the mountain, caused me to "Alter" my habits which is why I lost it. I shouldn't of braked either and done my best without the brakes, although this most likely would of resulted in a head on collission if I didn't as the commodore had already cut the double lines Stig, I'll send you a PM naow.
  13. When I came on this forum, I never received one compliment about my S13...except from Mr.Eps. Mine came over from Japan with 58,000km's and log books in 2000. And was meticulously maintained for 10 years by female owner (middle-aged) with service records etc. I told people my car was worth something, and they laughed at me (like they laughed at you Iron Chef). It died with 143,900km's on the clock. I got it with 126,000kms. They were the best 17,900kms of my life. Driving my mum's E90 corolla now and it makes me feel sick how much body roll it has.
  14. Holy shit, just realised you have a 20b rotor under the hood.
  15. Lol =(. Time to go to the gym. Back into after 2 days off. Taking my parents commodore to the gym. Will see how this goes.
  16. Look how cute this is And the back of the 180 looks like the ultimate "Coolface". It looks like its saying yeah I know I'm cool, awww shiet.
  17. I heard someone say typical fuel consumption would be around 18L per 100kms? Thats not exactly frugal lol. To the guy who said I don't know how to drive....I'll send you a PM in confidence. It was more so the fact I had to rapidly alter my line due to the oncoming car cutting the corner and I had the front brakes lock up viciously. Immediately applied full opposite lock but seeing as I had hit the brakes whilst hitting the apex there was no chance of saving it. And Stig Mick, If I liked agressive looking cars I'd definately go for the S14 Kouki. S15 also. But I prefer modest and humble and smiley faced cars. eg S13 Silvia. (No Homo)
  18. Yeah, good point actually. In that case I'll have to wait till I can get my full licence in October so I can test drive some turbo vechiles. I've always liked the Mazda Rx-7 FD3S but the fuel consumption is apparently astronomical...so I couldn't afford to run, let alone maintain one. I like the lighter FR cars which pretty much limits me to S13 and S15 now that the rx7 has been ruled out as well as the S14 (Body looks too rounded for my liking, it reminds me of a capsule),
  19. I'm not trolling Chef, I'm using this account to try and sort out the accident and what I will do for a car for the future etc. I just googled the differences. People are saying the rear parcel shelf and boof makes the rear end of the Silvia stiffer? However this seems like BS. Other websites are saying theres no differences (aside from aesthetics obviously). I think for the moment, the best thing to I can do will just be to hop on the public transport until I get my full licence and I'll save up money in the meantime. I will definately be in contact with you to import a car Iron Chef...not now but once I talk to my mechanic to see what he thinks about the car I should buy and once I get the money. The main thing I want when buying will be everything to be straight, no accidents etc. Wouldnt care if the car had a blown engine as long as the chassis was perfectly straight and in factory condition. I'm turned off the s15 because it looks too mean and would probably feel too "new and advanced". I prefer "basic and raw" like the S13 Silvia. At the moment I have $5000 saved up. I work part time as a Cadet Quantity Surveyor 2 days a week so I'm on $240 a week which means I'll have approx $15,000 saved by October.
  20. It seems you can acquire a mint one from Japan for 10-15k. Not a bad price. What are the differences between the 180sx type x and the s13 silvia? I heard the s13 silvia has a much stiffer rear end and thats about it?
  21. I meant the chassis ...you could feel everything on the road.
  22. So basically when I crashed my car.....I destroyed a collectible classic? As bad I was already feeling...I now feel about 100 x more bad. Wow.....=(.
  23. Owned a perfect, immaculate S13 non turbo for 17 months. Crashed it last night. Was the most raw, aggressive car I've been in. I'll never forget how beautiful it was to drive. It was so modest and humble. Catching public transport from now on. Going to save up for an R32 GT-R, or S14/S15 Silvia. Unless I find another mint S13.
