  1. Never mind, my question has been answered!
  2. Lol, the commodore is as stock as a rock, it's a VZ Berlina and in immac condish. Not going to disagree though, it is an absolutely hopeless car and I'm currently trying to convince my mum to sell it. More than happy to park it away from the imports though if it brings a bad image.
  3. Am I able to stop by the texikana if I'm not participating? Reason being is I'd like to get a cams licence for an upcoming trackschool trackday on the 25th and so I can participate in skyline nats and SAU nats. Thanks
  4. Also will most likely be in a Silver VZ Commodore, as the corolla is at the panel beaters due to a dodgy windscreen install 6 yrs ago which has resulted in rust.
  5. Oh, almost forgot about this, will set a reminder on my phone to turn up.
  6. Okay, I just submitted my application for a spot in the track school trackday on july 25th. Hopefully it will go through. Will get an AASA licence on the day, will try get to wakefield around 7am to get licence etc organised.
  7. Hmm nah I don't know really know anyone with their full licence (except my parents and some mates in Sydney who are into cars).
  8. Its times like these I wish I had my full licence so I could take the S15 out so you could take some cool pics. A bit disapointed that the previous owner hasn't taken care of the paint better though. Notably There is a scratch on the front right quarter, stone chips on bonnet, scrapes on the front bumper (from not angling on driveways Im guessing), and scratches on the rear bumper from backing past a nail out of a fence (which gauged into the side of the rear bumper). It also has tree sap damage on bonnet and bootlid. Polished it and waxed it for 4 hours the other day...still lots of grime on the paint thats yet to come off. Also unbolted the plastic front wheel arch linings, and got a buildup of mud/grime out from between the front quarter and the sill. Luckily there was no rust, but got all the stuff out then hosed it out to remove all the crap.
  9. Do you need a cams licence to go to the track day or is AASA licence sufficient?
  10. Question: Am I able to get an AASA licence on the day or whatever its called? EDIT: And what time does the event start? thanks, Benji
  11. Awesome, I might come to this. What difficulty is the track? I dont want to crash into a wall and if I lost it would prefer to slide into some sand.
  12. Luckily you washed it off so quickly, egg is very corrosive and eats into the paintwork at a rapid rate. When a car looks as immaculate as yours, it will attract good (admiration) and bad attention (jealousy). I'd be hesistant to take my car anywhere near a bar/pub, especially on a saturday night in Sydney. People become animals down there once some drugs/alcohol is in their system.
  13. I thought it was pretty rare to find a Tommy Kaira in Auto which is the only reason I mentioned the transmission type. I wasn't 100% sure if the TK R34 at wakefield was the same as the TK R34 shown in photos.
  14. I think I saw that Tommy Kaira R34 at a wakefield trackday around december I believe when I went with Pat Hamilton. Looked pretty immaculate in person, I believe it was an Auto from memory though.
  15. My mum is Ukrainian, and whereas Dad is born here has french/irish/scotish background
  16. Hello, Up for sale is a Toyota MR2 with Lexus 3VZFE Conversion. I will briefly go over the pro's and con's of the vehicle. The asking price is $10,000. Engine rebuild owes over $5,000.00 and Brake setup cost over $1400.00 and coilovers $2,200.00 etc etc The car has the following positives Registration till March 2013 Rebuilt 3VZFE approximately 10,000km ago (All bearings replaced, new head-gaskets, seals, and the heads both serviced). During the re-build, the bottom end of the motor was blue printed, including pressure plate, flywheel, crank, main pulleym rods and pistons, ported and flowed heads from 150cfm to just over 300cfm, oversized pistons by .5). 315cc injectors (out of the 7MGE Supra NA Motor). Perfect power SMT6 piggy unit to control/tune the upgrades. Extra ground cables added to make the sensors more precise. Stock extractors (little performance gains if aftermarket ones are added). Stock Y pipe has been deleted, and they've been made into uneven head lengths to a collector, into a new 3 inch cat and 5zigen dual tip exhaust. 17x7.5 ENKEI rpo1 with 215/30 tyre up front and 18x8.5 ENKEI rpo1 with 245/45 tyre in the rear Upgraded brakes front - 4 piston callipers off 300zx, with lexus ls400 front discs, rear - stock gen3 callipers with Mazda rx8 rotors with braided brake lines al round and a 1 inch master cylinder making the peddle softer and the braking power a lot more stronger. KYB gymkhana coil overs which were bought brand new. Cusco front/rear strut braces. An assortment of gauges including oil temperature, water temperature, vacuum, air flow ratio and so on. Alpine type R splits, alpine head deck with a 8 inch Schneider sub all powered by an alpine amp, total stereo cost me in excess of 2500 And here are the negatives. Paint is not in the best condition as it has a faded patch above the rear window, a few scratches, and the likes, that you would normally see on a 1989 model vehicle, its not bad, but it is not show room condition either. Guards have been flared and painted over lightly as to stop rust interior has a few broken plastics, passenger window is optionally operated by the drivers side but works fine on the passenger side has no cold start, so it would involve you sitting with the car for a few minutes keeping it on idle till it was warmed up, after that shes perfectly fine doors have to be locked manually, hard to explain on here, but if you came to see the car it could be shown to you in person. Cash on pick up, or money transfer (the car will be released once money transfer clears). I encourage people to inspect the car, but a deposit of 25% of the asking price is required before letting you take it for a test drive, however I am more than happy to take you for a drive free of charge. Private message me for more details and if you would like any further information that has not been covered in this for sale ad. The car is located in Hichinbrook, NSW which is near Liverpool.
  17. I appreciated your response, but you were the only person who bothered answering, and I dont know how to check for play in the driveline. I can't find a mechanic for the S15 anyway, no one seems interested around here or seem familiar with s15's. If it was a v8 commodore etc id have no worries finding a mechanic. So yeah, not going to waste money taking it to mechanics when they will just rip me off.
  18. I already asked on silvia forums. And ffs, I trolled SAU over 1-2 years ago (in the wasteland), get over it already.
  19. Just get all the gears straight cut...problem solved = RACE CAR Not sure if thatd be a cheap fix though lol
  20. Ok cool well this is definately something I might come along to. BUT I am currently trying to become a SAU NSW Club member so I can get a Cams licence as quickly as possible....however, still havent received my club membership. Hence why I'm hesitant to pay $250 when I cant even get a licence organised yet.
  21. It is a stock clutch. Someone on silvia forums thinks it is because "the dual mass flywheel would have f**ked springs, causing the second mass to move and clunk"
  22. Okay, so basically when I change from first to second gear (like a grandma), and then let the clutch out...it makes a big thump probably 1/4 of the way up. the change to 3rd and 4th is less noticeable. CLIFFS: When i try to release the clutch (if i dont go incredibly slow) it makes a loud THUMP noise. Does this mean the clutch is slipping?
  23. Yes, I faxed my membership form off and paid electronically to become a member of SAUNSW around 1-2 weeks ago and still havent received my membership package or NSW CLUB Member slogan below my username.
