Hello everyone. Picked up a stock standard example of an S15 after looking for several months. It is 100% straight, all original panels and all original paint. There are lots of accident damaged S15's out there unfortunately so it usually takes a while to find a nice one (if you know what you're looking for). My main focus is response and handling. The tuning concept for the car is "Bakemono". The build will predominately utilise Japanese parts for authenticity. The car is being built for a purpose, that is, it will be a sleeper. There will be little focus placed on aesthetics. The car will be left looking relatively stock on the outside so I don't draw attention (attention can be good, but it can also be bad and come from the wrong people). I've got a stack of parts waiting to be installed, but here is the most recent arrival. I have some more stuff in transit from Japan at the moment and some other current inventories. Will update the thread every so often once things begin progressing.

Depends upon a variety of factors. Some of the insurance websites like NRMA allow for online quotes. I'd expect around 3-4k for a Red P-Plater with an R33 Skyline GTS25. Very expensive unfortunately. EDIT: Just read that you said 3rd party insurance, allow for 1-2k.

Some basic mechanic workshop nights would be cool. I'd like to learn things like how to change oil, brake pads, brake fluid etc. Would really help some of the young members like myself. Also, I only usually have time to do things when I'm on uni holidays (which is november till late february) because I am that busy with uni work during semester that I rarely go out. There was an SAU trackday I went to as a passenger in December 2011 which had a good turnout...but I see there won't be one this year which is quite unfortunate as I would of been more than happy to attend. Instead, I'll continue to attend those Trackschool Trackdays.

You're better off getting a set of Bridgestone Turzana tyres which will be better in the wet and are more of a grand touring tyre than the KU36's. KU36s are extremely good in the dry, and not that great in the wet.

Nice photography. Looks like some new people tagged along. Doesnt look like as many showed compared to the charlestown meet. I will have my full licence after October 27th...hopefully my car will have the suspension work and brake work done by then if any meets are arranged post Oct.27th (still waiting on the suspension parts from japan which have been at sea for 4.5 weeks now).

Do you have auction papers from Japan specifying vehicle grade etc? Interested but has this had the left front quarter panel replaced or repainted? Someone has posted the meet details to Newcastle Skylines on Facebook. This will end well..... =\. 63 more days till I get my full licence and can drive the S15. Found a Twin Canonball exhaust catback in Japan....has middle silencer etc and comes in at 91DB. Looks hella VIP style. Contemplating ordering it very soon. I think the next meet should be one to celebrate my full licence....(^^♪ ? Have too much uni work to be able to have time to go to this one unfortunately..

Wouldn't be suprised if someone has taken the swaybars off the car. Also, get under the car and have a look at the chassis rails and make sure theyre nice and straight.

Theres been some real nice R32 GTR's popping up lately. Also, a lot of highly modified examples of R32/R33's that have been properly built are floating around the market.

My build is ages away from even starting. The parts I ordered from Japan have been at Sea for 4 weeks...and the standard time is around 6-9 weeks for delivery. Also, arranged a CES Front/dump pipe pipe and hi-flow cat....but still have to organise a catback exhaust. Should get a 38RWKW gain from upgrading the exhaust system. I can get a 3 inch Reinhard Canonball Catback Exhaust for $350 (its been used)....but it doesnt have a resonator. I heard the reinhards without a resonator register something like 113DB at 5900rpm for Sr20's =|

Kujotk....no way that Silver Supra was 1250hp....it was 700hp at max and/or a poorly built dyno queen That Toxic Green Supra is a genuine 1200rwhp properly built "Cannonball" Supra which is why it looks and sounds a lot faster than that Silver one.

On battlefield 2 I used to do twirls in the air with the MEC fighter jet and bomb the US base, then when I feel like camping Id spear the plane into the ship and just before impact id evacuate and parachute down to my camping location. The plane blowing up often would take out a few US soldiers....then Id set explosives around my camping location so if anyone tried to flank me theyd get blown up..and I'd use a powerful sniper rifle for quick scopes/headshots.

The fact is, an R34 GTR has beaten a Bugatti Veyron over a mile. Doesnt matter, winning is winning. People laugh when an exotic gets destroyed...simply because exotic drivers have a reputation to live up to...where as Jap imports are the underdogs. Anyway.....take this for example, a Supra absolutely leaving the lamboghini for dead...and the Supra seems much more driveable than the Lambo. It even gives the lambo a head start...then proceeds to destroy it. Sorry but the fact is, an Adventor has nothing on a Supra like this....and lets not forget the 2jz is one of the best motors ever made. I was coming in the top 3 of every server I spawned into...(this was during BF3 Beta). Used to rank pretty highly in Battlefield 2 Demo under the username "TheGungHoMarine". Most was something like 77 headshots when I was camping out on the US ship on Gulf of Omen map and in the crane. But unfortunately, I was too much of a tightass to buy the full version of either =(. But my rig is more than capable of playing BF3 with the graphics settings etc...MAXED OUT
