  1. Don't know why everyone is so obsessed with power figures. In the end, it comes down to response as to who will win. My mate has a supercharged Integra type R....and he beat a 450RWKW Single turbo R33 GTS-T with RB26DETT from a 2nd gear roll. The r33 only started catching up when my mate was about to change gears at 8500rpm in 4th. Then they backed off as they were running out of road. Rb26detts with single turbos or putting out massive power figures have a very narrow power band. Hence why S13's lap tsukuba just as fast as most r32/r33/r34 gtr's. Watch the option video of the tsukuba lap battle.
  2. LOL Dude....looks like whoever bought your car has f**ked it up. http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/nissan-200sx-2001-12581653?base=1216&vertical=Car&cr=7&eapi=2&__N=4294739625 1246 1247 1252 1282 4294963846 4294963493 898 1216&silo=Stock&Range=Price:Min,Max~1&sort=default Strong accident damage on left rear quarter. Rear bar also looks out of alignment. Front end also looks out of alignment. Hasnotbeenfixedproperly/10
  3. anyone genuine able to help? lots of ungenuine offers so far and someone gave me the wrong phone number i think on purpose.
  4. Inspecting a nissan in liverpool on saturday...anyone a panel beater/mechanic that wants to tag along. Just want to make sure chassis rails are straight, all original panels/paint etc and all mechanically A1.
  5. I definately recommend Iron Chef. The guy is a legend....he was listing an R32 GTR Bakemono not long ago, 600ps, all original panels, no rust, basically mint condish for 29,000$ and log books etc. I would have bought it if I had the money (only had 12k or so at the time from memory. Soon after I told SAU about it, it got snapped up so not sure if the buyer ended up being off SAU. The good thing about Iron Chef is he has people in Japan who will make sure the car is exactly what you're after (he has shown me a very clean, mint, original condition 180sx he sold a customer). Whilst I dont have the money now for a twin turbo Supra...when the time comes that I have enough money saved... I will definately be buying the vechile through Iron Chef and putting his sticker on the back windshield, that is how confident I am. My mum may be in the market for an S15 soon and is thinking about putting the commodore berlina up for sale...just depends upon whether she will import a spec r silvia or buy one locally (spec S 200sx locally as she doesnt want a sunroof). But yes, if she goes the import route definately through the chef. Also, you might want to look over Japan at Garage Defend...the place is a GTR Specialist and only sells grade 4 vechiles and above.
  6. My flight arrives at 8:30am however, I assume I'd get out of the terminal at around 9am. I still have to arrange the time to inspect the car with the lady so will let you guys know when she picks up her phone.
  7. Hey guys, I'm coming from sydney to adelaide on the 21st and was wondering if anyone could give me a lift from the adelaide airport to a area called "Paradise". Ive tried calling the lady whos car i am inspecting and no answer today. Was trying to get her address etc and arrange specific time. Talked to her to yesterday to say i might be booking flight on the 21st and she seemed fine with it. Booked flight today and called her but no answer I am going to be inspecting an s13 and I will reimburse fuel money if anyone is able to give me a lift (apparently its only 15-20 min drive from airport). Let me know if anyone can help. Thanks Also, flights cost $300, if she ends up bailing out of the inspection dont know what im going to do. lol.
  8. Hey man, do you happen to live in/near Tempe? I think Ive seen this car parked outside before.
  9. I can't wait till I get my Supra so I can bring the Supra to the SAU nats.
  10. Thanks for all your help man, I am definately contemplating leaving for Japan next Summer and just seeing where the road takes me. I heard Osaka is nice. Is there any good gyms over there for bodybuilding as well? Because I'm sure me being a "personal trainer" would be great for business. I mean all id have to do is show people the motions etc and could make a lot of money seeing as i am quite muscular as it is.
  11. what doees it mean by "the 15k insurance policy was just wiped away"....does that mean he has to pay for the car?
  12. A supra looks more sleek than an r34 gtr =\. But i do agree with the non turbo point. But twin turbos are in a different league.
  13. I actually wouldn't mind cleaning the toilets if it was at an Auction house. As long as I got to walk around the auction yards while eating my chicken and brown rice on my lunch break. Also HamiltonAu suggested I be an english teacher over there....so I might go to Japan, acquire cheap s13, become english teacher, and learn to drift!
  14. What qualifications would I need to work at an auction house in Japan for a year? I don't know how to speak or write Japanese so would this be a problem? Also, would it be easy to score a job?
  15. Hi, could I please have my username changed please, I'd like the following username: LaBunta
  16. You wouldn't be interested in selling it would you? =) And good to hear Iron Chef has a good reputation around the forum.
  17. There was a grade 5 R32 gtr with only 8000kms that went through auction in Jap the other day. Grade 4.5 Silver one with 17,000kms. Both had service records. Heaps of nice ones at the dealerships in Jap too.
  18. Iron Chef....those stripes look so aesthetic. If only I had an N1 R34
  19. Oh okay, didn't realise it wasn't busy. Just looked like a main street to me. Well no, ultimately he was the one behind the wheel who lost control...but the police chasing him was the reason he was going so fast, just like the booze bus was the reason he did a U-turn. Obviously, this was due to the fact he must of had a reason to want to get away. I just think they should have tried to be a bit more stealth. I mean, he did a U-turn to avoid a booze bus....so police would of known if they put the sirens on he was going to gun it. I just feel stealth would of been more appropriate due to the fact he was "spooked" and was obviously wreckless in trying to get away.
  20. And it would also get them driving twice as fast if they did do a runner, and taking more drastic measures to get away. I just think through such a busy area...the officers in the unmarked should have been more stealth and followed him and then turned on the sirens when there wasnt busy intersections etc around. Either way, his choice to run from the police cost him his life. Quite a bigger price of pay than a defect fine or DUI. I know for a fact, that I'd much rather not being coming the other way when a speeding driver is trying to flee from a police car.
