Hey guys, i have split another hose on my rb26 after not driving the car for a week. im over the hoses splitting this is probably the 6th time its happened over the last year and a bit. Are there a better choice of hoses to look for or is the material similar with them all and i wont find much difference between hoses? Im praying its not my head gasket as when i had my 200sx it used to do the same thing and eventually opened the head and found a warped gasket. Cant afford big costs after just having another child. What hoses do most use? the hose thats split is again one of the ones sitting at the back of the motor last time i split 2 hoses in 3 different points per hose but this was during hot summers day.

i basically done everything u done above with same turbo except for the injectors and only have cat back zaust. Main mods i would have liked to have completed if funds permitted would have been injectors, dump pipe, ebc, shift kit, cams & greddy plenum. Its a good turbo by the way excellent midrange

i only just replaced my o2 sensor and only noticed a slight difference on c34 series 2, im assuming computer is relearning now but was getting rubbish before 300l sometimes less to a tank but its moving its way up to 330l and thats with me driving it lately not the wife so heavier foot lol, freeway managed 550l to a tank. This is with nistune, ss2 turbo, fmic, cat back zaust, z32 and stock the rest

look for something that has been turboed or had an engine transplant. if u up your budget by a couple of grand u will find some gems like turbocharged eb falcons, 1jz cressidas, subaru liberty with sti running gear, sss with sr20 or even a gti-r in that price range. Toyota aristo, soarers theres too many to list it all comes down to wht your after at the end, show pony with go or sleeper

i had to get the car towed back to my mechanics who figured it out within the hour. The immobiliser was wired to the fuel pump and had turned the car off randomly. They bypassed the immobiliser from the fuel pump and presto she fired back to life. All up it put quite a dent in my pocket. Now to go purchase a new alarm and immobilisers.

Hey guys, yesterday my car broke down outside of goulbourn worst in the middle of nowhere. I believe the fuel pump may have died as its not priming upon the turn of the key. Im not to sure if i have lost spark for the fuel pump but im quite sure its fuel related. Car was driving fine up the hill and on the way down i thought i lost 5th gear but no power through the rest of the gears and car came to a rest and died. Anything else they should be looking at? Now a tow charge to sydney was $780 and i took the offer for $80 and dropped into a shop in goulbourn. Now issue is these guys dont do modified cars and cant figure it out. Is anyone out at goulbourn or knows any mechanic out there that knows modified cars? Car is a r31 with rb26

thats good to hear that with minor mods fuel economy still remains pretty decent. Have u all kept the standard cooling systems in place? one thing i find is the 26 feels horrible in the heat, keeps me in cruise mode though which in return keeps me out of trouble with the boys in blue so no complaints there. Only main problem i have had has been a few split coolant hoses over the past year, apart from that a 26 is a joy to drive daily

Im just curious how many people drive a rb26 powered vehicle as a daily to and from work? What mods do u have and how much difference has it cost u in fuel? I have a rb26 powered r31 and was looking to grab a power fc, injectors and eventually n1 turbos. At the moment im getting around 350 to 400kms driving in traffic conditions and around 550km+ hwy driving. This is with a 60l fuel tank, ball bearing r34 turbos and full exhaust with 12psi. Im willing to compromise a bit but not only to get 200l from a tank lol as i do a fair bit of driving. Interested in what others are getting from there daily rb26's

Sydney. Nah the only thing electrical done to the car was get tuner to put ecu with nistune map on it and z32 afm. My original computer is now back on with the same nistune map installed and same tune, cas was also swapped as that was burnt out. Car is running really well now just picked it up and took it for a quick spin. Will look over everything shortly and make sure nothing else is loose, it has been looked over though quite a few times. Yeah computer died, tuner replaced it and car started straight away but he reckons what your saying something shorting it and it may happen again. Any ideas on what to directly check for as cpu is now not covered by warranty if this happens again

Nothing yet, had 5 different auto electricians come to my mechanic and none of them know, dont wanna know since its an import. Been to busy at work to chase this up christmas rush is killing us. Only update now is engine light wont turn on fuel tank doesnt prime so no spark at all. Gonna do a search now for stagea electric info and english version for the fuse box.
