  1. havent got any close up pics, actually they are a fair bit diff must of been the dish tricking me mine are 19 x 11"....
  2. Nice rims they look similar to mine except my spokes arent curved and are flat BTW what size are they? and width?
  3. Iv got to get myself one of those front lip spoilers
  4. When i took mine to the drags I found I did faster times with VDC off as I would get a little bit of wheel spin and then the engine would cut power if the VDC was on. With VDC off it would just keep on going despite the wheel spin "stupid open diff" I also found that using the triptronic gave quicker times as well.
  5. Well i put nulon in the v35 last service because it looked best bang 4 buck, and i supported aussie jobs.... yes yes i know owning a v35 dose the opposite
  6. once the buy is closed how long till we get the rotors?
  7. Love the dish but not a huge fan of chrome rims
  8. wow made in new zealand who would have thought they made other things than cheese and sheep products
  9. SPeaking of tyre pressure what pressure are people keeping in their 19" low profile tyres?
  10. What are u wanting for the stock 18's?
  11. Great! now all I need to know is if I can simply install a S14 MT diff centre in my V35 and all will be good with no more single spinning badness
  12. Personaly I have never financed a car yet... well I did take out a cash advance from citibank for 5 K @ 2.9% to help get my V35 but I made sure it was all paid off before the 6 month teaser rate was over and the normal rate kicked in! but otherwise funk paying +10% interest on something thats going to go down in value over time not up!
  13. So if speed is taken from the diff is that going to throw my speedo out if I put in a different ratio?
  14. Yeah i was thinking it would be easier to just change the internals like when I had a kazz centre put in my 180sx diff I had a feeling that the speedo came off one of the wheels or something so changing gearbox/diff would not change speedo reading. As for the auto computer i never thought it would have any issues with the diff ratio being changed? after all wont it be looking more @ rpm and speed and throttle position?
  15. Hi guys I normaly hang out in the V series skylines part of the site however I need to know some answers to a question which im not getting much imput from in the V section 5 speed auto V35s have a R200 open diff now after a bit of searching on the net I came across this list of cars with R200V diffs and was wondering besides the ratios are these diffs basicaly the same, as in can they be easialy swapped weather it be the whole diff or just the centre? Z33 - MT - R200 - 3.538 Z33 - MT - R200V - 3.538 Z33 - AT - R200V - 3.357 Z32TT - R230V - 3.692 Z32 - R200V - 4.083 G35 - Sedan - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Sedan - MT - R200V - 3.538 G35 - Sedan - AWD - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Coupe - MT - R200V - 3.538 G35 - Coupe - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Coupe - AT - R200V - 3.357 Q45 - G50 - R200V - 3.538 Q45 - FY33 - R200V - 3.692 R32 GTR - RB26DETT - MT - F160 - 4.111 - (Front Final Gear) R32 GTR - RB26DETT - MT - R200 (Mechanical LSD) - 4.111 S15 - MT - R200H - 3.692 S15 - AT - R200V - 3.916 S14 - KA24DE - 4.083 S14 - SR20DET - MT - R200V - 3.692 S14 - SR20DET - AT - R200V - 3.915 S13 - KA24DE - 4.083 - (Both R200 and R200V List taken from this site If they are an easy swap then a S14 MT diff would be a worthwile upgrade keeping the ratio fairly close to stock. I have been told that an auto 350z has a R200V which is a straight swap but im thinking it would be a lot easier and cost effective to get a S14 one Also incase your wondering G35 is the US version of the V35 skyline
  16. Well im no mechanic... but would love it if someone who knew about these things could come post and enlighten us but one would think that a R200 is a R200 just like a SR20 is basicaly the same SR20 weather it be a S13 14 or 15... I know that there are differences in the plenum cams and other stuff but just using that as an example
  17. well the ratio of the Z32 is 4.083 and id like to keep the rato as close to stock as possivle hence why the S14 MT ratio of 3.69 is closer to the stock ratio V35 auto ratio of 3.357. Also findind a S14 owner whos upgrading their diff centre will be a lot easier than a Z32 owner. After all when I had my S13 and I had a KAZZ 2 way put in my old diff centre went in the bin.... didnt think it was worth anything and im sure most S14 owners would think the same
  18. Taken from this site Z33 - MT - R200 - 3.538 Z33 - MT - R200V - 3.538 Z33 - AT - R200V - 3.357 Z32TT - R230V - 3.692 Z32 - R200V - 4.083 G35 - Sedan - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Sedan - MT - R200V - 3.538 G35 - Sedan - AWD - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Coupe - MT - R200V - 3.538 G35 - Coupe - AT - R200 - 3.357 G35 - Coupe - AT - R200V - 3.357 Q45 - G50 - R200V - 3.538 Q45 - FY33 - R200V - 3.692 R32 GTR - RB26DETT - MT - F160 - 4.111 - (Front Final Gear) R32 GTR - RB26DETT - MT - R200 (Mechanical LSD) - 4.111 S15 - MT - R200H - 3.692 S15 - AT - R200V - 3.916 S14 - KA24DE - 4.083 S14 - SR20DET - MT - R200V - 3.692 S14 - SR20DET - AT - R200V - 3.915 S13 - KA24DE - 4.083 - (Both R200 and R200V So im guessing that a R200V is the stock viscous "spelling" hence the V LSD so if thats the case then if I can find someone with a S14 MT whos pulling out their diff centre to fit a 1.5 or a 2 way mech centre then I should be able to swap my diff centre with theirs and have a LSD with a similar ratio to what the stock open V35 LSD is? It also looks like the 350z Z33 autos came with a LSD well according to the site this info is from and it also has the same 3.357 ratio OK now for the NOOB question will a higher ratio eg 4 give better acceleration and less top speed than a lower ratio eg 3? im thinking that the higher the ratio the less top speed but faster accel
  19. ok well 50+ views and only one responce... let me ask this, anyone know if the 350z auto has a LSD or is open ? and even better is it a straight swap if it is a LSD?
  20. Was wondering if there were any options to upgrade the stock open diff that comes in the Auto V35? I have found that on take off @ a busy intersection the back left wheel will break traction easialy and then traction controll will kick in and everythig slows down. Was thinking that a LSD would help since power would go evenaly to both rear wheels. Have also noticed this when turning right and giving it a bit of stick mid turn
  21. Yeah iv been pretty much just using BP ult or shel optimax same as I was with my 180sx. Was wondering about the E10 since the VQ35 and V35 are a lot newer than a S13 and a SR20
  22. Seriously dude on a stock V35 with nothing more than a spacer I cant see your car blowing up on a dyno, after all our cars arent turbo lot less to go wrong
  23. Best of luck getting your problem sorted dude
  24. Well i was wondering cus up here in far north qld there is a lot of stations that sell E10 95/96 petrol @ the same price as regular if not cheeper which is usualy about 20c per L cheeper than optimax or ultimate 98
