  2. worn skock absorbers perhaps.
  3. damn, 70mm ground clearance, from where abouts exactly? I got about 110mm clearance from the front bar and i thought i was low!
  4. How do the Nankang Ns-2 tyres rate compared to the terrible reviews given about the Ns-1. Are they both as bad as each other?
  5. sydneykid, i just meaured the hieght from the centre of the wheel and the guard and front and back was around 320mm. I assume this hieght is too low for good handling, but the handling is fine for road use (as you cant take on street corners as you would a track corner!) Would these camber kits be able to help with the inside tyre wear do you think? Also, excuse my dumbness concerning suspension as i dont know too much about it, but for the settings that you posted when you started the group buy you have the camber setting at 1.0degrees and 0.5 degrees. Does this mean that this kit will make a lowered car with 2.5 degrees negative camber have only 2.0degrees negative camber when using the 0.5 degrees setting? Also you said there is only one kit for the front which is that? the kit with the 0.5 degrees setting or with the 1.0degrees setting? Cheers.
  6. thanks sydneykid, i'll have to check the heights, the back should be fine there is still a little gap between the top of the tyre and the guard, so the car isn't super low. Are the camber kits still for sale under this group buy?
  7. hey i was interested in the camber kits for the front and rear of a r33. This question is directed at sydneykid as he was the one who organised this group buy and recommended the settings. for the 1.0 degree of adjustment of camber for what ride height (how much has the car been lowered) would this be suitable. My car is lowered 2inches so am wondering this would be enough adjustment to stop my inside of the tyre wear problem. Or would more be needed? Thanks.
  8. hey i want to just verify something as i have a DFA and am ready and willing to put it in my r33, however as the mechanic i go to doesn't really rate them as he sees them as 'toys'. from what i see they are a cheaper device with the same parts inside and do the same thing as the more expensive piggybacks like the safc or e-manage (the only difference being that you put them together yourself and dont look as good as a safc). However, my only concern is that if the device does fail does the ecu still have the ability to richen up the mixtures so as to avoid engine damage? Also has anyone installed and tuned a DFA and then checked the A/F ratios a few weeks later to see how well the device actually works. Thanks.
  9. ive got 18's on my car as well and i keep the tyri pressure around 34-36psi I believe you are supposed to have the lower profile tyres at a little higher psi than for example the standard tyres the car came with from factory (and my tyre placard says 32psi for standard tyres 205/55).
  10. sorry to hijack the thread but i was curious as to how much it would cost (approximately) to retrim the standard front and back seats in black leather?
  11. guys we are getting off topic here. The guy only wants around 180rwkw not 250 plus. Personally i would think you should go with the rb25 as its a newer, more technologically advanced engine.
  12. if its a fibreglass gtr bar made to fit gtsts (eg UAS front bars) then yes it fits as i have one on there. Then if you can get one for next to nothing since these things go for 500-600 bucks then why not get it. Will look better, however may be out of proportion if you dont have side skirts and rear quarter panels. Standard gtst spoiler will look the goods still.
  13. if it's a genuine gtr front bar and you can get it for next to nothing then get it and sell for a realsitic price for a genuine gtr front bar. its called arbitrage. You make an instant profit. now speaking more seriously it can be done with some little mods to bar and your reinforcement bar i believe but does involve fiddling about and even then it may not sit flush as a genuine gtr bar was not meant for a gtst.
  14. il say again i think its great except the front isnt the best for me. Im not saying it doesnt look good, just that it could be better. Its one of those things that has to grow on me, im sure it will because after all its a GTR. Also, with the front, i think when you look at the whole car the front is nice, yet when looking at just the front bumper its not as nice, whereas the rear end is just great on it own. Now i need specs dammit!!!
  15. looks very similar to the concept car nissan unveiled a couple of years ago, they just adjusted some things hear and there. We will wait and see if its true or not very soon!!! Everything looks good excpet they could of made the front looks better (although the lights are nice). The back is the best bit.
  16. nothing wrong with the supra's, they're good cars, but i do agree that rear seat room is shocking. I agree with the other guys about the price, around 27-30k.
  17. Nice one. I agree with very little mods, all that needs to be done is to make sure it is kept clean and classy!!!
  18. how much boost are you running? If its anything higher than 10psi then put it back down to 10psi and see if it still 'chokes' sounds like its the rich and retard strategy of the nissan ecu's. there are heaps of threads about it, do a search...
  19. BigDatto, you're the man, thanks
  20. Hey guys does anyone have english instructions for either the blitz dual sbc spec s or spec r that they can post me a copy or guide me in the direction of a website showing them as i cant find anything on the forums... thanks
  21. a quick, every day, easy to drive, street car (with the occasional drag run) that looks neat and tidy...
  22. that is smooth...
  23. is this cutting up (misfire) a bit jerky when it happens. If so, have you considered that it may be fuel cutting since you have upped the boost...
  24. its bad, but infortunately its only going to get worse. not only do we hope we get more rain in NSW, but soon we might be hoping it starts to rain oil as well.
