  1. The DR30 is an excellent choice for you classic Skyline purchase. You will find that a lot of the Australian delivered R30 parts are interchangeable, so the rear wiper arm and motor might be easier to find than you think. As for the front seats, when I owned my DR30, I replaced the seats with a set of R34 GTT front seats and had the front and rear retrimmed to match. They were a relatively easy fit and in one afternoon, I had modified the original R34 rails to suit the R30 floor pan. Because they are such an aged car, I had to do the same tidy up routine as you will and build a new parcel tray and re-carpet and clean up the boot area. Good luck with the new ownership and happy Skylining!
  2. No GTST and GTR/GTS4 are completely different control arms.
  3. From memory it was the same as VL Commodore.
  4. Yes they will all fit, not a cheap thing to do. To do the change, you need bonnet, headlights, front bar, bar reo, indicators and grille.
  5. I've seen an R32 GTST complete dash fitted to an S13 Silvia, along with the door trims, but thats the only one I've seen. It to the bloke over 2 months to get it all in. He had to plane down the front edge of the dashboard to match the different profile of the windscreen, then sort out all the wiring dramas!
  6. That rust is only surface, and for a 1990 model car to look that good on the underbod shows it has either been looked after or hasn't been on many salted roads. I've seen 2002 model Evo's with rust heaps worse. If you are worried about it, when it comes in, get the car a hoist and spray the whole underbody with sound deadener to protect/cover/stop the rust.
  7. Undo all the screws (there is also one behind the window switch) and then yank off.
  8. Just buy them brand new from your local Nissan dealership.
  9. Easiest thing to do is to weld a small nipple into the intercooler pipe.
  10. Its up to personal preference, but for that kind of money you can get a tidy R33 GTR.
  11. You are talking about the VIN. The engine number on a RB20 is on the passengers side, as the rear of the motor. It is on a flat stamped section, just before the sandwich plate for the gearbox.
  12. Check fluids and fuses.
  13. If the belt is slipping and you have no air con, put two and two together and it must be the AC belt slipping which is causing the drama.
  14. If it is a PI it shouldn't need to go back to stock. In saying that, the only way to bring it in would be as a PI as they are not available under SEVS.
  15. If the one that is in your dash now is already broken, just rip it all out. Then the new one you put in will slide straight in easily.
  16. Duncan is 100% right, GTR and GTIR share the same yellow injectors and part number.
  17. After owning a DR30, I would probably say the VL, as parts are hard to find for the Skyline, and they are as old as 24 years this year.
  18. Are you talking about the one which goes to the AM/FM button?
  19. I think it looks fugly, from the rear it lookslike an old EA Falcon pimped out.
  20. Do the crime - pay the time. Not much you can really do about it. Your first mistake was driving the car without a speedo!
