  1. Thanks guys . . much appreciated
  2. Thanks Cyrice. Have already checked the site but nothing comes up for the skyline. I know you can check compatitibles if you have dimensions of the existing filter, however I was hoping someone may actually know the part number.
  3. I am currently looking to get a K & N panel filter for my R33 GTR. I can't find the part number to order. If someone has previously fitted a K & N panel filter to their GTR would you please let me know the part number. Thanks.

    QLD raceway

I should be there. Changed a month or so ago from a Mini Cooper S to a R33 GTR. Date is the 29th for the Supersprints. Hope to see you there and say hello.

  6. DarkCoupe, I recently had a car checked out pre-purchase from Brisbane Turbo & Tuning at Woolloongabba. They seem to do a lot of work with skylines and were very thorough of their assessment of my car. Phoned me back with a full report and an estimate for any mechanicals so I could re-negotiate with my seller. Past experience is to get someone who knows these cars specifically (especially turbos). Good luck.
  7. kenny_lim, If you go to the ROH Wheels website rohwheels.com they have a nice diagram and explanation of offsets in their FAQ section. Hope this helps.
  8. Thanks Sydneykid. I'll check them out. What rim sizes are you using on the race cars? Do you see any prob's with these wheels & tyres fitting the R33 GTR? I thought it probably cheaper (in the long run) to get more expensive wheels due to the fact I can probably get the slicks cheap, rather than cheaper rims and expensive tyres. Was just a bit worried about sizing, especially on the front.
  9. Just after some advice as to whether the tyres used by the V8 Supercars (280/40/17's) will fit directly onto a R33 GTR without any problems. I know there are a number of threads from guys/gals who have larger than this on the rears, but will they also fit on the front with no body mods and no rubbing. I am also trying to find out who may make a 17 x 10 rim (preferably single piece), to fit these tyres - so far I haven't had much luck.....hoping someone might know. Thanks :thankyou:
  10. Hey Sydneykid, I am currently trying to find out if you can run 280/40/17's all round on a stock (no body mods) R33 GTR. From what you have said here, am I assuming this is no problem?? That being the case, does anyone know who makes a single piece 10" rim to fit these tyres? (without being toooo pricey) Comments would be appreciated
  11. Why don't you try to PM someone like Rezz (currently has a reply on the "Japenese Women" thread). Lives in Japan, no doubt he could translate.
  12. If turbo upgrades (which no doubt in the future will occur) are required, would the standard GTR intercooler be up to the task based on the resultant heat increases or would I need to increase the intercooler size or increase it's cooling capacity with something like the water injection or intercooler sprayer??
  13. Hey Meshmesh. Thanks for your comments. At this point aims are for a staged (ie: bit by bit) increase up to around 300Kw at the wheels. All reading to date seems to imply that cool air equals power, therefore start with the intercooler. In QLD quite often on track temps run high 30 degrees to early 40's, so therefor it is going to be fairly important to keep it as cool as I can. By the sounds of things, the existing cooler isn't bad (in fact quite good), but would chasing 300rwkw (taking into account the ambient temperatures on track) warrant going to a bigger cooler??
  14. I am about to take delivery of a '97 R33 GTR which is currently completely stock. I am wanting to do some work to bring horsepower up for weekend track work and have been trying to get as much info regards mods as possible before spending wads of money. Many threads mention going for "as big a FMIC as possible" in the early stages to avoid having to continually upgrade as HP increases. I am unsure at this point, but it would appear from this thread (and please correct me if I am wrong) that the standard R33 GTR intercooler is probably up to the task for most mods.
  15. Thanks heaps guys. I appreciate it.
  16. Howdy all. I am about to become an R33 GT-R owner  and at this point only have limited knowledge on the cars. I have looked at the car I want to buy - owner says it is a V Spec but it has no decal on the rear. Is there any other way to tell the car is or is not a V Spec. Thanks
