  1. Do you know if these guys do R33 GTR front lips at all?
  2. Cool, Just have to check what else is going on but I should be there. I'll be able to confirm next week. Cheers
  3. GTS32, Will you be having timing on the day or is it just track practice? Thanks
  4. Sounds Good - Count me in
  5. Jase, Glad you could make it and join in. I have a list of everyones times I can send over to you. Shoot me a pm with your email address. As you say, what a blast. I think most people ended up getting around 10 runs in for the day. Mate you ended up with a 1:02:50 on the Spint circuit. Considering you had street tyres on, thats awesome!! Look forward to next time. Cheers Peter
  6. I know its late notice for everyone, but if anyone is free tomorrow (1st June) I have a full day track day on at Queensland Raceway. Cost is approx $200-00 and is for a full day of sprints. Full lunch will be provided. Kick off is around 8:30. No need to respond to this tread - just turn up if you are keen and free for the day. If you do, just look for me in the black GTR with the side pipe. Cheers Peter
  7. Last set I had (255/40/17's) were about $500-00 per tyre. Prices are relative to the size and popularity of each tyre. Just ring them.
  8. Thomas, Give John at Brisbane Tuning and Turbo a call (33931588) for a price Excellent work. Cheers Peter
  9. No problems. If you wanted to check it out before then, I work in the Newstead area and live around Morningside. PM me if you want to organise a time. Thanks for your comments.
  10. No not yet, still running with the Accusump. To date I've never lost pressure. Until something breaks (which knock wood nothing has yet) and I have to take out the engine, I'll leave it the way it is. I must say that everyones times were pretty good for the day considering the track was still covered in dirt as an aftermath from the Krusty Demons show on Saturday. It was pretty unnerving coming into corners 1 & 2 and seeing dirt and lumps of hardened mud all over thae track. Sort of tends to tighten up the bung hole when you are coming in hard. It was great to see a number of new people out there. Great day - Thanks Paul - Look forward to the next one.
  11. As a tip, before you mount it, put a couple of large zip ties around the ends of the coupling and around the ecu. I recently had heaps of "weird intermitant" problems caused by the coupling having a slight bow in it and losing contact on the ends as it moved around on acceleration and braking. A cheap insurance to avoid mind numbing problems. Cheers
  12. DoughBoy, Would you please send pics of the interior to [email protected] Thanks Peter
  13. Paul, Payment made this morning can be transferred to this day. Put me down as a starter. Thanks
  14. DANOOH, Originally I looked everywhere. Was going to bring on ein from the States. Ended up getting it from Performance Wholesale http://www.performancewholesale.com.au/ I don't know who else stocks them, but surely others must. Cheers
  15. Paul, Paid and PM sent.
  16. Hi all, Just thought I would provide an update on the Accusump fitted to the car. Its been in for around 6 months now and have had plenty of track days since then. In that time I have not had any problems with oil pressure on or off the track. One of the side benefits of the system is that because the canister hold oil under constant pressure, and it releases its oil into the engine when it senses any oil pressure drop, you get oil pressure even before the engine starts. Turn the ignition to "on", the system senses no oil pressure so it starts releasing oil providing oil pressure for start up. For this reason I leave mine on at all times. There is a manual switch version usually used in race cars and an electric switch version (the one I am using) which can be turned on and off. Ultimately I will move to a proper race sump such as SK has advocated, but until then this has been pretty good.
  17. You already have reasonable numbers for the day on the 9th of May. Why not combine the showdown with the 9th of May run. Seems to be a little difficult to get people to two runs in one month - so move the showdown forward.
  18. Try giving Steve Calverly a call on 0411 873 055. He has his own business (mobile) and comes to you. Had him do a stereo install, alarm and blue tooth car phone to my GTR. Nice guy. Let him know Peter with the black GTR refered you. Don't know what he will charge, but its worth asking.
  19. Thanks SK, Makes perfect sense now. Thanks for everyones input.
  20. Hi SK, Thanks for your reply. I am a little bit confused (which is most of the time - especially when trying to access information for the car as I have very, very limited mechanical knowledge). The tires are wearing off the sholders on the track. I am starting to get a little faster now and I would have thought that say around 3 degrees of negative (and I take that as leaning in at the top of the wheel) would give me a more even wear and increased grip on cornering. Some have said setting the outside wheels to slightly more camber than the inside - but usually this is from other people with equally limited knowledge. I don't quite understand the positive camber aspect of your set ups. Someone told me just recently that lowering the car slightly would assist, however I find it hard getting in and out of my driveway as it is. Ideally, I am looking for a kit which I can set for the track when I get there and then set back to normal to drive home. Am I on the right track or "dreaming".
  21. I am looking for a camber kit to allow me to go to 3 degrees or more in negative camber for track sprints. Looking at the Whiteline kit, it only allows camber adjustments of 0.75 - 1 degree front and back. I believe Cusco make a fully adjustable camber kit using the wishbone style brackets, but was wondering if anyone knows of any other brands. Are there any locally manufactured camber kits or suspension specialists I should be talking to? Also, I have been told I need to replace the short rods when I go to this much camber. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks
  22. Paul, More than likely I'll be at this one - as mentioned, looks like the one on the 22nd is struggling to find numbers. If however you do get numbers - might run in both
  23. Would you take $50 for the shaded indicators?
