  1. Sounds mint even just idling! Must be getting fizzy feels in the loins realising it's so close!!!???
  2. Invite list to pool cruise- 1. @admS15 2. Aforementioned’s bishes
  3. I have to agree. If its the bishes then I'll personally arrange transportation to get you/them to the pool cruise!
  4. Ha ha, I'd love to get angry but you're 100% right! 😂
  5. I’m not sure if I’m being harsh but I just don’t feel the Skyline family are rocking the bods that are welcome in my pool! 😂 Maybe we could organise a Skyline cruise and swim meet! Would certainly be different to your standard cruise that’s for sure!
  6. Right, second last pool build post I promise! The last post will be the final result and then you'll never hear of it EVER again. Except everytime anyone asks why I haven't bought a sequential for the GT-R yet... So I FINALLY got to a point where I was able to hand over to someone else being the concreter. I did all of the inner boxing for the pour which is actually Styrofoam believe it or not. In my mind it doesn't seem strong enough to hold back a few hundred kgs of concrete pressing against it but I'm sure they know what they're doing! The reason for the inner boxing is it's a cantilever/seamless pool edging, so no tiles, just one pour of concrete for bond beam and the pool surrounds. To me it's the best looking option. Will hopefully look something like this- I'm going with a white concrete so hopefully it looks VERY much like that! It was a massive job to fit all the inner boxing system as there are 3 components to it, particularly around the steps and corners. I've gone with a bit of a funky drainage system which is basically just a pipe buried under the concrete that I'll cut an expansion joint over the top of the pipes I've laid and then plunge into them every couple of metres to allow the water to drain through the expansion joints and into the pipes that all drain back into my storm water system I've plumbed it back to- She's all boxed up and ready for concrete pour on Tuesday which is pretty exciting! Once the concrete is hardened enough I've then got to grind it to expose the aggregate. That will be MASSIVE job that I'm a moron for taking on... It was going to be another $10K on top of the concrete to do it so I thought "I can do that!". Should hopefully be able to smash it out myself for less than $5K and that includes buying the concrete grinder and the various diamond grinding shoes. Will cost me $15000 if I still have to pay someone $10K to fix it after I realise I can't!!! In other somewhat car related news I ended up buying the Unimig welder I was eyeballing. Same as this- I sold both my other welders (TIG and MIG) and bought the new Unimig 4 in 1 welder that is MIG and TIG in one (DC and AC TIG). I've done a bit of MIG with it and wow, it puts down a bloody nice bead! It's all automated too so you just punch in the metal type, thickness, joint type, etc and start welding. Soooo easy! Haven't had a chance to TIG with it yet but once I've built a welding cart for it (big banger that carries both gas bottles so I don't have to swap them around when I swap between MIG and TIG welding) then I'll have a chance to do some TIG'ing and see how that goes. I've got plenty of titanium test pieces and 4" pipe so I'll do a heap of practicing before I even think about starting on my exhaust. Now that the pool is nearing completion I'm hoping to get back into the Skyline soon. Until my ADHD makes me bite into another project that sidetracks me for another 12 months.....
  7. It's a long list.... 😅 Yeah definitely looks a lot neater than across the terminals, good job! You should start your own little Asian sweatshop now you're pumping out the kids and off work. Get the kids swinging off the soldering iron bangin out custom PWM setups for Skylines! 🤣
  8. Good setup for WTAC! PWM setup very pretty! Still a little bit over my head that stuff. Need to sit down with no other distractions and get my head around it all. I've got the PWM's for when I eventually put mine all back together. Might have to lean on you for assistance. Don't tell me know as by the time it's relevant I will have forgotten!
  9. VIN, previous rego etc would make it considerably easier for someone to help you track it down.
  10. @Dose Pipe Sutututu at least he's got a head start on being clever, he's Asian! 🤣
  11. Ha ha, yeah maybe! I’d rather my kid be into cars than sucking on the glass BBQ! As they say, if you’re into cars you don’t have any money left for drugs! My 12 year old son is only just starting to show a bit of interest in my car recently. He loves it when I bring fast Audis home from work but hadn’t really cared about the GTR till recently. A few years ago I took him for a few (brisk…) rides in an RSQ8 we had on loan from Audi head office and since then he’s hooked on speed! The good speed….
  12. Problem with a big shed is you accumulate a LOT of shit. I keep building add ons to my shed to fit more shit... Main shed is 14x8m, then I added another 3x8m to the right of it. Then I built another shed down the side of the house for the mower and garden shit, it's about 4x4m. Then I built another shed off the back of the main shed for concrete mixer, Kubota tractor, rotary hie, etc and its another 11x2.5m. I've got a lot of sheds on my place.... Can never have too many however! Awesome that you can work with your son on cars! Hopefully I trust mine enough one day!
  13. I'm 45, feeling 65 at the moment.... Unfortunately my Dutchness has not yet eroded to the point where I'm capable of paying any one, to do any thing! I'm hoping the Dutchness starts to wear off more quickly now! Says the guy that just ordered the dearest and most difficult exhaust material in the world to weld properly....
  14. Didn't think I ever would to be honest! Can't wait till summer to finally get some enjoyment out of it after slaving away for the last few months and slopping around in mud! I've destroyed my body in the process (2 X hernias, ankle is rooted, tweaked my back, etc, etc). I think it was worth it.... Yeah Ollie (dog) is a bloody legend! Groodles (Golden Retriever / Standard (tall) Poodle) are an awesome breed. Don't moult fur, awesome demeanour (super affectionate but good guard dog) and due to their super soft coat they're really nice, soft and fluffy dog to pat. They do need trimming twice a year and need a bath every now and then as because they don't moult they can get a bit gamey! Awesome with the kids too. They dress him up and do all sorts of weird shit to him! 🤣 He just lies of the floor and gives them cuddles. Loves, no DEMANDS a bloody pat, jesus he's a clinger.... Other than that, amazingly loyal, affectionate dog! We'll get another one soon.
  15. Good idea, I'll practice on your stuff so I don't wreck my own! 🤣🤣
  16. Yeah country life is the bomb! I paid $152000 for this block 10 years ago.... 2800 square metres which is not huge but plenty for me! The shed is the first thing I built! Number one requirement of moving back to the country from Melbourne was a decent shed. Priorities!
  17. I need to do @Dose Pipe Sutututu and change the title of my build to something to do home renovations.... Operation GT-R pool is nearing completion. Been a pretty full on month of hard work nearly every weekend. Learnt a lot of new skills along the way! Pretty happy with how it's all come along so far. Just got the pool house put up over the weekend which was a pretty mammoth task. It's massive overkill for what it is! I built it with 200mm square steel posts 4m high at the front so it's monstrous! I had to hire an excavator again to put it all up. Putting up the front legs and the 8m long horizontal beam across the front was a bit daunting given the proximity to the house and the pool. I had visions of dropping it and smashing the edge of the pool.... Once I've finished tightening up the frame and painting the uprights I've just got to lay the 100mm PVC stormwater pipe around the pool which will act as my drain. It will be buried under the concrete and then I'll cut a slit into the concrete immediately above (and into) the PVC pipe which will catch the water and drain it away. Hope it works... I saw it on another pool but it was under tiles so they just left a gap between the tiles. Bit trickier with a full concrete surround but I'll make it work! So once that is all done, I'm REALLY hoping to get back into GT-R mode. I know I'm ready to get back into it as I've started parts and tool accumulation again... I had a little play on the car a few weeks ago just further working on the strut towers and smoothing them out. Trying not to be too anal.... I keep changing my mind every 5 minutes but pretty sure I'm going full white underneath. I've ordered the tintable Raptor this time so I can tint it matching white. The final decision will be left till the last minute. I've got black and tintable so can do whatever takes my fancy on the day that I get to it! I've also ordered 4 metres of 4" titanium exhaust tubing.... Although it's probably going to cost me another couple of grand I'm going to redo my exhaust in full titanium apart from the mufflers/cat which are stainless. I ordered in some titanium coupons as well to get my eye back in with the TIG. I'm VERY tempted to get myself a new welder too. Unimig have a new welder out now that is a proper multi use welder that does MIG and AC/DC TIG. Still need two gas bottles but the idea of having one machine rather than 2 cluttering up my shed is pretty attractive. Very confident I'll end up with a new one it's just whether it ends up being 2 new welders or just one. In reality I do a LOT more MIG than TIG but still want a decent machine for both. Especially considering the price of titanium, don't want to waste any of it because of a machine that isn't up to the task! Another new tool I purchased which is AWESOME is the Milwaukee 12V 90 degree die grinder! Awesome little tool. Chews through batteries VERY quick but so much easier to use than carting around an air hose everywhere and I can use it anywhere obviously not need an air line or cord. One of these little suckers- I also bought a cheap Vevor mag (magnetic) drill. Whilst limited use (apart from all the building I've been doing) it's a bloody weapon! It was only $325 so cheap really. I used it to drill a 40mm hole through 20mm thick steel and it absolutely chewed through it in no time! I'm sure I'll find more uses for it in the future to justify it's purchase! Pool progress pics- Enough of my boring waffle. Hopefully next post is nothing to do with pools and all to do with Skylines! Good luck with your projects guys!
  18. Aw sweet, I didn't realise there was an air dry option Cerakote for plastics. I'm keen to have a crack at doing some Cerakote at home. From what I understand it's pretty much the same as powdercoating process except it's a liquid, not a powder.
  19. What is the coating process for the plastics? Paint or something else? Either way they look new again!
  20. PRP are seriously leading the world in RB’s. From where Herman started to where he’s taken that brand is phenomenal. Australia is at the absolute forefront of investment in a 30+ year platform!
  21. Definitely update it if you have big plans down the track. Once you start adding more load to the electrical system (big fuel pumps, thermo fans, LED underglow lights....) you will need more oomph. I would do it even if you don't need more as they look pretty and your 25 year old alternator is probably on it's way out anyway! Any of the known brands are good - CPC, PRP, Frenchy's Performance, etc. I've got a Frenchy's on mine with a Ling Long LS1 alternator off Ebay. Don't ask me if it works, I have no idea!! 🤣
  22. Is it a gasket protruding between the two parts of the engine that is sits over the top of or is it a height difference between the two parts? To me it looks like a protruding gasket with how sharp the cut is.
  23. Bummer... Is that a groove in the o-ring? Is there a lip or a gasket protruding that is cutting into the o-ring? Also, good to see you're wearing Chinese safety boots. Too cold down here in Victoria for those at the moment! 🤣
