Hi All, Anyone got any suggestion where to get coilovers from and installed as well in Sydney? and what are the optimum brands for our cars? I have a 2005 coupe. regards, JT

what brand are your coilovers? im thinking of lowering my car too.... i probably do it like 1/4 gap between tyres and fender?

Cat back exhaust gives you enough purr... match it wit some cold air intake..

well because i have given up paying for getting the same answer. the next service which is back where i got the car from and because its on warranty i can bug them again with it to make another attempt to look at the problem.

anyhow seriously can't replicate the noise unless i drive the car. oh well i have to put up with it for the next 6 months till my next service!

Superpoo - i think you have something there. i haven't tried that one yet. since the so called experts like pedders and a couple of big franchise mechanics couldn't pin point where its coming from I might give that a go. so i have ruled out suspensions, calipers, park brakes, sway bar links, sway bars, control arm bushings, exhaust, mufflers and heat shields. defintely not from the rims as i have a new set (it was doing it from the standard too). sonicii - yeah over bumps not all the time, like street humps over and off it and like on concrete roads where there is a gap for the next concrete block. Hardly (almost none) on asphalt... This used to happen on the right side but that one is completely gone the guys where i got it from had tried fixing it. but they just wouldnt give a time trying to do the other side and kept on saying its not gonna break the car! just frustrating sometimes!

I got one of my mates to walk while i drove slowly over bumps. Trust me im as baffled as they are. We can here it but dont know where its coming from. Just from reading the link i posted above i thought i finally found it as no one really looked in there. Maybe i should cable tie myself to the suspension so i wouldnt have to ask and look stupid here.

Took it to pedders it aint that. I dont think its suspension related. Definitely coming from behind calipers or there abouts.

Scotty thanks for the offer man. But im in Sydney. I figured it might be those. But the mechanic said its all in tact. They tapped the car while hoisted but couldnt hear. However they hear when they are driving over bumps. Pedders checked it already but couldnt here it when its on them suspension shaker. But can hear it when driving over bumps. I figured if it was drive shaft they would figure it out straight away. Should i take it for another nth time opinion? Wasting $$$ paying for no result.

Can you suggest good High flow cat brands? im assuming i would need two?

Hi All, so im over my rattle issue no one seems to quite figure out where its coming from. Anyway, i have an xforce catback system (its really for a 350z but since they are the same thats what Im using) should i match that with xforce headers? its around $1200 what do you guys think? or should i go for a hi flow cat? is the cat OEM hi flow already? thanks JT

Ok so took the car to a reputable mechanic. hoisted it and said took the park brakes apart and said everything looks ok. They spent an hour and half trying to tap the whole car to find it. They said they can hear it but they couldn't find it. I am wondering now if drive shafts makes rattle noise when it goes over bumps? (i muchly doubt it)

can has NRMA membership? I will try to find a mechanic like Jax or midas or something.
