In the UK, they tend to call the 'estate' conversion of a coupe a 'shooting brake'. Meaning that when the overly wealthy son of rajab of the mannor wants to go blast some pheasants, there is a place to put one's shotgun in one's Aston. * TVR looks Photoshopped to me - rest are real

Also: If anyone entering wants to fit a custom interior (leather, custom cloth etc) please let me know ASAP. Have a supplier wanting to donate their time and skill (your cost of materials) to have an interior on display at MAS. They haven't got any of their own cars to feature and wondered if we would be interested? Not my area of expertise - supplier is a cousin of one of the guys here at work - but email me if you are interested: [email protected]

Cool. Who is Kevin Wong? Is that KingKW13? What size!! Gonna be a M if you don't tell me ASAP
-
Order has been placed - but could probably sneak some extras. YOU MUST TELL ME WHAT SIZE!! Can't make that clear enough West: The polos are for girls - they are a fitted ladies' size.
-
Ah - he was driving a race-car with cage, semi-comps, stickers all over the window, some of his lights not working, no grill... etc
-
Yeah - there was an unmarked across the other side of Telstra Dome that saw Adam 'drift' past. The police asked him to stop - finished booking the other driver - and then got medievil on him. A couple of other people were breath tested - but no police were at the carpark (I left at 11pm). No one (aside from Adam) was defected. J

Nope - Fulllock will open the gates early for us as we arrive en-masse. We get VIP treatmen

List updated. PM's received Flex: All OK NRB: Bank is being slow - order is fine though KingKW13: I got a payment via EFT but still don't know what size? Hiroshima: Will order you a M if you don't tell me what size... If your name is on the sheet - the shirt will be ordered. Thanks everyone.

Since we're venting... i'm sure we ALL hate these: Peanut butter vs. Vegemite: My mate just made some Vegemite toast, and says that his is so much better than my peanut butter sandwich as he's using only a little bit of margarine and only one piece of bread. I told him he's lying as everyone knows that margaraine is polyunsaturated and that monounsaturated is better. Plus I'm using smooth peanut butter in the Bob-the-Builder jar. But is he right? I think his toaster is set to 4 of a possible 5. Plus he's using multigrain bread. My cousin made some vegemite toast the other day, but made his toaster go to 7 out of 5 as he's at TAFE and knows heaps about stuff. His was good - but as I said, he's at TAFE and my mate's in year 11. We're going to fight about it after school, but only if my mum doesn't come to pick me up first. Oh... also, I want an R34 GTR VSpec III Nür type-M wagon for my 21st - which is in 10 years time. How much will it cost? I want a green one.
-
That's some fancy-ass driving there. I have tried this sooo many times and still, officially, suck at it
-

Thread up for cruise to event: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...0263#post730263 South Eastern people: Megamart Chadstone (Warrigal Rd) - as per GOR cruise. Northern: - suggestions? Western: Calder Park gates at 10.45am Calder Park raceway is on Calder FWY near the airport. Very easy to get to:
-
Yup - I will be at MegaMart Chaddy @ 9.30am - leaving at 10.00am. Carpark entry on Warrigal Rd. We'll go in along the FWY. I will exit at Toorak Rd to collect a few people at Sth Yarra Shell (Leewah, Wardest etc) - but rejoin at Kings Way. Follow me or take the tunnel - your choice. Then over Bolte Bridge, along Tulla FWY to Calder FWY - to meet at the gate approx 10.45am If you don't have eTag, go over Westgate, onto Western Ring Road (watch those cameras) and join the Calder FWY from there. Since this is not a 'cruise' per say - I have no objection to taking rear-seat passengers if I have room. Bring a CB if you have one. My mob: 0417 037 520 If you get to Calder on Sat independent of the main group of cars, tell them you are with SAU to gain a tag that gives you PIT ACCESS I will bring the banner (has Snowman's car on it) so look for that if you want to say hi to everyone. See you Saturday - and I'll be at the meet on Friday night if anyone has questions. James

Maybe we need to lift our game to be in the same league as these chaps? http://www.hayezsquad.co.uk/ Can I see a group buy on white-leather driving gloves? (oh god, please no)
-
Oooh yeah. The alphanumeric spelling style and alternating capitals make baby Jesus cry. My patience is thin at best - this does nothing to help. I think it actually takes MORE effort to type like a f*ckwit than it does normally. I'm glad I'm not alone. I feel better.
-
Is a very fair call E. I'm still taking everything they say with a grain of salt - but what can we do? Is better to inform them of the meet and hope they behave, than have a unit stumble across it and call in the SWAT team. The officer I spoke to said 'if you guys play the game, then we'll play the game' - in reference to us behaving ourselves. Lets hope they treat this as a valuable PR exercise - and perhaps a bit of education to the Po's - that we're capable of having a civil, organised meeting with no trouble. That said - they haven't exactly bent over backwards to incite our trust in the past, so if you are concerned - don't bring your car Also: SGSKY: I would like to apologise for my unfriendly response in the previous post. Was having a bad day. You asked a fair question - and I unleashed. Sorry
-
Spoke to TMU and Police Special Events - they all cool. We play nice, they'll play nice - or I'll call Ray Martin

Shan: The art for number 2 was in the doc I sent you, but was on separate layer. Not in the office with my computer at the mo - so can't send it from here. Doing the logo as a font would be much better - mine is just a trace - but you'll need to outline it before you send it to me as I don't have the font. If you can see the layers - should be OK. I used Ill-10. Do you have EPS art of the other logos? Timing is OK - art can be delivered as late as Thurs arvo - so we can sort it out tonight. Will post up a big order sheet when I get back to the office - want to get numbers sorted perfectly this time. Got 24 already though from PMs and interest in this thread. Adz: Yeah - http://www.bluegum.com.au is the website. Will bring some of the sizes from last year for people to try at the meeting. I'd say you'd be L or XL - I have an L. Fits nice but shows off my, ah, 'curves' Going there on the way back from meeting to pick up some sample polos for the girls too. See you all se soir.

Hi SGSky Welcome to Melbourne. Just like in most other cities around the world, Friday is the day after Thursday, which follows Wednesday and so on. If you care to look outside - you'll notice it's Tuesday - and that Friday is 2-and-a-bit days away. Each post has (in the darker strip above it) a time of posting. I note that yours was posted at 6.41pm, Today (Tuesday). To your credit there is no actual 'date' posted in the event thread - but really, it's not that hard to see it is referring to this coming Friday the 19th March 2004. Sorry to be a smartass - but I've had a bad day in seriousness: Come along - would be great to meet you there @ 7-10pm Friday 19th March. I promise I wont be grumpy like I am today
-
Is there a possibility of you guys changing the date to Fri - so you can come to the Fulllock meet (mentioned in Nismoid's post)? Should be cool. Hell - you could do both
