Us Suppliers I've Used
Skylinetragic replied to Skylinetragic's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Good to know as I intended to buy one of their Akebono BBK's -
Thought I would share the details of a few US suppliers I used for OEM and aftermarket bits in the last few months for my V36 Circle Infiniti - came across these guys on Ebay but dealt with them direct. My main contact was Tony and used email exclusively - paid via paypal Everything G35 - googled these guys when I as looking for an OEM front lip. Web based sales with real time shipping cost. Great for stocked items, no good for special orders - http://www.g35parts.com/default.asp. Used credit card Autokits-x - found these guys on G35 driver, used email and paypal. www.autokitsx.com - contact was Jaime B2autodesigns - found these guys also on G35driver and they gave me a sharp price on my cusco strut. Used email and paypal, contact was Charles http://www.b2autodesigns.com/index.php I would use all these guys again. Hope this helps someone else out.

Just thought I'd chime in with an update to this aged thread.... doing some research and this vendor sells on G35driver and for V36's they offer via a link from there the following two cheaper options if you want to forgo SS lines and brakefluid that you probably wouldn't be able to ship anyway: http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=2920 http://conceptzperformance.com/Cart/description.php?II=3240 Seems you maybe don't need adaptors for the 07+ vehicles

Panel Beaters Inner West Sydney
Skylinetragic replied to Skylinetragic's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
I was knocked back yesterday by a few panel beaters in the Marrickville area as being in the too hard basket, read the post last night and rang Tony at Tunehouse today - his good oil was Tom from J&I Smash Repairs in Marrickville who just fitted a $12k body kit to one of their race cars - going to see them next week after the diffuser turns up from Fort Lauderdale. I'll post how it all goes, thanks for the heads up. -
Hey guys I have trawled the site looking for panel beaters in the inner west of Sydney and there are bunch of reccomendations for plenty, just not close too me. I am wondering if anyone has had any experience with any in the inner west area specifically around Marrickville? I have some OEM body kit stuff for my V36 I need fiited that is beyond my ability to do well with my car parked on the road (no driveway or garage to speak of). Cheers in advance

The FI HFC get a good wrap on G35 with a few vids posted but I can't seem to get them delivered to Aus. I found a bunch of other Youtube vids with Berk HFC the other day I'm sure, there was some rasp but I can't recall the CBE they were running.

Almost 2 Weeks When Infiniti Launches Here
Skylinetragic replied to coupestar's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Not really cos if you trawled import monster you would find that there is infiniti branded and completely non branded stuff for the V36 (lots of non branded mats for instance). I don't get the whole rebranding thing, if you bought a Skyline for the resale value then you've pretty much missed the point IMO, but each to his own I guess. The only good thing from Infiniti arriving is the hope that my satnav can be upgraded. -

you can get skyline mats for V series via Yahoo auctions Japan and if you can't read kanji (like me) importmonster.com.au can help albeit at a price. Depends on the $$ you want to spend. -

V35 Insurance Drama
Skylinetragic replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I'm with AI Insurance which was the cheapest and best for me. I found a load of info from this V35 insurance thread: http://www.skylinesa..._1#entry6366708 These were my quotes 2 months ago: NRMA - $1758 Suncorp - $2361 Justcar- $1554 AI Insurance - $1065 Shannons as usual declined, don't know why I bothered - AI couldn't do enough to get my business, courtesy calls and emails, not pushy, just interested. -
Your tyres can be part of the problem - harder compounds and older tyres will generate more noise. Gutter rash can be fixed, I had my rash repaired here in Sydney, was a great job, not much help for you over in the Republic of WA though! Google is your friend I guess!

Almost 2 Weeks When Infiniti Launches Here
Skylinetragic replied to coupestar's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I was thinking the same thing about the M - there were also a few posts from punters on the infiniti blog page that made it past their blog police that highlight the significant price point differences for the same models in the USA and what is proposed for here -

Go the Infiniti Australian website at: http://www.infiniticars.com.au and you'll find amongst a whole load of stuff the following: Future Infiniti models Two additional models – the Infiniti G Coupé and matching G Convertible – will join the Australian range from December. Further details about these two exciting models will be issued closer to their date of release. Even more exciting models are scheduled to be added from next year. Interestingly no mention of a G series sedan initially! -
The V Series Spotted Thread
Skylinetragic replied to funkymonkey's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I just joined a V36 Sedan Drivers FB group - mostly full of G35 sedan drivers as far as I can tell. They seem pretty cool so far! http://www.facebook.com/groups/V36SedanDrivers/?bookmark_t=group#!/groups/V36SedanDrivers/ Invite only group but hell they let me in so shouldn't be a drama for anyone else. -
V35 Tailight Tint
Skylinetragic replied to KingManu23's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
There is a guy on G35driver that offers all sorts of tint for lights and roof vinyl covers etc - you can find all of his stuff here: http://s2.photobucket.com/albums/y42/BlueBatmobile2005/ His user name on G35driver.com is bluebatmobile, you could PM him as well. I think I read somewhere in here that it is illegal in NSW but I could never find that post again, maybe others can advise! -

Usdm G35 And Jdm 350Gt Suspension Difference?
Skylinetragic replied to OMG513's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I'll give my 2 cents worth here rather than over on G35driver.... It could be that they offer a number of different models in the G35 including an all wheel drive version - they have (as far as I can tell) the base, Journey, Sport and X which is AWD. This may be the reason, perhaps others can confirm and/or deny. From what I've read on G35driver with the Tein there is a good chance you'll need a camber kit whereas with the Eibach maybe not - again probably some experience in here that can confirm. -
If it's just certifing as opposed to providing legal opinion, you can get a JP or local court registar to do that for free. There are a bunch of other professions who can do that for you in NSW as well, including Doctors, Dentists blah blah blah, even once got a cop to witness a stat dec for my divorce. Google is your friend in this regard. If it's more than just certifying, then you can ignore everything I just said!

Auto Door Lock Feature V36
Skylinetragic replied to projectx's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I have been wondering the same thing and your question got me searching - seems it depends on the year: Mine is a 2007 and the answer is no if the G35Driver forum is anything to go by: http://g35driver.com...or-locking.html The same post goes on to say that the 2009 does. For the 2007 and earlier, there are references to modules by KP Technologies - http://www.kptechnol...del=G35%20Sedan I also found a post for the 2008 G37 which details how to activate it: http://forums.nicocl...ks-t474199.html So it seems for 2007 and prior, no, but for 2008 and later yes. So you might be okay. Pretty annoying really as my last ride, a 1995 R33 had it, but my new car, 12 years younger doesn't - go figure! -

Stumbled on this on the Nissan Japan website and thought I'd share the link to their downloadable wallpaper page: http://www.nissan.co.jp/EVENT/WALLPAPER/2011/SKYLINE/

Transgo Shift Kit
Skylinetragic replied to nicktherip's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Make sure you post up the results/cost, G35driver has a few posts about these kits and all seems positive - if all good I might get one! -
I know this is a little late, but have you checked this link out: http://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/353062-aftermarket-coupe-exhaust-compilation.html I actually haven't but there is a similar page for the G35 2007 sedan which is the equivalent of the V36. I know what I'm going to get now!!

V36 Performance Priorities
Skylinetragic replied to Skylinetragic's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I found a guy on G35driver.com who delivers to Australia for $135 - sxexcx is his username. My google searches for a G35 grounding kit kept on bringing him up so I joined and PMed, he says he's sent loads of kits over here. I found a few stillen kits online, but not in the colour I wanted and I've tried unsuccessfully to fit universal kits for other things before (they fitted like shi*t) so I figure I'll try him out - he takes paypal so at least it's traceable. -
I'm just about to join the ranks of V series drivers after 3 years in a R33 GTST. My 33 was reasonably stock but I definatley noticed improved performance when I installed a HFC and 3" CBE, installed a pod filter and then also put in a cold box. I also installed a GFB 2 stage boost controller which was a bit of fun at times. So my question is, what should my priorities be for a V36 sedan: I was thinking: 1) Cold air intake Stillen cold air intakes http://www.stillen.c...INITI&model=G35 There is also a great youtube video for ingen here, but I'm not too keen on taking my front bar off media] 2) Exhaust Stock headers remain - I can't see anywhere here or on G35driver with a compelling argument to swap them out?? Install HFC - recommendations welcome - Berk or ?? Install CBE - again recommendations - so many options?? I was also wondering if anyone has any experience with test pipes / decat pipes in Australia. I know the implications if I get pulled over. There are comments on G35driver about increased smell and power improvements. 3) Plenum Spacer I was thinking a Motordyne 5/16 plenum spacer as I may want to put a strut in later, not sure 4) Grounding kit Again Stillen http://www.stillen.c...ar=&make= Have I missed anything? Grateful for your advice/recommendations Cheers
