  1. Check in the Group buy section of the forum for RDA prices, as they're very good, and I won't take it away from them. But with regards to the pads, if its street only, then QFM HPX pads are as good as Bendix Ultimate's in performance, but minus the dust and rotor wear. I'm still honoring the group buy pricing of half price rears, which makes a front and rear set delivered to your door for $131. Cheers, Greg
  2. Yep, if its a 4 stud skyline it'll take DB1165. I'd be taking this opportunity to get some better pads than Ferodo Excels...
  3. I won't get into a DBA vs. RDA argument, cause they never end well, but the one thing people are starting to agree on quickly is QFM pads... If you just do street stuff, then the QFM HPX pad is the same sort of performance as something like a Bendix Ultimate, but if you ever plan to do track work, or want the best street brakes available, the QFM A1RM is still a 100% streetable pad, and is good for 780 degrees, and what we personally run in the rally car. Group buy pricing of half price rears is sort of just sticking around, so you can get front and rears A1RMs delivered to your door for $191, or $131 for the HPX. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Au...ra-t231267.html Some of the recent reviews of QFM: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4138203 (SAU) http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4141983 (SAU) http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/820679-post3.html http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....mp;p=1282156408 http://www.boostcruising.com/forums/index....mp;p=1282506286 For more information checkout www.qfmperformance.com
  4. No, we're shooting the guy because there's ALOT of people who use Lucas pads in club motorsport applications and are flat out getting them to fade even in heavy, high powered cars. If he's getting them to fade 'easily' on public roads then that's of bigger concern than what he think of the actual pads... That sums it up nicely. I'm not going to say any more on the issue. No, Lucas aren't a DS3000, or EBC Yellow or A1RM, but they are a VERY good street pad that will cop alot of high temperature in light to medium track use, so to say they fade easily on a street car is BS.
  5. Hi mate $119/$75 front/rear. $10 shipping. Regards, Greg
  6. I think this guy gives a pretty fair, reasonable and unbiased view of Lucas pads: http://soarer.ace.net.au/lucas_trw.html And a Soarer isn't exactly the light car. Maybe they're not suitable for your particular application, but for 99% of people Lucas are more than enough for daily and light track duties. Definitely a far better pad than a Bendix Ultimate, nothing I see posted on an internet forum will ever change my opinion of that...
  7. With comments like that I really won't take offense to your 'harsh reply'. Sorry.
  8. Each to their own. I personally know, cause I've seen for myself, there's a very large percentage of the Clubman QLD Rally competitors (including a very heavy, very fast Datsun 240K that knocks off WRXs and has standard size pads) that run Lucas pads. They also won 'Race' Magazine (you know, one of Australia's most respected technical magazines) brake pad of choice for clubman motorsport competitors. I did 2 seasons and took a state rallying title on Lucas pads, so don't tell me my comparisons are misleading. For every one person that claims to be unhappy with Lucas I could name 10 that are...

  10. Hi mate, Delivered to you the TRW would be $70 and the HPX $79. Regards, Greg
  11. Lucas out of the box are good for 650degrees, but after heavy use can be re scorched alot higher. We ran them for years in the rally car (before switching to the QFM A1RM which has more bite), but Lucas pads have no issues with very high temp, and are not something you'll fry on the street if everything else with your brakes is fine. That said, I would now take A1RM over them any day for a dedicated performance car.
  12. Sorry mate. Myself and the team were down at Phillip Is. for the 6 hour over the weekend, and have only just gotten back in today. Will PM straight away. Regards, Greg
  13. Hi mate, Yep, still got a couple of HPX Brembos on the shelf. Just PM your details, name, delivery address (preferably business) and email, and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details etc. or else credit card over the phone is also fine. Regards, Greg
  14. Sorry bud. Loctite 3 (or permatex as its otherwise known) is just a non-hardening gasket or sealant that can be bought at most bearing, automotive or hardware store. But pull the pads out first, give them a light rub on concrete, on BOTH sides of the pad. The type of squeal you describe is harmonics between the pad and the caliper, and nothing to do with pad material itself. Did you machine or replace the rotor with the pads?

QFM's Performance Street pads fall into two compounds. The first is the HPX pad which is an excellent choice for street cars looking for excellent braking performance whilst retaining all the qualities of a good street pad. The HPX pads are ideal for high performance street cars looking for higher working temperatures with reduced fade, and also for Four Wheel Drives or vehicles looking to enhance their towing capacity or safety. The HPX pads unlike many pads in this performance range are virtually dust free, whilst maintaining low rotor wear. QFM's second high performance street pad is the A1RM compound and provides QFM with its club sport track pad. It is ideal for high performance street cars that take to the track to test the limits, whilst still being a streetable pad. The A1RM is ideal for club level rally and hill climb where brakes are required right from the first corner! SPECIFICATIONS Formulation - Cold Friction - High Friction - Temperature © HP-X - 0.41 - 0.42 - 0-550 A1RM - 0.40 - 0.48 - 0-780 A1RM pads will be available in Sep group buy, or else PM me now if you're desperate. Any questions let me know.
  18. Hi mate, The Lucas are a very good pad, and will withstand very high temperatures. We peronally used to run the in the rally car because for the price, you couldn't go past the performance. We've now replaced them with the QFM A1RM, which is more of a dedicated performance pad, and its definately an improvement. Although the Lucas will withstand very high temperatures, its still just a very good performing street pad, and not a performance pad as such. Other problem with the Lucas is the dust. Yep, I think from memory (don't quote me), the TRW's for the Brembo are about $120ish/$75ish front/rear... If the car isn't being used on the track, then the HPX will be more than enough, whilst providing good cold bite, and minimal dust. With the QFM we often forget that the HPX is the lesser of two pads when compared to the (slightly more expensive) A1RM, but the HPX still has the sort of performance of Bendix Ultimate, or Ferodo DS2500 or EBC Green stuff, but whilst remaining a very good street pad. If dust is of concern, stick to the HPX. If dust isn't a big concern, then the TRW Lucas is definately a slightly high performing pad, but is quite dusty. Hope that helps! Regards, Greg
  19. Hi mate, Only got Brembo pads left in HPX, which is the similar sort of performance as Bendix Ultimates, just minus the dust and rotor wear. $149, plus $12.50 shipping for for the rears, or $236 for front and rear shipped. Regards, Greg
  20. Hi mate, Yep, that's correct, but unfortunately out of stock at the moment. Should have more Brembo A1RM pads in about 4 weeks time. Regards, Greg
  21. Hi mate, If you've got the Brembo calipers, then yep, definately! Regards, Greg
  22. *** Update *** Another set of A1RM Brembo and Normal Turbo Brakes sold... leaving only: - 3 sets of HPX Front and Rear Brembo Pads. $110 + $55 + $12.50 shipping = $177.50 delivered!
  23. 1 Set of Brembo HPX Brembo Sold! Leaving: 2 x Sets HPX Brembo 1 x Set A1RM Brembo 1 x Set A1RM Normal Turbo Regards, Greg
  24. A set of Brembo A1RM sold, which only leaves one more set! Still 3 sets of HPX Brembo, and 1 set of normal Turbo A1RM.
