Adr Approved Braided Brake Hoses & Qfm Brake Pads
gslrallysport replied to markk's topic in Group Buys
Nice... I've sent quite a bit of stuff to QFM lately to get custom done, and generally been no more than 3 weeks tops. Have been a couple of exceptions though. Because the high performance QFM stuff only gets done on weekends, outside their normal production schedule, they can't change the oven settings until they've got enough pads to make it worthwhile. I know this is your group buy, so I won't push the point, but if you can get a few people together I should be able to match brake west's price on those Brembo pads, WITHOUT the need to exchange pads, and have your car off the road for up to a few weeks... -
Adr Approved Braided Brake Hoses & Qfm Brake Pads
gslrallysport replied to markk's topic in Group Buys
Yep, inquire with Brake West and let us know. I was getting the backing plates by buying the cheapest pads available (in this case, Bendix GCT), and then stripping them and sending to QFM. If you've already got the backing plates it makes it a bit cheaper. Let us know what BW can do, or else, I'm fairly local to QFM, so might be able to be a few bucks cheaper as I save freight from Melb-Bris-Melb on the old backing plates... -
Bendix Pads And Brake Dust
gslrallysport replied to Gazzilla's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
$75. I'm a QFM Stockist (as well as Bendix, EBC, RDA, Ferodo, Protex etc.), and I'd take QFM over any of them... PM me, or checkout www.gslrallysport.com if you're interested. -

gslrallysport replied to markk's topic in Group Buys
I've got QFM available for the Brembo, but I get them custom made so they're a bit more expensive though, looking at $150 for the HPX (I think you guys call it K500) and $175 for the A1RM (K750). Still much better pads and value for money than anything else out there! -
Bendix Pads And Brake Dust

QFM HPX FTW! Better performance than Ultimates, whilst still being very low dust and rotor wear... -

Hi mate, What do you use your car for, and what are your priorities with brake pads? Dust, performance, rotor wear? How much are you prepared to spend? -

Fs [qld] Toyota Celica St185 Gt4

On ebay, grab a bargin! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=320173956565 -
Australian delivered Red ST185 GT4. Bought slightly damaged, had a minor glaze against a guard rail before I bought it, and only needs a couple of front qtr panels and a new bumper to fix it back to perfect. Would make an excellant base car for a rally car, or other motorsport vehicle, or with a bit of TLC back to a perfect road car. As is currently unregistered, am happy to hire a car trailer and deliver a reasonable distance from Brisbane if required. $8000, if no interest, will throw it up on Ebay... Sorry about the crappy picture quality, its under a house, and I took them on my phone. Any questions call me 0439 774 126. Protex Performance Ceramic Brake Pads
gslrallysport replied to darkhorse's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep, but since they banned asbestos, that's the trade off with most pads. The only performance pads that don't produce a lot of dust is the QFM HP-X. Although not as good as the Lucas (650vs550) it is still as good as Bendix Ultimate, and easily enough for most road cars. -
Ferodo Ds2500 Pad Price
gslrallysport replied to gtr fan's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
That's what I can't understand... At about 600 degrees, they're no better than TRW Lucas or Green Stuff, and ON PAPER only marginally better than Ultimates or QFM HPX... Yet people seem to think they have to spend big money on pads. I find it funny that most people who rate DS2500 (or even to a lesser degrees, Ultimates), can't even tell you what brake fluid they're running, which is always the weakest link first... -
Protex Performance Ceramic Brake Pads
gslrallysport replied to darkhorse's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Any ABS Store sells them, and some other parts outlets as well. I've found that even with a $7 airbag I've been able to do them for less than most others anyway... If you get stuck trying to find somewhere let me know. -

Protex Performance Ceramic Brake Pads
gslrallysport replied to darkhorse's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hi mate, What are your requirements? If you're not specifically after performance pads, Lucas are dirt cheap, and good enough to win state rallying titles on. Above that you've got the usual horde of performance pads like EBC, Ferodo, QFM etc. Protex in general, be it their standard or performance range have always been good value for money, just a little harsh on rotors... Ferodo Ds2500 Pad Price
gslrallysport replied to gtr fan's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
QFM A1RM... 780 degrees... $110. End of story. Better than either Lucas, DS2500 or EBC Red. -
Ferodo Ds2500 Pad Price
gslrallysport replied to gtr fan's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Are you specifically after the DS2500? There's ALOT better pads out there for the money. EBC, QFM, TRW Lucas for starters... -
Brakes Still Crap - What's Next?
gslrallysport replied to MrStabby's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
QFM A1RM FTW! -
GSL RallySport does both (and lots more) of them. Although I'm in Brisbane, I specialise in mail order and my sales are pretty well split locally and interstate. Shipping to Sydney is only $7 anyway, and will still come in under what Repco/Autobarn/Bursons will charge. PM if you like, or what are are your requirements?

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Hyundai Rally Series Roars Into QLD AUSTRALIA, Queensland (October 05, 2007) – With its first event only months away, the final touches are being put on the 2008 GSL RallySport Queensland Excel Series! Following the enormous success of the format in other states, the series is being launched in QLD next year! The one make series provides a level playing field for all competitors, making it ideal for both the novice and seasoned competitor alike. With bullet proof cars and fierce competition, the series provides an Excel-lent platform for those wishing to proof their worth against the best drivers in the country, and given the low cost, it’s also one of the most accessible forms of motorsport. QLD Automotive Parts and Motorsport Promotions business, GSL RallySport, is spearheading the introduction of the series locally, and already has the boxes ticked in making this one of the best series’ in the country. “Having seen first hand the enormous coverage and enthralling battles that this unique format generates in other states, it was too good to ignore!” said GSL RallySport’s Greg Latham. “The series provides a unique opportunity to combine both great competition, and outright spectacle, whilst still maintaining its low cost appeal.” The series also has support from both Hyundai, and Motorsport Solutions Australia, who have partnered the series in assisting competitors with the preparation, build and safety of their vehicles. The series also has welcome support from Hyundai A-League team, the QLD Roar, in promoting the series. January 13 is the official Excel Series season launch at Suncorp Stadium, coinciding with the last home game of the regular 07/08 A-League season. The Excel series is contested over 6 rounds of the QLD Rally Championship and is one of the most challenging in the country. With events based not only in South East Queensland, but also as far north as the challenging roads of Rockhampton, and south to the smooth fast flowing roads of Coffs Harbour, for the Excel ‘State of Origin’ with NSW in July. What sort of pads are you after? As has been said, Lucas are a VERY good pad, good for 650 degrees, and VERY cheap. Its what I rally on, and can not justify spending the stupid amounts of money that ' high performance street cars' seem to spend on theirs. Above that you've got QFM's A1RM semi race pad (50-780) for $110 a set... Let us what sort of pads you're after, and stop spending stupid amounts of money on sbs/hawk/pagid/endless rubbish when there's better and cheaper options out there anyway. More importantly what fluid are you running?
