  1. Has anyone got a spare or used set of S2 pads I can purchase off them? If I can get my hands on a set, I can get them laser cut, then get QFM to turn them into pads, all I'd need to know is what the original pad thicknesses are. Pricing on custom pads like this (in any quantity) is $110 for HPX (Bendix Ultimate type equivalent pad), or $149 for A1RM (Ferodo DS2500 type equivalent pad). For more info on those pad materials, checkout http://www.qfmperformance.com Side bar: We've got DB1144's in A1RM compound to suit the rear of S1 on the shelf, $119. Also, if someone can send me an old set of DB1250/1398 I can get the S1 front's made up for the same price as the S2 pads. If anyone can help, feel free to PM me, or give me a bell on 1300 884 836. If there's enough interest I can certainly look at doing a group buy, and that will also help cut down on the price of the donor pads if I have to purchase them new from overseas. Cheers, Greg
  2. How much?!?!?! For $130, I'd seriously hope they're something similar to the A1RM, not the HPX, but judging by this: http://www.brakesplus.com.au/index.php?id=59 I'd definitely say they're a HPX pad in a different box...
  3. As a couple of people have mentioned already, the QFM A1RM... Good for 780 degrees, works from dead cold, doesn't product alot of dust, and generally is dead quiet. I personally run them in both the rally car, and also my daily driven tow vehicle just because there's no reason not to! 4. The last PM i sent to 'SAUTraderAdmin' as per the link in 'SAU Guidelines' was on the 5th Nov 2008 at 11:55am...
  5. After 2 email and a PM went un-replied I gave up... If someone would like to call me with how to be a trader if places are available, feel free 1300 884 836, or email me greg [at] gslrallysport.com Thank you
  6. Hi mate, What's your budget? With the sh!t Aussie dollar at the moment a set of Aussie Made DMS Coilovers might be cheaper than you think... and you'd have them in weeks, not months. You want me to price you up a set with springs? Cheers, Greg
  7. or DMS, but as with either, you get what you pay for!
  8. Lots... you wouldn't be able to buy one set of Endless for the price of front and rear QFM's... let alone shipping. BTW, for those that may be interested, I've just updated the QFM Performance website with a heap of customer feedback and links to where they said it, quite a few of which came directly from this forum. http://www.qfmperformance.com
  9. The biggest issue with the DMS in the Excels is that for the last 3 years the Excel one-make series regulations have prohibited adjustable suspension. That mean the only option out of DMS was the 40mm casings with a different insert. The 40mm gear is MORE than enough for street cars, and sh!tes over the likes of Cusco/Tein/D2/G4 etc... The other issue with the Excel DMS is that the Excels are some of the hardest driven rally cars in Australia, so that takes more of a pounding than usual which again puts more stress on what was already only designed for street/track use. Being a one make series, there's no excuse for people to be slow, and stock standard Excels on DMS regularly finish in the top 10 of state rounds against fields of 20 WRX/EVO's. The fact that a stock standard $4000 shopping trolley on $3000 DMS can knock off turbo charged AWD's worth 4 or 5 times more says more for the DMS that it does against it... Next year the rules are changing allowing adjustable suspension, so the ability to go up the 50mm shocks will fix alot of the issues the Excels are having. Personally I'd had no issues with the DMS in our Excel this year after 8 events, and we're leading the QLD Series so we're not exactly backing off for the rough stuff... But yep, in a street/track car, I've no hesitation in saying you won't have a problem quality wise.
  10. Hi mate, If you ever plan to do track work, then I'd be looking at taking the QFM A1RM over the QFM HPX. The HPX is still capable of limited track work, and has similar performance to a Bendix Ultimate, but the A1RM gives you that extra margin of a pad that you know will do track work, whilst remaining 100% streetable, albeit a little bit of dust. They still work from dead cold, don't chew through rotors etc. Assuming you've just got the stock 'Nissan' Sumitomo 4/2 pot brakes then I could ship you a full car set of pads for $239AUD. The shape the Aussie dollar is at the moment that's only about $190 Canadian! Or else if you did just want the HPX then you'd be looking at $179AUD for a full car set. Regards, Greg
  11. 1 week left guys! Get in early for Christmas!!!
  12. I totally agree, but unfortunately we get a lot of "oh, that's a bit more than i expected" after people have already priced up other cheaper brands of coilovers... I'm with in in that I'd rather throw the best in and not have to worry about them, or regret paying that little bit extra for quality. We just run the basic 40mm DMS struts in our gravel rally car and they're great. The 50mm are a whole another level again... What have you been quoted for them?
  13. ^ Yep! What he said! We refuse to sell the cheaper, 'name' brand coilovers that are becoming popular just because of macca's cred of having 'coilovers', when half the time they don't work, or need rebuilding after only months of use. At least with the DMS gear, we sell it, knowing it will out perform the customer's expectation, and won't come back broken in 6 months time... DMS are either hideously expensive when compared to D2/K Sport/Tein etc., or ridiculously cheap when compared to Ohlins/Sachs/Reigers etc. You can look at it either way depending on how serious you are, but the later is more representative of the product!

  15. Woo Hoo!!! I've had 4 boxes of A1RM DB1170 pads show up from QFM! Been waiting on nill stock for these for weeks! So, A1RM's now available, continuing the half price rears deal: DB1170A1RM Fronts $119 + DB1220A1RM Rears $59.50 + $12.50 Shipped = $191 delivered! Same deal as always, if you'd like to order, PM your details, name, delivery address (preferably work or business), contact number, and email and I can fire you through an invoice with direct deposit details, or else credit card over the phone, 1300 884 836. 16. Feedback from a 300ZX at Winton on A1RM Street/Track Pads! http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php...amp;postcount=9
  17. Hi mate, Yep, provided you've got the 4/2 pot calipers that say "Nissan" on them they're the ones. With the QFM stuff, you can't really run it like a traditional group buy, because QFM doesn't keep any of their performance stuff in stock, its all made on request. So if you ran a group buy for a month, then a month for manufacture, some people would be waiting up to 2 months for pads. So what we do to solve this is order a stack of pads dedicated to the group buy, then once payment is received, ship the pads out straight away until we're out of pads. At the moment we've still 13 sets of normal HPX, and 2 sets of A1RM suit Brembo left... Regards, Greg
  18. Andrew, $119, and should have some in stock early next.
  19. Yep, either Lucas or QFM HPX. Very similar pad, biggest difference would be the HPX is a low dust pad, where as the Lucas can get quite dusty. Either pad, with slotted rotors, and MORE IMPORTANTLY good fluid, will do the job. We ran Lucas in the rally car and road car for years and they were (still are) an excellent pad, but have switched to the HPX in my road car as they're probably a better all round pad without losing any of the performance of the Lucas, and at a similar price if you get the rears half price. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/No...in-t241385.html
  20. What pad reference do the G4 (same as D2?) calipers take? Is it an off the shelf number, or something that's G4 only? I've been told the same as AP Racing 6 pot, but the only AP Racing 6 pot pads I can find (VZ HSV, same pads as VE HSV) look nothing like the G4/D2 pads? Any takers?
  21. Another customer who's had to use expletives to describe how good QFM are! http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/912481-post13.html
  22. Add a couple more to the list... QFM Performance Feedback: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4138203 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4141983 http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/820679-post3.html http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php...mp;postcount=13
  23. Hi all, Its been a couple of months so its time again for a another run of group buy pricing on a selected number of QFM Performance Pads! Overview: QFM's Performance Street pads fall into two compounds. The first is the HPX pad which is a perfect choice for street cars looking for excellent braking performance whilst retaining all the qualities of a good street pad. The HPX pads are ideal for high performance street cars looking for higher working temperatures with reduced fade, and also for Four Wheel Drives or vehicles looking to enhance their towing capacity or safety. The HPX pads unlike many pads in this performance range are virtually dust free, whilst maintaining low rotor wear. QFM's second high performance street pad is the A1RM compound and provides QFM with its club sport track pad. It is ideal for high performance street cars that take to the track to test the limits, whilst still being a streetable pad. The A1RM is ideal for club level rally and hill climb where brakes are required right from the first corner! Latest report on the A1RM from a Zeder: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showpost.php...mp;postcount=13 Other reports floating around: http://www.cruisingbrisbane.com/forum/inde...t&p=1019731 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4138203 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Br...t&p=4141983 http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/820679-post3.html For more information checkout http://www.qfmperformance.com or give us a bell on 1300 884 836. Onto this month's group buy! This month is group buy is for 10 sets of HPX to suit normal nissan turbo 4/2 pot caliers, for those that want a high performance street pad with low dust and don't require a pad to withstand the riggers of track work. Again, sticking with half price rears deal... 10 sets of DB1170 HPX $79 + DB1220 HPX $39.50 + $12.50 shipping Aus wide: $131 delivered! Suit Normal Nissan/Sumitomo 4 and 2 pot turbo brakes. Suit all Z32 300ZX, and also all non-Brembo Turbo Skylines. We do now also have a couple of sets of Brembo in A1RM. Unfortunately can't offer the half price rears on the Brembo gear because its a full custom order... but I can include shipping for nothing to try and make up for that. Will still make them miles cheaper than other comparable Brembo pads. - DB1520 A1RM Front Brembo $149* - DB1520 A1RM Rear Brembo $149* Free shipping on all Brembo Pads. * We will be offering an 'exchange' service. Buy the Brembo pads at full price, and send us your old pads once you've taken them out, and I'll send you a cheque for $25 per set of pads (ie. $50 for a whole car). That brings them back to almost standard A1RM cost and makes them $124 off the shelf Brembo Street/Track pads!!! Any questions or to order drop me a PM or call 1300 884 836. Regards, Greg
  24. Hopefully someone who's tried them will post up what they're like and what they paid for them cause I'm curious to know what they're worth. I've seen their performance specs, and know what else with comparable performance is on the market and at what cost, but in typical Bendix fashion I'm not expecting them to come even close on price. Looking forward to seeing if anyone has used them though... Although (won't be a dramas for Skylines) I know the SRT range is very limited in application.
