  1. I lived in Amsterdam for a while and could not agree more, Dutch drivers are horrible and German roads are amazing. The most interesting fact I read before driving in Germany (yes I did research so I wasn't just another lost twat doing 100 kph with no idea about the road laws) is that the unrestricted autobahns account for a smaller percentage of accidents than the restricted ones, and when compared by by percentage of the road network, the accident rates are almost exactly the same. So is speed REALLY the biggest killer on the road? Or is incompetence or over confidence?
  2. +1 for lithiums post. HTA turbos are weapons and will give you the best of both worlds. Will give you 400rwkw and the same response as a gt3076. You'd be mad not to have a look basically
  3. Also saw a white R34 BT43UO at Austinmer opposite the beach at around 3:30
  4. Saw a nice looking black R34 with black rims and no rear wing on heathcote road at about 1 pm. Looked really nice
  5. Thanks mate. Yeah I'll have to check out the membership, I'll do a bit of reading when I finish work
  6. I hope so mate, are they generally weekend meets or are some during the week? My 14 hour shifts Friday Saturday Sunday don't allow for many activities on weekends haha
  7. Got some pics on the car if anyone's interested Trying to keep it standard so it's a good sleeper. I've even modified the heat shield to fit the 3 inch custom dump pipe
  8. G'day all. I'm not new to the forums but I'm starting to use them (and post) a bit more so I thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Brennan, I have a white R34 gt-t which is in the process of being modded (currently 217.8 rwkw aiming for 300 when finished just after Christmas). I'm a manager at the empire hotel in the cross so if any of you are around come in and say g'day and I'll buy you a beer. Hope to hear from you all soon
  9. I'm trying to avoid pods as much as possible. I'm trying to keep the standard air box. I'm going for a stealthy as possible look. I've even hacked up the heat shield over the exhaust to make room for the custom 3' dump so if possible I'd like to keep air box heat shield etc. obviously of this is impossible I can do without. I'm in Sydney; specifically bankstown. Know any good places that can do things like intake pipes etc. ATM I go to pulse racing at Menai for anything I can't do myself and they have been pretty good so far
  10. Oh right. Thanks for the help mate I'll definitely ask around at a few more places now
  11. So it will definitely need the intake pipe, spacer plate and probably 2.5 inch intercooler piping and almost certainly another custom dump? And oil and water lines maybe? Is $1200 a decent price for all those? That doesn't include installation obviously
  12. I'm pretty keen to chuck a HTA 3076 on my R34, does anyone have any idea how much modifying it would take to get it to bolt to the standard manifold? For example I've been looking at a GTX3076 and it's gunna cost around $1200 to modify things like spacer plate, dump pipe, intake pipe etc. as this is based on the garret turbos am I going to be looking at exactly the same costs?
  13. final price drop to $4500 the engine and coilovers are nearly worth that on their own...
  14. Decided to sell my R32 as I don't have time to finish it off. Was just a fun project to work on when I had time off from work but I dont have time to work on it anymore and its just taking up space. Looking for $6000 but I am slightly negotiable on price. It has just had a second RB20 put in as the first one was getting on in years and has a few nice mods on it and would be good if anyone wanted to use it as a drift car. Its got Hiflow RB25 turbo FMIC Jasma turbo back exhaust HICAS lock bar After market fuel pump (i forget which brand though, sorry) Tien Super Street Coilovers (currently not installed) Also has an aftermarket rear bumper and side skirt which both look nice Also has standard Airbox (and a pod filter that i took of it) and standard BOV still plumbed back to intake The bad points are there are a 2 small dents, 1 on the bonnet probably about as big as a 50c piece and a second on on the passengers side above the front wheel. The inside is ok but the dash needs a little bit of work, new air vents but would be cheap and easy to do. The car has no rego and would need an engineers certificate to get rego but would only need a smaller muffler to do so because the front bumper and reo have not been modified to fit the front mount, so if you wanted to do that you could. inbox me if you're interested. Cheers, Brennan
  15. These appear to be as rare as hens teeth and I can't find one at the moment so if anyone has one lying around or knows of one that I could buy, please shoot me a PM as i really need to get hold of one. Cheers
  16. Whoops forgot that it also has Slotted front rotors as well
  17. Hey guys, I'm selling my '94 R33 gts-t 4 door. pretty much stock with a few nice mods so could be a good base for a future build. it has had a second engine put in about 20000 kms ago which has about 138000 k's on it now, while the body has seen around 230000 but no other parts have ever had an issue. there is 1 small scratch on the rear near the petrol tank but other than that the interior and exterior are in great condition. The current mods are: GFB BOV Front mount intercooler (brand unknown) but its grey which helps being a daily driver Pod Bilstein coilovers all around (not quite sure on height but its definitely lowered but handles like its on rails) Battery (brand new) relocated to the boot Aftermarket clutch (brand unkown) feels very nice HKS turbo timer There are probably a few more mods that i can't think of but not too many. It's registered until December this year. Currently the car is in Bathurst but i can bring the car to Sydney for inspection for very serious buyers. Asking $7000 at the moment but feel free to PM me an offer or for more details/contact details.
  18. I am doing this soon as well except im definitely doing it in a shop because i know i'll bugger it up hahaha. i got a quote from CRD in sydney (very respected workshop in sydney) and their quote was $3000 if there was no unforseen troubles. so yeah other places would definitely do it cheaper than that, CRD would definitely be one of the more expensive places but also one of the best. hope that helps mate. also post your results so i know what im in for haha
  19. Hey mate, that car looks awesome. I was looking at doing this build myself (basically reshelling my current R33 into a 32) and I have been doing heaps of research on it. It seems that the biggest problem is the drivetrain as Im going to keep the R33 gearbox. I have a few questions about your set up, How much did the custom tailshaft cost, and how reliable has it been? I've just heard a lot of bad stories about the single piece tail shaft
