  1. Just the standard ecu richness so far as I can tell. Certainly not over the top
  2. Nulon synthetic 10w 40 for winter. I'm gunna change to a a thicker oil in a couple of weeks now it's warming up
  3. Damn I was in Germany about a year ago when I lived in Amsterdam. That looks epic, maybe I'll have to go again
  4. Where's that castle mate? Looks like a beautiful part of the world?
  5. Would it really burn that much? It's only a daily driver which rarely sees more than 2 psi positive pressure... Most of it's life is spent on freeways. Just seems excessive
  6. Also the pressure seems to be around 1-1.5kg/cm2 when warm at idle and when around 3000rpm it's around 3.5 Is that normal or a bit low?
  7. Hey all my R34 seems to be having an issue with oil. Every time I service it I put in almost exactly 5 litres of oil but then after around 3000ks I usually have to put around another litre in, which I'm guessing isn't exactly normal. Also the oil pressure gauge gets gradually lower (as you'd probably expect) so I was wondering where the usual suspects for an oil leak would be? There is nothing underneath the car when I leave it for a week or so and there is no visible oil I'm the engine bay. This is just on the outside however I haven't had any time to pull anything apart I've been to busy. To give a bit of additional info I'm using nulon synthetic oil and a genuine Nissan oil filter. Any help is appreciated cos I have a couple of days off now so I wanna find it if possible
  8. ^ probably just hadn't put it in second yet haha
  9. Just a picture from my phone of my car at Scarborough pub nsw. Was such an amazing day
  10. Not gunna lie Matt I saved that picture turbo smart posted of your engine bay. That thing is hot haha. I'll have something pretty similar come January
  11. Just thought of my actual biggest hate ever, but this won't be common to everyone. I hate people who, when I'm giving them a lift open up their cigarette pack and get a smoke out without asking. My dad does every time I give him a lift. I don't smoke and I don't want my car to smell like a dodgy pub. Don't just assume you can smoke in other people's cars guys
  12. Really enjoying this build up, it looks similar to how I'm doing mine except mine is an R34. That R33 looks really tidy though what a good find. Glad to see the crash hasn't put you off cars or driving or anything like that. Hope you don't miss your old car too much, I know if I crashed mine I'd be gutted, I've put so many hours into working on it getting it exactly the way I want a replacement won't do it justice
  13. Apparently it's illegal now and cops fine you for incorrect use of fog lights :S Glad to see my taxpayer dollars are helping tackle the big issues...
  14. Hahaha my missus yells at my mates when they do stupid stuff in my car she knows will annoy me. She knows I'm too polite to say anything haha
  15. Followed a nice R33 on alfords point rd about 30 mins ago. VOL666 I think? Also a nice GTIR was in front haha
  16. http://www.ringer-racing.com/product.sc;jsessionid=D7558C73E90103D7A66487AC38F48F8A.m1plqscsfapp03?productId=296&categoryId=180 Might be worth a look for you. Super responsive and almost exactly the same flow rate as the HKS 3037. Should bolt up with fairly minimal mods. I'm about to put the same on my R34 and I'm not changing too much
  17. I've run P100 in my R34 for about 6 months and had it tuned on it, power went up from 200rwkw to 217.8, not a bad increase seeing as nothing else changed. I generally get between 500-550kms on a tank but that's almost all highway driving. Definitely gives the car more power down low I've noticed too, never going back to 98
  18. Could not agree with this more. The next mod I want on my car is a cannon/big calibre gun just for these morons. Also one of my big pet hates is those idiots (usually P platers, sorry to have a go but usually they are) that rev their shit cars, usually magnas or integras in my experience, and try and race me. Why would I waste the fuel when I have 220rwkw in a modified skyline and you're lucky to have the power of 3 harnessed children at the wheels, I KNOW my car is faster
  19. Yes sorry turbine not compressor* It's quite common with the ceramics, my mechanic has seen heaps of them because apparently this theory of deliberately blowing it up is common. Can't understand it myself because it won't go any faster after the airflow is maxed so why push it any harder? Max the airflow and save for a new turbo and it won't cost you a new motor
  20. Ever seen the after effects of a turbo 'shitting itself'? Usually costs around $2k for a new motor after most of the compressor has been through the motor. I would say that's about what to expect; between 180-190 is pretty decent for an 18 year old motor that's probably down on compression since it left the factory. If you want more power, as suggested get some new injectors and a high flow turbo and you could see up to 250rwkw. As for 'moar boost', that doesn't always result in more power, after around 12psi the standard turbo looses efficient and it won't flow any more air. There isn't much difference between 12 and 14 psi except for heat
  21. You'll find your traction control switch at the end of your right leg; when traction starts to break, lift right leg slightly. Also on most good ECU's you can do boost by gear and just have less boost in 1st and 2nd. No reason you can't just lift off slightly though...
  22. White R34 number plates LLOOLL and red p plates and an SAU sticker spotted in a parking station in parramatta
  23. Too true Just to throw my 2c in, I used Edward lees to import my car (I found it personally in Japan at the auctions and just paid them to import it to save on hassles) and when I went to their yard to pay them after I'd bought the car they were very pushy on trying to sell me cars they had in their yard, even cars completely different from the one I actually asked for. I also organised that when they brought it in to the country they would fit an immobiliser and put new tyres on it cos I got told from Japan the ones on it were worn below the limit. When the car arrived they called me to come pick it up and nothing had been done. So round 2. I came to pick it up the next time and the tyres still weren't done!! And they lost the spare key for it. So in conclusion I would probably steer clear of them. Most car sellers are dodgy to an extent but anywhere that won't let you inspect the car clearly shouldn't get your money. Be patient and find the perfect car, it'll be worth it
