Give Ben the same car, same parts and you would have most likely seen an even better car. I didn’t mean to say ICE are amateurs, they have been tuning imports for quite a few years now. When compared to RacePace Motorsport they look like amateurs in my opinion.

ICE will probably do the job, though they are just amateurs when compared to RacePace. I don’t know how much they charge for a tune, I do know you will pay top dollar at RacePace. So if you want a quick/cheap tune ICE might be the guys to see. While RacePace are quite expensive just consider the fact that they are the best import tuners in Victoria and possibly even Australia. So you get what you pay for I cannot quote exactly what Ben will charge you … I estimate; $150 / hour About four figures for a PowerFC tune … of course I could be wrong so ring them!

They can be pricks and usually are. Not even 30 mins ago I went down the street to grab a bite to eat and a cop car started following me and then harassed me at the lights. I was under the speed limit doing nothing wrong as other cars fly by. He came speeding up sat next to me and just eyed us off. Thankfully, he must have had some kind of conscience as he left it at that and sped off at the lights. Your case is pretty f*cked up and I do believe that you would have been doing nothing wrong. Even if you did stir the other guy by showing off a little bov and giving it a quick squirt, that is hardly street racing and certainly not impound worthy. As crappy as you situation is I usually find myself in worse ones every six months or so ;( There is no way to avoid them other than selling the car. My car is loud and white and it stands out like dogs balls, not a good combo It is easier to get away with things in a quiet dark car, they go more unnoticed. Just 3 months ago my licence was taken away from me for 1 month for “speeding”. However, they admitted to having no evidence, they just believed I was speeding. Although I may have been they had no way to prove this. If my record was not already so f*cked due to a whole list of offences I would have contested it. I was once fined $500 for an unregistered vehicle (my car) which was of course registered. The registration was never suspended and I go a print out stating this from VIC roads. The police didn’t care and I was forced to take the matter to court if I wanted to get off the hook.

They are a different art form, although Ben is a great tuner and engine builder, there are good tuners that can’t build engines and good engine builders that can’t tune Ben gets my VOTE!

At the end of the day we don’t really know if it can be done. If it can be done I would like to know, I don’t know why … I guess this thread has become so long now it would just be nice to know. So XR6T man if you want to actually make some waves post some pics and get a video of you hammering the car. If it can be done and you show it to us we will all have to accept it. If you don’t then its just another silly claim made on an internet chat forum!

If all you wanted to do was educate us then there was a better and smarter way that you could have achieved this. First of all show us a genuine dyno sheet and time slip, introduce us to the car, some engine bay shots. Maybe record a video of you doing 330kph+. Most of the guys would love to believe you, but without evidence you are just another guy claiming what seems like absolute bull shit on an internet forum.

I remember this one kid that was about 18 claiming he had a shit load of exotic cars on an enthusiast forum. Cars like Ferraris and so on, for about 6 pages guys drilled him, them he decides to post pics of him in them. It was quite funny, apparently he had something big to do with eBay when it was created. It does sound silly, what production cars do over 400? There was a video going around the net of a street driven GTR doing 320ish. That was big news around the globe and you recon you can do a lazy 330+? I don’t care what planet you are from that’s hard to swallow! It is interesting how your trap speed is similar to that of my car 190kph. How long does it take you to hit 340? Where is this really long stretch of road that you have found that provides excellent stability and loads of down force?
