  4. I am extremely happy to announce to everyone that the naming rights sponsor for the 2007 Tasmanian Drift Series is JDS Auto Imports. This is an exciting opportunity for both ourselves, the drifting community in the state and also JDS Auto Imports to work closely together to further the growth of this motorsport in the state. It is also a great opportunity for JDS to expand its brand name awareness through one of its main target markets, the drift community and also members of the public who share an interest in Japanese imported vehicles in Tasmania. Id like to thank Jared, Blake, Jade and the entire crew at JDS for coming on board for the entire series. For those who may not be aware of the business JDS Auto Imports specialise in importing vehicles from Japan and can also access a wide range of parts and accessories for most Japanese vehicles. Ben keep an eye out for full details regarding the series later today

  9. First post updated with confirmed details . Hope to see a few people there.
  10. LOL what a weekend this is going to be wacko.gif . NissanSilvia.com is running a nationwide toy run cruise on Saturday December 16, however obviously everyone is welcome smile.gif. MEET LOCATION: Rosny College Carpark MEET TIME: 11AM CRUISE LOCATION: To Kingston Beach via Sandy Bay Road and Bonnet Hill. From there down the Channel (think its Channel) highway to the Nicholls Rivulet turnoff. Along Nicholls Rivulet Road into the Cygnet Football Oval Car park then back into town through Huonville. Just to confirm the entry requirements for the cruise is either a toy for the Salvation Army or $10 smile.gif. No toy or $10 no cruise, its not much of an ask. Ill let all the posers decide on the meet location and the cruise destination biggrin.gif. REMEMBERING this is a toy run and a slow cruise, NOT a race wink.gif. The cruise route should ideally stay away from the CBD, take in a hill/twisities or two and also come to a few reasonably busy meet points to collect other cars and toys smile.gif. Fire away with your ideas people biggrin.gif. Ben
  11. This is the first drift practice day in Tasmania not run as a CAMS event biggrin.gif, thus not requiring the usual requirements such as a CAMS level 2 licence, pass CAMS scrutineers etc etc. WHERE: Baskerville Raceway, details of the track and its location can be found HERE WHEN: Sunday December 17 TIME: 9am-1pm To make it clear this is NOT a competition, there will be no top 16, no judging just everyone going out and improving their drifting techniques on the track biggrin.gif. Ok here's a CONFIRMED rundown of what will and wont happen Sunday. At this stage NO PASSENGERS! There is a slim chance this may change and SOME drivers may be able to take passengers at a specified time during the day, but this decision is out of my hands. This does not mean passengers wont be allowed on January 6 for the olds drift day, the decision has been made for this day only. There will be a drivers briefing at 8:45AM. ALL DRIVERS wanting to drive MUST attend this briefing before heading out on track. Practice will start at 9am and will be in the form of single car runs ONLY (ie. no tandems). The day will conclude at 1pm and for the next 30 minutes all drivers will be required to assist in sweeping the track surface and edges to return it to an acceptable condition. REQUIREMENTS: Drivers must be a current member of a CAMS affiliated club such as the Hobart Sporting Car Club or Light Car Club of Tasmania. Pulp 98

Was supposed to arrive into the pumps at Selfs Point last month, but the safety team they set up to assess the setup deemed the setup unsatisfactory so we now have to wait a bit longer while they set everything up again to pass the safety inspection. Oh and 98RON petty will be 2c/L dearer than ordinary 95RON petty . This all came from the manager at Shell North Hobart, so it aint bullshit .
  14. Pro. Kutzi tuned my Power FC and i am very happy with the tune. Would recommend him to anyone looking to get an FC/SAFC tuned.
  15. Yeah Tim a boost controller is NOS didnt you know that? Thats why everyone loves the missile switches on the bleed valve setups so they can be LiKe Da FaSt AnD Da FuRiOuS N DeY cAn B KoOl LiKe PaUl WaLkErZ n BlOw DeIr FlOoR oN2 Da RoAd WhEn DeY hIt Da NoOoOoOzZzZzZ SwITcHoRz SiIiIiIkKKKK!! ... that was a tad overused eh? haha
  16. I spoke to the owner of the white R34 GTT with graphics, a kit and stock rims down here in Hobart and he reckoned his car was running NOS and making close to 500bhp. Personally i call bullshit, but you never know. From what i saw it has a decent sized FMIC, full exhaust (3.5" or maybe 4" towards the back), boost controller and some gauges. Reason why i call bullshit is coz he said he was running "Stage 1" NOS. When i asked him what HP shot he was running and to explain exactly what "Stage 1" NOS is he just repeated it was Stage 1. I also said what turbo, he said standard :bs!: . The car came from NSW and was tuned at a reputable workshop, i cant remember which one exactly. He still has the workshops sticker on his rear windscreen.
  17. Yeh ive heard about that Ceffy, but am yet to see it. Hmm.. chick driving it eh? I might have a dip.
  18. Here's my aftermarket Aluminium Radiator Overflow Tank. I got mine from Embelton Engineering In WA.
  19. Heres all the details you need to know guys. See ya all sat.
  20. I HAVE, yes thats right HAVE decided on the meetup point. The Meetup point for the cruise is in front Of Macquarie Wharf Number 2 at 12:30PM. Its at the bottom end of Evans street, which to get on you turn left when you see the Gasworks 9/11 Bottleshop. The planned leaving time to start the cruise is 1pm. For all those who are wondering where the f**k this is going this is the planned cruise route: Leg 1- From Macquarie Wharf Number 2 to Kingston Beach via Sandy Bay Road, through Taroona and down the windy back roads into Kingston. We will all meet back up at Kingston Beach where all the parks are facing the wharf. Leg 2- From Kingston Beach to Cygnet via Margate, Snug, some targa stages which i have to double check where the turn off points are . Meet back up in Cygnet. Havent decided where to meet up there yet, will do this on sunday or monday. Leg 3- From Cygnet to Kingston McDonalds/KFC/Video City car park. Cruise back along the same targa stages through Snug and Margate to the car park. Have to check the size of this car park, if its too small we will just meetup back at Kingston Beach. Leg 4- From Kingston McDonalds/KFC/Video City car park back to Macquarie Wharf Number 2 via Ridgeway and Fern Tree. This road goes around Mt Wellington and is meant to be pretty good. Opinions people? Of course we may stop a few times along the way due to people getting lost, but this is the plan.
  21. Righto guys im thinking of making the meetup point the same location as the Platinum car club photoshoot down on the wharf at 1pm on the 27th. Its down at the end of the street with the Drunken Admiral for all who dont know. You turn left off the highway when you see the Grand Chancellor building and the Gasworks 9/11 bottle shop. What do you reckon guys???
  22. That counts you out then Button. :kick:
  23. Just so happens that im the best man at my mates wedding on the 20th. Oh well shit happens.
