I don't know. The guys at Japanese Motorsport here in Adelaide have seen them there. I'll have to check FAST now.
-
Sure - here's where it should go... You can see the wide cutout/recess in the rear edge of the roof trim, and the cables for the light.

Hi all, Looking to be a geek - I'm after original Japanese brochures for my 1993 GT-R V-Spec. There was a brochure produced for the GT-R and a separate one for the V-Spec. Cheers! Mike T

Hi all, My GT-R came with a space where the high mount light should be. I'm kinda keen to reinstate it for safety/originality/avoidance of defect reasons. Does anyone have one? I'm in SA but happy to look at items interstate Cheers! Mike T

Hi all, I'm after original mats, or even just an original driver's mat for my GT-R. The car came with no driver's mat, and a kind SAU member gave a a used one with the red skyline badge missing. The mats that did come with the car are in excellent condition - so I'm looking to match them with a similarly excellent driver's mat, either on it's own or as part of a complete set. This is what the others look like - dark grey with woven stripe, light grey piping and thing red 'Skyline' badge: I'm in SA but happy to look at items interstate. Cheers Mike T

Hi all, I'm after an original (factory fitted) muffler for my GT-R. I have an aftermarket muffler on the car at the moment and it's the only non-genuine part on the car. I just want to have an original muffler on hand in case I decide to go completely stock. I'm in SA Cheers Mike T

Hi all, I'm after a pair of the moulded trim that surrounds the interior of the rear side windows. The vinyl is peeling from mine. I'm in SA but happy to look at posting from interstate. Cheers Mike T

Hi all, I'm after an original (not reproduction) boot spolier and hood lip for my GT-R. The boot spoiler I'm after is the optional 'lower' one that sits full width on the rear edge of the boot. The hood lip is the optional lip that sits just above the grille at the leading edge of the hood. Ideally they should be dark gunmetal grey (the factory colour is 'Gang Ray Metallic') BUT if that's not possible then I can get them sprayed to match. I'm in SA but happy to look at posting from interstate. Cheers Mike T

Do you have: Original mats? High mount brake light? Interior rear side window surrounds (i.e. the plastic trim that goes around the window)? What are the exterior front and rear window mouldings like? -
Hi all. I am looking for the following for my R32 GT-R: High mount brake light; Original floor mats (grey with thin red 'Skyline' badge); Original cat-back muffler (yes, the original factory muffler); Interior rear side window trim (i.e. the plastic moulded trim around the window) - the textured 'vinyl' coating is peeling off of mine; Gunmetal grey Nismo boot spoiler and hood lip (I think the factory paint colour is 'Gang Ray Metallic') Demister vents for top of dashboard - mine are warped My car is almost completely stock and in excellent original condition, so I'm looking to replace parts that are showing their age. Cheers! Mike

World Time Attack Challenge 2012
mjtown replied to handbrake's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Hi all, I've had two people say to me that one of the original ATCC GT-R's was for sale at this event? One of them was present at the Time Attack Challenge, the other heard about it 'on the grapevine'. Neither are the sort that are prone to bullsh*tting either. Can anyone confirm? Apparently the asking price was about $300k and includes al of the team suits etc. ??? -
My 94 R32 Gt-R Build Diary

Looks awesome. I've got a V-Spec that seems to have had the Nismo front bar and bottom lip specified by the original Japanese owner. What I think I'll do is to put an original hood lip and lower boot spoiler on like yours though. I think that they look tough as. Is the rear bar a standard factory item or was it a Nismo spec item? The bottom of it seems to be lower than mine. Where did you get your floor mats? Did you get the seats re-upholstered or did they come like that when you bought the car? -
Cool - the website doesn't fill me with confidence. It's not what I would expect from an e-commerce site dealing in high value items, whereas rhdjapan has all if the functionality that I'm used to (pictures, descriptions etc)i. It'a good to hear that they provide good service because I'm going to start ordering new OEM stuff to freshen up my car soon and amayama have a far larger range.

R32 Gt-R Oil Temp Gauge - What Should It Read?
mjtown replied to mjtown's topic in General Maintenance
Yeah, a guy that I know who has a lot of experience with RB's got his hands down there and made sure that everything was connected firmly. Hey presto! It worked! -

Mine seems to be fairly settled at an average of 75-85 degrees now that it is connected properly. -

Great stuff - thanks guys. You've pretty much sorted it out for me. Btw - the oil temp gauge is now working. It was an electrical connectivity issue. -

Cool... Did you use a Nissan cooler, or did you go aftemarket? Coolant temp wise, does yours get up to temperature really quickly? -
R32 Gt-R Oil Temp Gauge - What Should It Read?
mjtown replied to mjtown's topic in General Maintenance
Cool - thanks! I hadn't thought of the relationship between the oil and water temperature. On a related note then, i'm amazed at how quickly the water temperature gets up to the centre of that gauge's range. It's only a minute or so, two at the most and then it's at operating temperature. It then remains there solid as a rock. Again, is this normal RB26DETT behaviour? To the best of my knowledge it's an unmolested stock standard engine (R32 V-Spec... so it should be stock) with only 67,000 on the clock. Apologies if all of this is a bit 'noob'ish' - I've never owned a Nissan RB engine before. I'm also not a mechanic (I'm a construction professional). -
Hi all, Pop quiz - what should the oil temperature gauge on an R32 GT-R read? Mine sits at the bottom (70 degrees) all of the time. Is this normal or abnormal? If it's not right, where should I start looking for the fault? Cheers! Mike T
